Good Morning everyone,
Hearbreaking is all i can say in regards to the OK tornado, especially after sitting there and watching the whole thing live on TV. You could just see the monster getting bigger and bigger and debris flying, and knew that people's lives were being torn apart under it's fury. And when it finally dissipated, the helicopter flew back over it's path, even before the rescue people got there, and the destruction was unbelievable. But it was the pictures of the school and the news coming that there were children in there. And watching people pick up pieces, cause that's all they have is pieces, of their lives. So sad.
We had some severe weather through here late yesterday afternoon but the bulk of it went north of me. None the less, the edge that did come through here, unleashed torrential rain so hard that it sounded like nails hitting the house and had there been hail, I would have feared for my windows. The upsde is, we are getting much needed rainfall.
Carolb, get yourself to a Chiropractor and get that disc taken care of. I can tell you from having had one myself, that you need to get that type of treatment in order for it to go back in place or you will have other permanent issues down the road. As was, it took about a month of 3 times a week for mine to get it back in place and then a few more weeks of followup treatments after that. Don't try website treatments, you need a chiropractor.
Today is house cleaning day and a vet appt. for Ms. Tessa, whom has been having a LOT of "p" issues of late. Even having accidents in the house, which is something she hasn't had for a long time. Me thinks the kidney disease has progressed more.
So we shall see what the tests show today.
My friend Brenda will be coming tomorrow to spend a few days, not sure what we are getting into, probably some sightseeing and what not, maybe even go to some RV dealers. Maybe we will even pop in on Judy, just to say hi. She was our campground host at Otsego for the past couple of seasons, one month in each. Most of the campground hosts now, stay for part of the summer and then another host comes in for the other part. Gives everybody a chance to do other things. That's not to say you can't stay for the entire season, your choice.
She plans to leave on the weekend so as not to have to drive in the holiday traffic heading back south. And i plan to go spend some time at Aloha with Judy.
I was told by a friend yesterday evening, that our gas prices went up to $4 a gallon yesterday afternoon. I'm glad I got gas in the a.m. Also has me thinkiing the future of our gas situation in this country and how much we are going to be paying for it. In the process of looking for a new RV, I am beginning to think that perhaps towing a smaller rig with a gas efficient vehicle is not a bad idea. One really doesn't need to have a big fancy roomy rig unless one is staying full time in it. For some summer traveling and perhaps camping trips, a small rig would work out fine. All one needs is a bed, bathroom and just enough storage space and kitchen space to function in. If a small TT has a sofa and a dinette, the dinette can be made into a bed and left that way. One can eat on a tray table or a folding table, like I did in my last TT. Actually, I eat outsdie on the picnic table most of the time anyway.
Well, this isn't getting the house cleaned, so time to get with it. Have a wonderful day all. Those one the road, enjoy your travels and for those who are in areas where the storms are going through today, keep an eye on the sky and an ear to the weather radios or TV. Stay safe.
