Another Sunny Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Another Sunny Tuesday

Postby Colliemom » Tue May 07, 2013 6:49 am

Good Morning out there,

Another sunny and dry day on tap here in Northern Michigan. We are really in need of rain. Fire danger is high, no burn permits being issued, not that i am burning anything anyway. But things are greening up so pretty. It's amazing how many shades of green nature has in spring.

Well Soos, today is supposed to be you leave day from Wickham, so will be your first tow with your new truck. Hope all goes well. It sounds like it was a fun week despite the rain.

Barbie, so sorry to hear abut your dad's issues. I know it's hard on you. That would be nice if you are able to get your own TT eventually, but not so nice in the way it has to come abuot right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Ava, sounds like you have found your own little piece of heaven down in Payson. Keep counting the days :) Sandi, it looks like you are having a bang up of a trip. Great traveling there. Enjoy, enjoy.

I spent almost all day yesterday on the road too, over 200 miles to two RV dealers. Went to the one that had originally placed the order for the Rockwood to confirm the cancellation and then looked at a Forest River Wolf Pup. Bit too snug for my liking and a little shoddy workmanship on this one, must have slacked through the final check process. Then drove cross state about 35 miles to the dealer that has the Sportsman that I have been eyeing. Looked at a couple of others that were on the lot as well. The one that i had looked at last week had been sold but the people who bought it, arrived the same time i did to pick it up and were more than happy to let me look it over again. I love this floorplan, but here again, the TT itself is well within my vehicle's towing range, but the darn hitch will go over the hitch limit  Although the folks who bought it, were going to tow it with a small vehicle than I am driving and no weight distribution hitch. The dealer said that a weight distribution hitch for me would spread the hitch weight out over the vehicle and trailer so I could tow it. Well...... We shall see. I'm just going to bied my time here and keep my eyes open for something. Still haven't thrown out the van project idea, but not many vans up in this neck of the woods. Might even be another MH deal out there too yet.

But todoay is going to be spent here at home and in town. Need to pick up some stuff to continue on with the landscaping overhaul and also need new latch for my patio door. Still in the hunt for the micorwave too. So will be busy doing that stuff today.

So wishing you all a wonderful day. Those on the roads, enjoy your travels and stay safe. I know there are going to be a number of you traveling before long. Will enjoy reading all about it. :)

[color=#0000BF]Good morning
Wow, a new truck for Soos!
Rain has finally stopped at least for a little while and temps warming some. This morning is very foggy but there should be some sunshine before the day is over..
Still have not found out for sure if Magic got moved. Eddie (campground manager) is out of town and the office is closed. Pixs on news Monday AM looked pretty bad and rivers are not expected to crest until late tomorrow. Rain returning on Thursday.
Doctor appointment this afternoon - follow up to address issue with ears/dizziness. Past two weeks of antibiotics have not helped much.
Wishing all a fun, safe day.

Good morning Sue, Donna, Sarah & all to follow :D

Yes, sunny here in central NY--another day of yard work! Donna, you are heading north to your summer location in PA? GTG!!!! Ferry Boat and/or Adirondacks--hope to see you!

Dull, boring routine being home again. Need to water seeds I've planted, mow, then Piper's first class tonite. Would rather be on the road--envy those of you that are!!!

I still miss a lot of the MC regulars who have stopped posting :( so I'm glad to wake up to those that are still here! Y'all have a good day--& I mean "y'all," whether you're posting or just reading! 8-)

Good morning, Ladies, Its late but still morning, so will check in. Sarah, I am so sorry to hear you're having so much trouble with dizziness still. More flooding, sure hope someone got Magic to higher ground for you. The sun is out here this morning, but we have more rain coming, so will just enjoy seeing it while its out. Had two nice days last week, hope we have at least that this week :? :? The ground was real soggy when I mowed last week, can't even think of mowing this week, until we have several days of nice sun to dry it up, my feet squish when walking Maggie out back and its higher out there, as my property slopes. Oh well, don't want to mow anyway,

In reading the morning post find there are topics I don't know what is being talked about, guess I better set for awhile and see If I can find out some of the news I have missed. I am days and days behind on campfire and think that's where I probably should start. Washer is going and some chores are done, not sure I can set to long here though, feeling antsy. :D

Wishing you all a really good day, do something for yourself to really enjoy it,
Those traveling, stay safe, and enjoy,
CArol :)

Good morning all. Good luck with the continuing search for your RV. Yeah,Soos, hitting the road with new truck. Donna hitting the road too!! Carolb, I look forward to seeing your garden sometime this year :P Sarah, hope Magic is OK.

I took yesterday off and got a massage. Then DH and I went to see the new Iron Man 3 movie in 3D IMAX. Wow, what fun. That's it, a great fun romp with Tony Stark and all his iron man suits.

Today, I have a mountain of laundry from our 2 weeks in RED. Sheets, towels, clothes, dog stuff, etc. then cleaning inside RED and restocking everything for the next adventure. I folded my trike, but it won't fit in any of the storage bays. Gonna look at those platforms that fit in the tow hitch on the back :P

Our next adventure will be up to South Dakota, Wyoming and through Colorado to visit DH's son. Probably June and/or July. No, we don't have any reservations yet, but working on it.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Sunshine here too, switched my heat to A/C this morning...not holding my breath thought I think more rain is coming. I'm getting 'stuff' ready to list on eBay and my pictures just aren't cooperating. :( Black is so hard to capture, finally got a good shot but the little apple on the back of the phone I'm selling looks gold instead of silver. Pulling hair and thanking goodness for digital cameras!!

Carolb sounds like you need to just lock up your house and head down the road! Is Piper taking you to obedience class? :D Sarah crossing fingers that all turns out well soon, you and Magic.
Safe journey as you head out tomorrow Donna. You will find it Sue, just keep looking. Get you chores done Red so you can play. CArol sounds like you need a road trip!

Some GOOD NEWS!
Campground manager just called. He is back in town and said workers got Magic moved just in the nick of time (there was not much warning about the flooding this time and the park is short handed). He said it will be at least Friday before water might go down enough to get back over to the area where Magic is parked and that estimate is if we do not get more rain. I am so happy to find out that she is safe for now - owe those guys big time.
Fog is gone and sun shining brightly as temps rise.
Now if doctor can just fix my ears.
CArol, yes time for a road trip.

Glad to hear good news on your front, Sarah, now lets hope the next is that you're ears quit acting up!

I'm sitting overlooking the Columbia River. I'm on the WA side facing OR. I can see an osprey nest through my windows. Keep seeing mom and dad, hoping before I leave to catch a glimpse of babies. Nows when I kick myself for never getting the binoculars I always talk about. Just keep using my camera and zooming in, taking pics, then zooming in more :)

If I get ambitious, will work on my blog ... so much more to post!

Then again, Beth, sitting and watching beautiful scenery and birds is important time consuming work! :)

It certainly is ... doesn't leave time for much else! Well, eating ... I always seem to find time to eat. I can do it while watching!
