I also made more dog room by removing the entire dinette. That is what made space for the crates and the camp chair. That really gave more floor space for dogs and my large feet.

not nuts at all, I can't imagine NOT having one and right now I have 3. (course I'm not in my fifthwheel now but I was, and had
3 dogs then too) My bed is a twin and all three (little) sleep with me. I say go with what your heart tells you.

My dogs get 1/2 the bed and I get 1/2. I have an outside shower which I've never used. The fact that the dog you were thinking about may already have found a forever home surely means there's another out there hope, hope, hoping you're on your way to pick him/her up. There are so many waiting.

I rescued Sammie, my shitzu, two weeks before a 5000 mile trip. I still tell myself I was very lucky. She has been an amazing companion. She sits in the passenger seat while traveling. I bought one of those harnesses for the seat. She seemed to get lost in it so I switched to a leash attached to the buckled seat belt. She does not like anyone coming up to my MH driver's window. She will bark constantly until I use the water spray bottle. This happens mostly at NP gates. She does curl up with me on the bed. Anyway I can't imagine what it would be like traveling without her.

I travelled with 5 ( 1 large and 4 small) in a truck camper. We all managed to find space to co-exist. 4 of the 5 shared the bed with me. I had 1/2 and they shared the other half. The last one slept on the dinette seat. He definitely had more room. You will work it out. Linda
