Tuesday and which way to go?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday and which way to go?

Postby Colliemom » Tue Apr 30, 2013 6:36 am

Good Morning everyone,

I imagine that Soos is up and busy getting herself hitched up this morning to head for Wickham Park as is Dell who will be driving her MH over. Hope they both have nice weather for the drive and both arrive safely. Fun times ahead there.

As for me, I am in a debate about whether or not to go RV looking today or not. We have some rain moving through this morning, but is supposed to quit later on. It hasn't arrived over here as yet, but is moving east in this direction. Possible could dissapte too. There is an RV dealer about 50 miles from here that has some of the TT's that I have been kind of thining about and want to go look them over and then there is that MH which is about 60 miles in the other direction, where it is currently raining. For those of you who have been following that thread on that MH, they made sme changes in their post these past two days. Originally had listed it while it was still in storage for $13,500, then dropped to $12,900. Took it out of storage last Saturday, reposted on Craigslist on Sunday for $12,900. Then sccrapped that listing yesterday morning and relisted with different wording and upped the price to $13,500 again. Strange. There is also an RV dealer near me here that has a TT model that I am interested in also. So will see what the weather is going to do and go from there. RV hunting can be so much fun and also so frustrating as we all know.

Otherwise nothing else new here. Just doing the mundane things necessary to keeping a S&B in the spring. Yard is all cleaned up and debris hauled out back and dumped, woodpiile from the cut down trees is stacked temporarily and covered for now, will move later. Yesterday I hooked up my thatcher to my lawn tractor and went over my yard, loosening up the turf and a nice gently rain has soaked down in, getting the grass green slow but sure. So for the moment, I am caught up out there. Have landscaping projects that I want to do and a deck to paint, but will get to that. It's been really warm here, in low 70's and I'm not one to work out in the sun in that kind of weather, so am waiitng till we get a little cool down into the 60's to do some of it.

Sounds like everybody else have been busy with S&B's at the moment too and not up to anything much, although I can see "hitch-itch" starting to rise out there. Won't be long and those with rigs will be out and about again. I know some of you plan to head weat and northeast this summer.

Red, loved your clown picture. You look so cute.

Have a wonderful day all. If you are on the road, travel safe.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

I am up, all-righty, but waiting for the rain to either stop for a bit or at least slow down! It's looking a bit better out there now than it was an hour or so ago. Looks as if I will get wet hitching this morning. Sigh!

Time to feed the pups, toss a Frisbee another few times for them, hitch between raindrops, and then stow and go. I unhooked my septic stuff yesterday while my son was here to lend me a hand unscrewing the length of plastic pipe that fits into the slanted septic hole----I will need a pipe wrench to do that on my own next time. I don't have the twisting power to do it by myself.

Coffee is mostly over, and I don't hear raindrops on the roof right now, so I'd best get busy here. I will connect again when I get to my campsite. Have a good day, all.

I had the same problem with the hoses Soos, I ordered one of these from Amazon but this place has a better price. Called a Kwkiturn Drain Hose Wrench

Sue aren't you going to go look at that RV, even with the price increase sounds like a great buy.

Sun again this morning here and supposed to be 82! Too hot for my taste especially when it swings from the fifties to eighties in a couple of days time. But I have a dentist appointment this morning and need to run a few errands so best get started.

Good morning, all...have some internet this AM, so thought I'd check in from the deep woods around Gettysburg....It's been raining for 3 days now and more to come....but it's to clear tomorrow...

Have started my health/dental maintenance this week....went to the dentist yesterday for denture repair and the verdict on the rest of my teeth....all is as well as can be expected, but am without my denture until Friday because of the repair....so I'll stay home and let Ernie do the shopping....I don't do public places without the teeth.....  Next week starts the Dr. appts. on the rest of me..... Hence, this is my annual checkups....always in the month of May.....got to keep all systems in tip top shape for life on the road... ;)

The guys are both doing great....and got to spoil our Ava last Sunday....she's going to be a fisher-woman just like her Grammy...once we get the hang of setting the hook....

Well, better go try to catch up with all of you before I loose the internet signal....

Have a great day....all...

Soos enjoy your camping trip! Sue I wish you luck in your hunt! At least you have an idea what you want now...
My Motor Home is still at my son in laws getting the laminate floor... they only work on it when it is raining... it is a huge job as they have to cut every piece to to fit!
