Breezy and Cool Sunday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Breezy and Cool Sunday morning

Postby relaxing101 » Sun May 05, 2013 7:24 am

Goodness! I have never done this before! I have never started the Morning Coffee. Guess this is a good time to try it!

We are parked at a little "Kampground" just west of Mobile. It isn't the greatest but is fine for an overnight stay only. We are on our way back home after a week or so of camping and visiting with friends and relatives. The trip has been pretty good so far but the wind yesterday afternoon and forecast for today is a tad rough. Oh well, if it gets too bad, we will just find a place to park for the night!

Hope all of you are doing well and those that are traveling, please be safe!

Oh, coffee is on and cereal is ready! Enjoy!

Good morning Bonnie, Carolyn & all to follow,
Beautiful day here in KC. Overcast with a slight mist, mid-40's (after low 30's - it's perfect light jacket weather) - took Sadie for a nice morning walk while Sierra had her breakfast without being pestered. Would love being out on the road on a day like today.
Going to catch up on other posts now - just wanted to say 'Good morning'. :D

good morning ladies
ok, so I haven't posted much lately, have many many MANY things on my mind this past week. My brother contacted me
via FB that my mom had a stroke on Sunday, (that was tuesday) and was in the hospital. She wasn't eating and couldn't
talk. Sister sent me a note too, apparently my cousin was over visiting and noticed it, contacted my sister who in turn
called my dad and told him to call 911. So Tuesday she was admitted to the hospital and it turns out she didn't have a
stroke but she has a tumor size of a ping pong ball on the left side of the brain. Surgery scheduled for Tuesday. Sister
and her husband are up there now as well as brother and cousin. Mother seems very confused right now from what they
are telling me. My mother and I have been estranged for a good 30 years but I keep in touch with my siblings and for
their sake and my dads, I've got my mother on my prayer list. Hoping all turns out well and there is no lasting confusion.
She is 81 and battled lung cancer a few years ago (about 3) and docs had given her about 5 years after that. This could
be bad if it turns out to be brain cancer. My poor sister then has to fly back to Wisconsin Tuesday night to be at hospital
for hubbys brothers open heart surgery on Thursday. These are the kind of things that remind me I'm getting old and I
need to get out there and enjoy some quality life before its too late.
Then of course there is the issue with grandson and the big scary dog. Their electricity gets turned on Monday so he's
still here even though they have an extension cord for the fridge, there are no lights, tv, or ac over there. Yesterday
was utter chaos, 3 boys and a big dog hanging out in the living room, a very small living room! Every time the dog
sniffed or moved near the bedroom door my dogs went off barking and growling, even Maggie (who hasn't barked) now
barks with the rest of them. guess she has discovered her voice. Grandson #2 and his friend are not out there this
morning, so I guess they went home sometime during the night. Hopefully today will be more layed back and I'm thinking
this is actually a perfect time to load up the dogs and go for a Sunday drive. I think Payson is calling my name.
Have a great day, be safe and hopefully the soggy part of the US will dry out a little.

Good morning all. Ava,I pray your mother's surgery goes well and scary dog is gone soon and you find some peace and quiet :P retirement is soon and you will be on the road again :P

I'm taking the day off. We didn't get home from the NRA convention and rally till midnight last night. DH is headed back again today. After 3 days of looking at the exhibitors, there are still some he hasn't seen. :? Over 400,000 sq ft of exhibition space. There are some seminars I'd like to go to, but I am just plain pooped. So I'm going to make mysel some breakfast and go back to bed. Cleaning and restocking RED can wait till tomorrow. Although it is a gorgeous, perfect day outside. Blue skies, puffy white clouds a cool breeze making the air temp approx 60. I probably won't stay inside very long :P

Y'all have a great day and stay safe if you're on the road. Aloha

Rain, rain go away!!! It's doing it again but the good thing is our basement is dry guess the new, larger gutter drain pipes are working. Still have to have the crawl space fixed but that is finally scheduled for June. Why anyone would do a basement only part way puzzles me but ours only is under the kitchen, living room and bathrooms...
We went to a Greek buffet dinner at one of the local churches last night. They put it on every year and I enjoy going, this year one two other couples joined us and we had a great evening it was a BYOB (wine) which surprised me. the desserts were amazingly delicious. I was happy to see the desserts were available at the beginning so I had mine along with my meal. I didn't want to get too full for dessert! When I was little we always had our dessert along with the meal and I was shocked when I found out other people didn't do it that way.
I better get ready for church I hope everyone has a good day.

Have you and your family in my prayers, Ava. Going for a drive with the dogs sounds like a good idea for you today.

Raining hard here in TN. I've ventured out with Thistle twice in my raincoat and shower shoes with pants rolled up. Then back inside with the space heater on. I have TV , computer and book, so will get through the day. I may do some Wii exercise too.

Tomorrow I move a little farther north to a state park for a week. Hopefully it will dry up enough to enjoy the hiking trails.

Morning is long gone but figured I needed to check in.
Just saw on news less than 5 minutes ago that river is flooding again and entrance to Ditto is already under water. Eddie (campground manager) has my keys but I have not been able to reach him. All I can do right now is hope he can move Magic back up to the high spot near the storage area and that we don't get too much more rain. If the campground area floods it will be the 2nd time this year; very unusual so I'm told.
I've pretty much been confined to house for almost 2 weeks now with inner ear problem; no driving due to dizziness. Antibiotics don't seem to have helped; have follow up appointment with doctor on Tuesday. Haven't accomplished anything and that is not good.
Poor Nicky is bored and we are both suffering from total lack of exercise - well he is getting some running/catching chipmunks when it is not raining.
Prayers to Barbie and Ava; hope you situations improve quickly.
Great news from Sue on ordering her new home on wheels.
