So I will be traveling off & on threwghowt the sommer. 8-) The past 3 mos have been absolewtly great meeting so many of yew!!!!

Good morning Carolb and all.

Carol, I am so glad you made it home safe and sound. It sure sounds like you will not be there for long with all the traveling and GTG's this summer. LOL. Yup, "hitch itch".

Not much going on here. I had 10 new campers come in yesterday and it will probably be busier today. We are down around freezing again this morning. It's supposed to warm back up to 70 again today. I will be glad when we are through with these cold mornings.

Kathleen, I hope you are able to find a wonderful new home for Shadow. Shadow has been a great companion for you.

Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Glad to hear you are home safe Carol. It will take you awhile to get your land feet :) Dawn you sound busy as ever, we had a frost warning here last night but I haven't been out or checked the temp yet. This has been a strange spring with it jumping from warm to cold. We haven't had the rain like some places a little north.

Hope everyone has a fun day and those on the road have safe travels.

GOOD MORNING CAROL, DAWN, AND ALL!

I was deep into a heavy dream this morning when a ROARING motor woke me up with a start! The huge lawn tractor driven by a ciggie-smoking grey-hair was roaring past my screen room, about 5 feet from my head where I was sleeping. It took me a minute to realize what was going on and to come back to reality from wherever I was in my sleep! But I am glad to be up on such another beautiful day. I can't believe how spoiled I've become to this almost Nirvanic FL weather in the winters, and I suspect it won't be easy going back to cold, biting bugs, and many long rainy days back home in the mountains. However, I will have to concentrate on those glorious smells of pine, fresh-growing wild berries of all sorts, the sounds of whippoorwills and owls and coyotes at night, the iciness of mountain spring-fed lakes, and, hopefully, if I don't get back there too late, the sounds of spring peepers singing me to sleep at night. I guess I will be happy to spend my summer back in the forested mountains of the Adirondacks. My bike, however, will remain down here in the flatlands, as biking up there is just too much work to be enjoyable! I have another canoe up there, so no need to haul the one I have here back.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming campout at Wickham Park in Melbourne next week, and hope to get some time at the beach there that allows dogs. I've had no beach time at all this year, and I miss it. Although, I now have to be so careful to lather on the sunscreen before spending any time in the open sun after my winter of skin cancer treatments-----not as carefree as I used to be. :)

Waiting for a guy to come look at my garage and let me know if he or someone else could replace the siding on the back of it, and about how much it would cost me. Guess I'd better get dressed and look a bit more civil than this disheveled, grey-haired, braless old hag who was rudely roused from sleep a while ago!

Happy day to you all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Carolb glad you made it home safe and sound... you have not let grass grow under your feet... what great stories you must have after meeting so many ladies from the forum...
Oh Soos what an odd way to wake up!!
My daughter sent me a picture of the half done floor in my MH... I think it will be so nice and when I do go to sell it will add value for sure... not sure what to use maybe one of those swifter's to clean the floor...
Take care everyone

I like to use water and white vinegar to dust/clean my wood floors. Cheaper than swifters, you can put it 1/2 1nd 1/2 in a spray bottle, spray a little on a section of the floor and use a dry cotton or micro fiber dust mop to wipe it up. For quick dusting just spray some on the dust mop. It also disinfects. I also use same mix sprayed on and old cotton t-shirt to dust my furniture.

This has started a one of the best threads, with CarolB returning to her S&B home after one of or possibly the most remarkable trips one of us has made solo, Soos interesting wakeup alarm, her reflections on her life awaiting her this summer as well as the winter she is blessed to spend in the most perfect place...Dawn, I was worried about you at first as it seemed you might have more work than you should have to handle with your health issues but it is now smoothing out for you..Kathleen, I have somehow missed your future plans but it sounds like you will be selling your home on wheels...I do hope and pray for the perfect new home for Shadow and I pray for you with your adjustments to your life...BJ,I am so glad to find out about the water and vinegar method and I'm writing it down..
(just an added note to a couple of you and I think you will know who I mean, you should publish your memoirs....this doesn't mean there isn't a book in some of us and I think about this for myself too...mine would have to be Erma Bombeck style titled 'Laugh those gnats away'

Dinner bell has rung! I think I have found a perfect home for Shadow... my neighbor's mom Hildi had to put her dog down 2 years ago... I called her this morning and asked her if she would consider taking Shadow... it sounds like it may be a go... she is coming to Normal the weekend after mothers day... she walks every day... she is one of these ladies like the energizer bunny! she goes and goes and goes... I told her to not say yes but to think about it... if she wants to take him she will take him when she goes home...
I will not cry now but know later I will... now I need to enjoy every minute I have with him...
Oh no I am going to sell my mobile home not my motor home... that may happen in a couple of years but not now...
