Horrific crash.

This is the reason I am a tire nazi. I wonder whether the weight of all those people could have overloaded the chassis.

How terribly sad. When I was leaving on my maiden voyage to La. a couple of weeks ago I had my tires checked before leaving and the young man at Discount Tire informed me that these tires were 8 yrs. old and needed to be replaced. Just looking at them on the outside they look OK but he said they start separating from inside. Replacing them is next on my list. One mishap with that and you can buy the farm.

So sorry to hear about this accident. I wonder, however, if they were also over their weight limit with 10 people inside the motorhome. They couldn't possibly have been belted in, so lucky they survived.

I am happy to have a new vehicle with new tires, but I will not hesitate at all to replace my front ones. A blowout is the really horrible nightmare I worry about.
