Saturday..what can I say..

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday..what can I say..

Good morning, all....Well, maybe we'll have a somewhat spring day here in SE SC..... :o  It's forecast to be in the low 70s today, so we're planning to wash the 5er finally....poor baby needs a bath so bad....haven't had a chance to do this in months....

Looks like we'll be staying on here for a few more days....we've been waiting for some parts from Open Range to replace the valves and pulls on the grey and black tanks for over a month.....since it is warranty work, the local repair guy had to jump thru hoops to get approved to do the work and to have the parts shipped to him from the factory....well, looks like it will all will be done on Tues.....we had planned to go to 4 Oaks RV Park, in NC on Monday, but now will not leave here until Thursday... Thank goodness, no problem in staying a few extra days here and we just called the next place to update them, too....

Other than that nothing else going on here....just enjoying life..... ;)

Okay, need more coffee.....
Have a great day, all...

Good Morning everyone and a happy Saturday to you all,

Can you tell I am feeling better. I am. Still have a few little issues in muscles in my right hip area, but figure that with more massages and some Chiropractic adjustments if needed, should be fit and fiddle later on here. I"m not using my heating pad or therapy cream as much as I have been. Course been out and about and busy too.

Getting spring fever as well, with the sunny days we have been having. Hasn't been overly warm, in the 40's, but it's melting snow down slow but sure and roads are all clear, so great for doggies walks now. Colder air coming back in again late tomorrow, and some snow showers Monday and Tuesday, but we can deal with that. It's heading all the way south too, so don't put your snuggies away just yet if you are down there.

Busy day coming up here today. Hair wash first thing this morning and then off to Lowe's to size up outdoor lights. Want to replace all the lights on the outside of my house as they have been up there for 16 years and are starting to show their age. Friend has offered to do them for me, all I have to do is go buy them. Won't be right away, but later on after they come back from spring vacation and get their own things taken care of. Also gearing up to get ready to get out in my yard and redo landscaping and stuff that I have been wanting to do, but with working and whatnot, didn't want to or didn't have time to bother with. Ah, this is going to be a great summer. Bought an Easter lily yesterday and am waiting for it to burst open and fill my house with the sweet smell of spring :D

Was over at the park yesterday dropping off some work shirts I had here. I've been over there a couple of times as they have been concerned about my back issues too. Was talking about what is going to go on this summer around there a bit etc, and for awhile, I thought to myself, I'm going to miss this. But yesterday as I drove out, my thought was, I am so done with it. Not going tomiss it. Will miss some of the campers I have gotten to know over the years, but plan to go visit and say hi, when they are here. I know when some of them usually come up. The new boss is going to be implementing a different way of working for the staff this year, among others things, so lots of big changes. Time to let it go.

Glad to see that everybody's doing okay, other than a bump along the road here and there. Soos, glad to hear you are feeling better after your big scare on Thursday. Red, you had a great trip in RED, snow and all. Such memories you have alread made. It can only get better from here. Ava, sorry to hear about you setback at work, but it too shall pass. You are a strong person, I know yur will figure it out. CArol, glad you are home and things seem to be going okay for you now.

Well, time to let somebody else continue the coffee for the morning. I'm ready to get moving here. Have a dinner with my cousin, her brother and sister in law this evening and am going over to some friends to size up a new popup they just got. Well, it's a used one, but new to them, and in fnatastic shape for a 1999. You would swear it's brand new. So, you all have a great day out there

Lost this thread twice before I finally got it posted, and see Lori has started a thread too. So switched mine over to yours. Good Morning Lori.

Good morning Lori and all,

It's a full 20 degrees warmer here this morning than yesterday. Should be in the 70s later. I finally hooked up my water yesterday afternoon. No more freezing temps expected overnight.

Will spend today with my dd and family, not sure doing what. Yesterday my SIL took the day off from work just to help me do some things in my RV. He mounted a TV in the bedroom, took apart the front TV box to get the DVD player to work with it, fixed a wall in the bathroom that was boing out, installed some PVC sections on the ceiling supports of the big outside compartment to store long handled brushes up out of the way, installed some D-rings on the side of the compartment for bungeeing my folding rocking chair against the wall. That really makes accessing the other things easier. He also removed my drive r's door step, which was rusty. He took that home to grind down, prime, and repaint. He'll put that back on today. What a great guy!

Soos, that was a scary episode you had. Glad they were able to get your heart back in rhythm, and hope the new meds help prevent that from happening again.

CarolinaGal, I'm happy for your good report. See you soon....hope it's warming up there too.

Have a great day everyone!

Great work contributions from your SIL....if you can't find a Cabana Boy for yourself, I guess a SIL would work just fine!

Good morning. Sue, glad your back problems are resolving. My DH is leaving for a class to get his handgun carry license. I was signed up to go as well, but DD is here and I want to spend as much time as possible with her. She returns to WA tomorrow and then departs for So Korea on Thurs. Won't see her for a year unless I go to So Korea to visit. Not on the table at this point in time. This is really tearing me apart. I'm proud, yet scarred. She is my baby and we have been so close. It is so hard to let go. I never cried when the other kids went to their first day of school or off to college. But when my youngest went to her first day of school I was inconsolable. Same when she left Hawaii to go to college in CA. I am having the same reaction now 12 years latter. I know it is ridiculous but I just can't stop crying  So we are headed out to do fun things. Yesterday we both got massages and went to a sushi bar. Today we will probably go down to the beach in Galveston and eat at Bubba Gumps on the new Pleasure Pier. We would always go to the Bubba Gumps at Ala Moana shopping center together when we lived in Hawaii. Just enjoy her company while I can. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all.

Good morning, from foggy Illinois.I felt a little rumble awhile ago and wonder if we had another small earthquake, there was one a month or so ago. We are located along the New Madrid fault and it is a really large one.
While I was reading the morning paper, Toby ate the little star points off of his prize toy from obedience class. It was a really soft fabric so hoping this too shall pass...he tears some toys up for the squeaker and pulls the stuffing out but I have never noticed missing pieces of fabric before. Pretty soon all his toys will be Nyla Bones!
This is the first outdoor Farmers Market of the season, they are going to have a chilly start, it is 50 degrees right now. It is hard to believe March is almost over, this month went by in a hurry.
I got our taxes back from the accountant yesterday and we owe more !!! I was really shocked as I paid all the quarterly estimates. I had him go over the figures with me and it seemed ok but I'm going to double check all the entries this afternoon.
Busy day ahead and the dogs are saying I'm late with their breakfast.
Red I feel so bad for your sadness, I will keep you in my thoughts today (((((((((HUGS)))))))))

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

What a picture-perfect Saturday it is here this morning----how I love this "campground" and this weather! I just spent my breakfast with my daughter, Mandy, and my grandson, Orion, back home in the north country where snow is still covering the ground----via Skype! It's next best to actually being there. I just wish her own internet connection back at her house (they're at my place for the weekend and his other grandma's Easter egg hunt) was fast enough to allow us to use Skype regularly. But any is better than none.

I will mow my son's big back field today, as he mowed this entire front field in the two hours after he got back from work yesterday. It is looking beautiful here!

Red, I know just how you feel about your 'baby'-----somehow it's just so hard for a mother to be finally without any babies under her roof or near her, and to have that empty nest feeling. I, too, cried my heart out for days when my son left years ago with his U-Haul towing his car for whatever down here in FL. At least you still have a companion to travel with and continue your life with. Hugs to you today.

Happy Saturday to all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning everyone!

Wow, so much has been going on with everyone here. Carol, I'm so glad you got a good report from your doctor; Soos, I'm glad whatever happened is over and that a pill will control that; Sue, it sounds like you're getting the itch to get back on the road again; Liz, you're getting so much work done on your Roadtrek and it sounds great; Red, enjoy the time with your daughter; BJ, did you ever hear if you did have an earthquake? Lori, at least you're getting the warranty work done on your 5th wheel and will soon be heading in a northerly direction; Kathleen, I think of you often and hope you'll be able to head south next winter.

Steve & I left Dillon SC yesterday and are now staying in Wilson NC. The plan is to stay here for two weeks before heading back to MD. We received an email from my SIL that my Mom had her six month checkup yesterday for a mass on her lung yesterday. It has grown and her doctor in Annapolis wants her to have another PET scan to see what's going on. So depending on what's going on with her, we may have to cut this portion of our trip short to go home.

We stopped at a Food Lion yesterday to restock the refigerator and freezer and I'll be making meatloaf and mashed potatoes for this evenings dinner and I'll bake a ham for tomorrows Easter dinner. I can see a pot of ham & split pea soup in the near future. Have a good day everyone!

good morning ladies
had a fabulous day off yesterday and was able to get over to hike around the Saguaro Desert Museum with Beth and
Karen before they left town. My body feels it today though, so will rest up while I do my laundry.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning,

Cloudy morning - wish I had waited to wash the truck and camper until today!! Got that done in the heat, retrieved everything from storage that goes to two DD, loaded it all in the back seat and then realized I can't get my bike out now that I might have time to ride it!!

Took about a 2 hour ride to search for critters yesterday - sure not seeing much.

Went out to dinner at the nearby cafe.

Need to do laundry, clean the camper and prepare to hit the road tomorrow - too much got left until the last minute! So looking forward to leaving here!

Red, I know this is a tough time so glad you are getting this time with your DD. Hugs!

Have a good day all.

Good morning everyone,

Overcast & a few drips this morning - loving the temps in the 50's though! :D

Took Sadie for her first ride in the big van yesterday. I think she was afraid I was taking her back to the shelter :( until we got out at my sister's house & she got to play with her golden retriever for a while & got lots of treats. She doesn't seem to mind the ride, just lays on the floor - she must have been taught to NOT get on furniture so she doesn't even attempt to get on the seats, although i'd love for her to ride in the passenger seat & tell me stories like Tina's pups do... 8-)

Red, your post brought tears to my eyes - I feel your pain & know that connection well to the baby (no matter how old they are). My DD & I have been together & on our own so long that I know sending her off to CA after graduation will be tough. At least I can get there relatively easily if I need/want to - overseas would be so much tougher. I'll be thinking of you... ;)

Going to have DD, her BF, GD & her BF over for Easter dinner tomorrow... DD & BF are vegetarians (they'll eat seafood though) & GD is allergic to shrimp so we'll basically have 2 main dishes - shrimp & ham with all the common sides with choc covered strawberries for dessert - :D

Hope everyone stays safe & enjoys this beautiful weekend!
