Wet Thursday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wet Thursday Morning

Good Morning from the soggy 45th,

Another rainy morning here in northern Michigan. Supposed to be moving out later this morning with gradual clearing later. High only around 52, so gonna be chilly. Frost advisory out for tomorrow morning, which is par for the course here this time of year. My flowers are resting nicely in their flats in the garage till I can plant them, probably next week. Need to get past this chilly weather first. I never plant till after Memorial Day here.

Friend arrived yesterday and we yakked up a storm till bedtime. Not sure what is on today's agenda since the weather is chilly and damp, but we will find something to get into I am sure. Plan to go to RV dealer either tomorrow or Saturday and look.
Will probably go over to Otsego Lake State Park and say hi today maybe.

Not sure what's on the breakfast menu here this morning, but we have cereal, milk, toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, etc., so if you want to stop by, come along.

So with that invitation, I am going to wish everyone a wonderful day, hope the weather where you are is nice and dry, those in the east still have that front moving through yet, so stay safe. Glad to hear all in OK are safe and sound where you are. Hopefully that is the last of the really bad weather to move through there this spring, but one never knows.

Good Morning everyone,

What a week!!!
Monday and Tuesday greeted me with major plumbing issues. Thank goodness there are people who deal with this ... for a price!

Wednesday I had my initiation to the court system here, through jury selection. I managed to not be selected :D I don't like to make decisions about others.

Today back to " normal" whatever that is any more with all the storms rolling through.

Hopefully the weekend will be a quiet relaxing one. I stay home on holiday weekends ... let others fight the crowds and chaos.

Y'all have a great day I am off to CURVES to de-stress (sp).

It's cloudy, but the rain has cleared over here in Tawas, Sue. Hope it gets warmer because it is still 46 here at 11:00 am! Big change from two days ago.

I am really tired and wiped out from a bad cold or whatever I have. When I camped with my son three weeks ago, he was sick, so I guess that is where I got it. Headache, really tired, stuffy nose, etc.--just being miserable for the first time in a year that I have really been sick. It did not help that I had to fill water, check in, and plug into my site in the pouring rain yesterday. Today, I am not budging from my RV. Got everything I need. Tomorrow, I will head to Aloha SP for four or five nights, so won't do much running around then. (Still looking forward to seeing Sue and her friend, however.)

For all of you thinking about full-timing, I have found I really need a period of doing nothing time every once in a while. I need to sleep in without worrying about a schedule, lounge around reading and watching TV, and just doing nothing. Another thing I am going to do over the next year or so is drive fewer days in a row and stay a couple of days between drives. Also want to stay longer in places.

Wish I had my new electric bike. Paid for it, but they had to order one without a big scratch/scuff on it like the one they had in stock had. It was in a prominent place, and even with a discount for the damage, I would have been looking at it constantly while riding it, so wanted it to be right. Will have it by end of next week.

Back in Sarasota after a great 6 week "vacation" Had a fabulous time! tGM finally got his blog finished and we are now awaiting him to complete some business before we leave to......have no idea yet  Lots of clothes to wash, food to gather, cleaning and friends to see. Played tennis our first night back with those that are still here and tonight is girls night out! Got to the gym this am and am finally feeling that we are back to our usual routine when at S&F. Hope everyone who is under the weather improve, those traveling and GTGing have fun, welcome to all the new members and those looking to purchase-enjoy. You've picked the best group for info, fun and good natured bashing; just be wary of our "sheet" gal-she doesn't miss any opportunity   carold

GOOD LATE AFTERNOON TO ALL

I arrived here at the trailer yesterday late morning, minus my computer which, as I changed its carrying bag, I did not see back at the house! I did have my tablet, thank heavens, as when Molly woke up in pain this morning, I needed it to look up the vet's phone number.

Home we all went to the vet back in Orlando, blood tests done, urinalysis done, prodding all over done-----and are still none the more aware of what is ailing her. She does have antibodies for Lyme Disease, and so has taken Doxycycline more than once in her life, so I was thinking arthritic-like complications of that, or, more seriously, kidney disease or liver, or something internal. Blood tests all show good organ function, (thank heavens) but urine shows a possible urinary tract infection. For all I know, her bladder might have been killing her and making her whine when she tried to move. Anyway, $339.39 later, we are back here at the trailer with doxycycline and deramax for pain. Already she seems better----and SHOULD for that price doc visit!

AC is having to run in here to keep us comfy today. Tomorrow is the day I drive the kids to the airport for their week-long trip to CA. Today we will relax and they can show me what to do with the kitties in the house. I have to go back to Orlando on Tuesday evening to be there for a UPS delivery of one more temp registration FL plate for the truck for the ride home. After that, I ought to be ready to pull out of here, weather permitting, on a week from Monday.

Judy, that sounds like good advice, that lingering a bit longer at places you like so you can really get the "feel" of them. I only wish I could do that on my way back north, but I will be in such a hurry to get back between storms, and to see my Orion who has probably doubled his size since I left in October. I expect it will take me at least 7 days, however, at a bit over 200 miles per day, to get back there. I believe I have found campgrounds for every night this year----will start calling for reservations perhaps tomorrow----time to rest now after I take Molly out for a quick pee.

Hope everybody is ok and doing some fun things wherever you are.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!
