I'm Here

Postby Sandersmr » Mon May 20, 2013 5:13 pm

I've been off the boards for a while because my life has just be going willy-nilly. I'm trying to get back into stuff without overwhelming myself. I've been camping a couple of times this spring and have another weekend planned this weekend with the Dutch oven group.

In June is the big family reunion and my sister and I have been working hard at that. We will be up in Sue/Colliemom's neck of the woods the last week of June then my mom and I are going to the UP for the following week - well part of that will be in Canada.

Work continues to be crazy - I will be glad when I can afford to give that part up.

I hope to be better at checking in in the future.

Sorry you've been crazy, but glad you're back.
AND you get to go to a DO GTG!
Now that's something to envy.

Because the meals that come out of a DO are simply (for the most part) awesome...there really is some truth to the statement that a different flavor is achieved from a DO. When you get your RV, you need to get yourself a DO and see what we mean! :D

Glad to hear from you. Hope that you can find some camping fun in the middle of the "work" thing. A little beats non at all and at least you aren't waiting for "someday" Do what you can, check in when you can. Life gets busy a lot!

glad to see you again! Love dutch oven cooking when we first moved west from the mid west we started up
a business where we took people on a scenic 4x4 trip into the national forest north and east of Jackson WY with the
Teton's very prominent in the view..one of the trips we had was a sunset dinner trip and it was using dutch ovens
in the am usually with a trip we would fill a oven with roast beef and potatoes an other one with baked beans built up a bunch
of coals and buried the ovens then supper time we would toss a salad dig up supper and reheat a tad bit...they so enjoyed the meal
now I don't have one sorta miss it but we considered the weight and opted for aluminum ones and never used them so one of the kids
now have it... ;)
