Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning all--or should I say "few" :?

Yep, dpf, MC is for morning coffee & not many are up for it lately...but they'll miss out on experiencing my posts with "U"s!!! Got a laptop that hadnt been used in 2 years, so when I got online, it had to install updates--30,896 of them! I was wondering why I was getting "alerts" from Verizon that I was approaching my 1GB limit!

Anyway, Martha, so glad you were able to get away, but dang, that you caught such a bad cold & everything went to heck on the home front!!! Hope that doesn't happen often. So good to hear from you!!! :D

I love roses! Isn't it amazing what a life-span they have?? How special is it that you have some that were planted by your father, Soos? Over the past few years, I've planted 3-4 here, & it's always a "crap shoot" if they survive the winter.

Spent all day in the yard yesterday, & will do the same today, as well as get around to cleaning HB. I'm already thinking I need to get on the road again--maybe a few days in May. The Ferry Boat & Ruckus aren't til later in June, right? BJ, sounds like Elsie is ready for the road???

Donna, et al, hope y'all have fun at Melborne (is there a "u" in that?--Melbourne?)--beach time sounds good!

And Ava, good luck with your latest job/AZ state fiasco--I really didn't think any place could be worse than NY!!!

Coffee pots? Mine pooped out a few years ago, so I do the "boil water, pour through filter basket sitting on top of cup" method. Heck, that's how they made coffee before all this electric stuff!

And with that, off for another cup! Y'all are welcome to some--I'm the human Keurig machine, making one fresh cup at a time! Y'all have a great day & be safe wherever you are!!! :P

Good Morning from the 45th,

For those of you who might be new on here, I sometimes start off with that moniker cause I live just a few miles south of the 45th Parallel, which we know is halfway between the North and South poles.

I've been MIA around here too this past week. Just been busy in the mornings with other things and haven't been on the computer. Spring has finally arrived here with sunshine and warm temps, so taking advantage of the nice weather to get outside and do yard work, some doggie walking time etc. Everybody, including myself are busy cleaning up the debris left from the December snow storm that devasted the arae. Now that the snow is gone, you can really see the extent of the damage to the trees. Broken trees, limb and branches all over. I"m sure the tree cutting and lansscape crews are going to have a great spring.

Otherwise there really isn't anything new to report from this front. Just the yard work, cleanng up the house, repainting a bathroom, walking the dogs, etc. etc. Today I am heading for church in a short and then will come home and clean the backyard of it's piles I have raked up. Then might tackle some of the limbs in the neighbors yard next door. Will see if i do that or not. Shei s a widow lady and can't affford to have anybody come do it, so myself and another neighbor are going to clean them up for her. Hey, anything for a plate of her nice fresh made bran muffins

I'm still poking around in the RV hunt yet. Nothing has shown up as yet. But we all know it can be a long time consuming thing. Plus ewather has taken so long to get it's act together, who is interested in looking when it's 30 degrees and snowing out.

So, I'm off to start my day. Hope you all have a wonderful one yourselves.

Good Morning, We have another cloudy cool day here but will change soon they say. Yesterday was our 17th wedding anniversary and both of us forgot. I finally remembered in the AM and DH said he remembered but thought it was on the 28th. For some reason I thought it was our 15th so ended up digging out the certificate and checking. While I was at yoga he painted me a really cute card showing him in a dog house with all the dogs around saying funny things.
Carol, I wish I were road ready, seems like every time I think that I find another problem. After having Elsie plugged in for two days the batteries are showing only 1/2 charged so...either I damaged them or maybe my converter is bad or a fuse is blown  Yes, I've been reading as to possible causes, so will call the RV place tomorrow to see what they think I should do now. I want to take Toby for an overnight someplace close to home to see if he is really going to be a happy camper. :)
Martha thanks for the electrical tips yesterday, and I'm sorry you came home to so many problems ,hope they are all solved now at least for awhile.
Time for the dogs breakfast and my next course.

Good morning everyone!
Nothing too exciting here in KS. College kids are home for the day - we're trying to figure out when they'll leave for San Diego. :D My DD wants to get on out there, her BF isn't in a rush - his mom is coming over this morning & we'll have a little powwow with them. :) Oldest daughter called yesterday wants to know if we can fit a trip in down to TX before they leave for CA :o so might have a mini-road trip in the making in the next week or so.
Carolb, glad to hear you made it safely home & are getting your land legs back... but also glad to hear you still have the itch to roam. :D :D Sadie misses her little furry friends but is very good about getting on the sofa now.
Sounds like everyone is busy... hopefully spring has reached each everyone by now.

Well, DD is up, BF's mom is on her way over...
Hope you all enjoy your day!

I feel honored to be among the favored few.

It's gorgeous here in southwest Utah. Severe Clear with 91 degrees forecast today. I finally used the facility's saline pool yesterday, and it was glorious. I swam for an hour -- actual swimming a gentle breast-stroke. Well, I floated for a very few minutes. But it was wonderful. Then as I climbed out of the pool reality (read: gravity!) hit.  Oh. My. God. I want back in the pool.

Got an MRI on my gunged-up shoulder last week and the doc told me I have moderate to severe arthritis in the shoulder. I've never had that diagnosis before. (Hence the swimming to keep the joint moving.) Another cobblestone on this road of life.

Hope all of you have a fabulous day.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BJ!
You're a virtual newlywed!

I know (in my days pre-Mobile Marlin) we let the van battery run down several times by letting The Beast sit out in her booster seat in the back seat (it was in the garage). We left the slide door open. Didn't have interior lights on, but I found out that just having door(s) open runs down the battery for some reason. Anyway, the van battery was finally muerte. I then learned that completely draining a battery is very hard on it and does shorten its lifespan.

BJ, supposedly Auto Zone will test your batteries for free. My DH swears by them. The last time I bought some batteries from them it was a crap shoot. The local store didn't have the batteries I wanted and didn't seem interested in finding them for me. I went to a store in Lafayette. They didn't have them but got on the computer and found a store that did. I bought 2 batteries for about $200 and they put them on the counter and didn't make any effort to help me. I ask if they had a cart I could use. I wheeled them out and started changing them by myself. They finally sent someone out to help me. I think they were afraid I would steal their cart. Hopefully I won't need any batteries for a while but I won't be buying them from Auto Zone.

Looking at the weather radar it should be raining here but it hasn't yet. We are on the very bottom edge of the storms. My DH fixed a place in the old house to put the dog if it rains. He made the biggest mess. We have a barn with 10 stalls. I ask him why we couldn't put the dog in a stall if it rains. He didn't think of that.

I finally got around to unloading from my last trip. I am going to an RVing Women rally in 2 weeks in Breaux Bridge, LA. It's the first rally for the new chapter(Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Gerogia). It will be so nice to be so close to home.

good morning everybody
well, thought I had everything done yesterday but I'm still finding stuff to do in my room that needs cleaning.
I guess emptying my drawers and re-arranging for summer hasn't helped in the laundry dept. I know my summer
clothes were clean when I packed them away but it just seems better if I wash them again and freshen them
up. So...of course the washer is going. Then of course I pulled the dresser out and found out how white the
beige tile really is and have decided my floor needs scrubbing. So that is on the agenda as well. I also plan on
a trip to walmart today, its about time for new undies, and I need some of those zippered pillow case covers.
On that note, I better get to it, the day is a-wastin :D
Hope you all have good weather today, ours is suppose to be 100 degrees. :o :(

Sitting here for the day in a campground in western Virginia in Shenandoah Mountains. Tomorrow I head for Michigan and am trying to figure out a good route for a two-day drive and a place to stay tomorrow night. My GPS wants to send me north to Cleveland and then along the turnpike. That is about 80 miles farther than taking some other routes I know of. Most are dual lane almost-freeways, so I think I will take one of those. Google agrees with me, so that makes me feel better. I hate the turnpike!!! I certainly won't need reservations this time of year.

It is rainy and drizzly here, but that is fine as I really don't care to go out as I have too much work to do anyway. Got lots of catching up because of being without my laptop for so long.

Thurdsday and Friday are doctor and dentist appointments, but I am looking forward to camping next weekend with my son and three grandchildren. Camping with kids ages 3, barely 5, and 6 is a challenge, to say the least!

Hope everyone has a good day.

I swear by AutoZone also ... and even if you do drain your battery and thus lose life, they'll stand behind the warranty on the battery. And you can drive in there, and they'll pull the battery(ies?) and charge them/test them for you, then put them back if they are good. They'll do that even if the battery isn't theirs. I'm po'd with myself that I didn't go with their batteries when I added the 3 more ... and let the person doing the work put in Interstates. When I ever have to replace these, I'll be back at AutoZone.
