It's A Magical Monday!

I'm sitting here on the train to Indiana. The hubby leaned over a few minutes ago to wish me "Happy Birthday". I can see mom in the seat in front of me looking out the window. I hope she got some sleep. Today is RV pickup day!!!!

We arrive in Elkhart around 7:30am then we get a rental car and then off for a relaxing (HA!) breakfast before heading over to Nexus. They've been in constant contact with her since Saturday. I don't know who's more excited, her or them?!? Only one slow down. The vessel sink mom wanted is due in today so officially the RV won't be ready until tomorrow (though they're going to push for this afternoon). We can still stay in the RV or they'll put us up in a hotel. I don't think mom can stand another minute away from "Miss Kitty".

This is like waking up early on Christmas morning!

Wow, it is a magical day for you, T! Congrats, and hope you're on the road soon!

I'm still at Dawn's cg. Big day for her--she's moving over to another camp host site. She worked like a dog yesterday, so I hope she also gets some rest. I'll be leaving later this afternoon, on my way to gtg with Catherine:) I'm so happy Dawn talked me into staying here this long! Hope some of you can get by to see her and this lake sometime--awesome!

Good morning, Carolb. I did sleep like a log last night. I was tired. The weekend hours are pretty long, so I am really glad I am off today and tomorrow. It will be sad when you leave this afternoon.

As Carolb said, I get to move to my site for the summer in the CG I will be assigned to this summer. I am really excited. The CG I am moving to is my favorite one. My site is large and has lots of shade, which will be a good thing this summer. I am trading a fantastic view of the lake for a site that will work better for me and the dogs. I will be able to put up a much larger dog pen for them. I have been really slack on keeping everything organized in my rig while I have been on this site. When I got here, the Park Manager did not know if I would be on this site for a week or longer, so I have not done much of anything. The new camp hosts for this CG are due in on Thursday. Yay! We will now be fully staffed for Camp Hosts. I heard yesterday there are no longer any openings for Camp Hosts. That is really good news. All 9 CG's will be fully staffed. Here's hoping they all last the summer. I have been here when Camp Hosts left in the middle of the night because they could not take the summer heat. I thought that was really strange. No one knew they were leaving until they just weren't there one morning.

Well, better get my rear in gear as I have a lot to do today. I hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe. Carolb, watch out for the storms predicted for this evening.

Good morning all, It's cloudy and supposed to start with storms tonight, figures as I'm heading to St Louis tomorrow for a doctors appointment and visit with a friend. I'm a bit concerned as they also have severe storms and I plan to take Elsie and stay overnight. Driving in the wind concerns me but hopefully it won't be as bad as they are predicting.
T I can just imagine your Mom's excitement I hope they have everything ready today and that it is just the way she hoped and imagined it would be.
Dawn glad you are moving to your new spot, sounds like shade tress will be welcome come summer. Carolb safe journey, enjoy your visit with Catherine.

Let's see ... woke up to it snowing. Stopped. Got some drizzle. Just hailed a bit ago. That changed to a light rain. Is now snowing again. Was NOT expecting this until I got further north. Hahaha, but I picked the right nights to have electric, didn't I? Paid to stay here till Wed so might even unhook the car tomorrow and do some shopping. Maybe even get my hair cut ... needs it so desperately. Have not hooked up cable. They have so many channels I never would have gotten the DV blog posts done today. And want to do one more about the lake I spent 3 days at after that. Maybe tomorrow. Then again, who needs it?
