our trip to the confluence of the Salt River and Verde River
Usually in May this area is jam packed with tubers and floaters.

The campground is called Coon Bluff and allows for 2 week stay but I don't know if
it has hookups or not. I haven't looked it up. Its been totally redone since I was
last there some years ago. It has camptables, grills and GRASS, lots of trees too.

this is the desert terrain in the area

It looks so quiet and peaceful...could almost hear the birds singing.

Great pics - and wow, look at all that grass. Is it natural to the area, do you know? Or has it been transplanted, and they have to water all the time. I hope the former - will be mightily upset if the latter.

So glad you're getting to all these great places and then even better, you're sharing them with us!

I think the grass is natural and is so green because we had so much rain over
christmas. I have noticed lots of bottom grass in the desert lately. I put some of
those pictures in my puzzle program, makes for really neat puzzles.

Beautiful pictures! I think I would like deserts like that one seems to be!

I agree with some who have said that a cruise down the river on a floaty thing, hauling a floating ice chest full of cold beer beside me, would be a GREAT trip! (As long as I had a DD to take me home at the end of the trip!!)
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Another nice outing, thanks for bringing us along. The water is so pretty, I thought it must be that color, but had to look the pictures over again and figured that is the color of the sky reflecting in the water. In any case, it looked to be a beautiful place. Not my idea of what a desert is like either, in fact, the memories I have of the desert on the many trips I made back and forth to Ca. , those memories are not as nice as the pictures you have been sharing with us. I would love to visit the area you've been sharing with us, it has been beautiful. Thanks for sharing, I bet they did make for good puzzles.

Beautiful peaceful spot and a nice looking campground. I'll have to look that up and bookmark it...my kind of place. Thanks for posting the pictures.
