AeroPress coffee maker

Postby JoanE » Mon Apr 22, 2013 3:55 pm

I love this gadget. Previously I used a French Press but it tempted me to drink more coffee than I should. I found the AeroPress and it is the perfect solution. It makes one large cup of delicious American coffee (I use a dark roast), I don't need a coffee maker, it is fast and it takes up very little space. So even if I am not plugged in to shore power, I can boil the water on my stove top and still have coffee. It seems pricey but I don't have to buy a cuppa when traveling. In Europe, using it is a cult thing. They have brewing contests.

That looks like it would make a good cup. I never liked the French Press as it never came out the same. I am tempted but DH would laugh as I have just about every type of coffee maker there is and then end up using my little 4 cup Mr Coffee

..

This is the one I use both at home and on the road...
(for some reason, George had quit drinking coffee a few years ago and this was perfect for just me.)
