That's short for 'interim vehicle' (but don't tell the van that, ok?).

Image

It's a 2000 Ford E-150 conversion van. I can aaaalmost stand up straight inside. The body is pretty good, the engine is fine, but there's lots of rust on the frame. I think it will last until the dratted trust is settled and I have some cash, anyway. The William likes the windows and the bench seat.

This will be the kitchen. I'm going to have fun building -- and if I make the units modular, I can use them in new van(s) as well.

I have to say, if you're going to be stranded, my sister's house is the place to do it. I've had the best winter! Now it's time to go home to Michigan and build.

Don't forget to take photos as you make progress on conversion. Such an interesting project.

William considers himself the everything supervisor! Especially squirrels. There's a real dearth of squirrels around here, and he is really looking forward to seeing them on the Blue Ridge while we drive home. What a dog! I'm really glad he likes this van, because he makes his displeasure very audible when he's in a vehicle he doesn't like.
