I'm out snooping the RV scene again. Jury is out on whether it's going to be a TT or an MH this time. My current ride, the Flex is leased for three years, I'm now starting 2nd year. It is supposed to be able to two 4500 lbs. but I am limiting it to 3500. Give one some leeway there. So wold have to look at small TTs. That would be okay in the short term, but I do want to travel west hopefully next year and I know the Flex will not be able to handle the steeper grades of the mountain states. So something to think abuot on that end. I have also been giving thought to just getting a small TT to monkey around with and enjoy for a summer or two and then get something else when the Flex lease is up and head west. Another thought being tossed in the mixer.
I've been tossing an MH around too. I know a lot of you have them and they work out fine for what you want to do. I"m a person who likes to park at a base camp and then spend my time sightseeing, so would require something a bit smaller, that's easy to just jump and and take off, come back and park again. I don't want to tow a toad.
There has been a small 22ft Shasta MH sitting on consignment at a local dealer near me here since last fall and it's still there. From the looks of the pictures, it looks to be in good shape and I have seen it driving by as well. Looks brand new. Only 36,000 roughly on it and 144 hours on the genny. Only thing i am not peachy on is the cabover has a window which would mean having to keep an eye out for leaks. It's a 2002. Has a rear kitchn, small bathroom, sofa, dinette and cabover bed. One cold do like Tina did and make dinette area into a bed. They are asksing $24,500 which seems a bit high for it. Don't know if the owners are firm on the price or not Was originally listed for $33,000 and then they dropped it.
I've also spotted another one on Craigslist. A 2000 Coachman Catalina Sport, 24ft I think it is. Being sold by an older couple who are not longer camping or traveling. Supposed to be in excellent condition,, stored inside and has all the usual motorhome amenities, bed, sofa, table, genny, cabover bed, bathroom etc. The lady posted some pictures on Craigslist of a model identical to thiers and it looks like a nice outfit. Said they will post pictures of theirs when they can get it out of storage. Too much snow right now. Per chance, a friend of mine had called on this MH too, right after the ad came out and he said he talked with the husbnad. Said it's a really sweet deal and sounds really good, that i should take advantage of it. They are willing to let it go for $13,500. My friends are leaving next week for a week and a half vacation, so we may take a ride over and have a look see after they come back. I checked with the owners and they said it's still there and still in storage, so just let them know if we want to come see it and they will make arrangements with the storage building owner.

Not that I am going for either of these, but I would love some comments from those of you more expereinced MH gals. Are these perhaps a bit too old, do you see any issues that might arise, are they goood deals? Should i watch for certain things, etc. Any suggestions, comments would be welcome.
