Hi Ladies;

Have been enjoying your forum info and friendly greetings. I am a solo traveler living in AZ who finds AZ way too hot for me in the summer. Have been workamping in State of Washington and Montana the past 3 summers and loving it. Will be crossing the other way this summer as I have a new Grandaughter in MA and want to be closer.

I travel in a 24' class c, towing a saturn vue. Hate the towing but it sure is necessary when going for so long. I have a wonderful rescue dog, Mesquite, who travels with me and we both enjoy hiking wherever and whenever we can. I tried to post pictures of she and I but couldn't quite seem to do so. . . I love the computer but get really frustrated when it doesn't do just what I want when I want

Hopefully will get a chance to meet some of you along the road. Anyone near Sierra Vista, AZ?

Diane

Welcome Diane!
I'm so glad that you have joined our campfire circle. Jump in anywhere,.. you are among friends. This forum is relaxed, here we can share photos, web site addys, blog addys, and most of all friendship.

If you go to Photobucket you can put your photos there first then copy the IMG code (image) to your message and your photos will be there. The first topic in Maintenance/Tech forum here is how to post pics. Beth has put good instructions there on how to do it. Once you have done it a couple times it will be easy. Good luck.

When you come east to MA think about taking a jog in your route and visiting the Adirondacks in northern NY,... let me know when and we'll have a mini GTG! :D

Hi Diane, welcome to our group. Great bunch of gals as I guess you have figured out. There are good instructions on posting pics, but sometimes you have to be patient (which I'm not). We're from all over the place, so if you look at our profiles or our signatures, that might give you a hint. We like to meet each other and there will be no shortage of invitations. You can't help but like us. . Join and and visit the campfire as well as our morning GTG. carold

Well hello there Diane, you are only a couple hours or so from me, I'm in Scottsdale
and unfortunately I'm a year-rounder  and yep, its quite hot in the summer.
When I retire I'll be able to go away every summer but thats a few years away yet.
See Beths post on posting the pics, its a piece of cake, as long as photobucket
is cooperating

Hi Diane, glad to meet you - hope to do so in person someday during our travels.

If you get stuck with posting pics, go to the maint/tech room and post exactly what problem you're having and one of us will figure it out (hopefully). I understand getting frustrated though - sometimes I just have to walk away from things. That said, please, don't walk away from the forum - you've got a whole bunch of new friends here.

Hi Diane!

Welcome! Welcome! And congrats on your granddaughter. Isn't it great that we can just pull up roots -- uh, jacks -- and head out when the mood suits us?

I'm NOT a full-timer but am a solo traveler. C'mon in and join the chatter. I love this forum because we not only have a good time, we support one another through literal and metaphorical bumps in the road.

Welcome Dianne. Like you I find AZ way too hot for the summer. Unfortunately most places that are nice in the winter tend to be hotter than blazes in the summer. Grumble, grumble. At least you are able to pick up and get the heck out of Dodge in a manner of speaking. Cheryl

WELCOME, Diane!

And CONGRATS on being a new grandmother! MA is just a day's hop from where Cedar and I are in the Adirondacks of NY, so, as she suggested, be sure to let us know if/when you can head our way.

I have had a summer GTG every year now for three years, and will definitely have another one this summer. It will probably be in August rather than July this time, as I have some music festivals I want to attend in July. But I will be posting the info for it as soon as I get my schedule straight. I have a website that you can look at to see what's gone on in past years. I will post that link in the GTG room soon. It's strictly boondocking, as I don't have hookups here, but there are places to buy gasoline for generators and a dump station not too far from my house.

Hope to see you down the road!

Hello Diane, that's the best about about having an RV. Don't like the weather...start your engine! I Workamp summers at a Lodge on the North Rim, Grand Canyon. It's 9000ft and in a forest, so it's nice and cool. Then the first day of November I head for a beach somewhere. Best of both worlds. Hurry up and learn to post pictures. We love pictures! :D

Hi Diane and Welcome :) One of my son's 1/2 sisters and her family live in Sierra Vista AZ. I have been wanting to get over to visit them, but I'm still working full time. Glad you found the site, get comfy checking out the other topic threads, and happy travels. :)

Welcome to our growing group! Congratulations on your new GD; it's so nice you can travel to visit. I live in FL, but hail originally from NH/VT and have a sister in MA, so get up that way every summer. It'll be a little late this year...going to AK first. I also travel with my hiking companion, Roe, a yellow lab/cocker mix. Looking forward to seeing pics of your rig and furkid as soon as you can.
