Is it Spring yet? Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Is it Spring yet? Thursday

We made it from Little Rock, AR to Nacogdoches, TX last night. Parked next to a little lake.

Should make it home this afternoon. I actually drove a little over 100 miles yesterday!! DH kept telling me how stressful and how hard it was. Then I finally said it is my turn. It is country highway with little traffic and tomorrow (today) we'll be in Houston traffic. It was like the proverbial saying, "it's like riding a bicycle". I used to drive a class A Winnebago Chieftain back in 1972 from Orange Co up over the old grape vine route to Bakersfield, CA regularly with only the dogs and a baby. XDH would meet me up there. I also drove it all the way up CA HI 1 from L.A. to Monterey, CA along the Big Sur coast. Driving RED is so much easier. DH at first was nervous, them fell asleep. He said I should drive all the time. But I don't want to drive all the time, thank you very much. This is one job we will share. And he does not want to learn how to use the navigation system or the app to find CGs. So we have to find a middle ground.

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning Red and everyone else... NO it is not spring we still have some snow on the ground!!!
Grocery shopping is on the agenda for today... My daughter Margie has a coupon for 20% she is giving me... that will be a huge help...
You have had a good run in your new MH... so glad for you...
Shadow and I had a huge fight last evening... he bit me... bad dog... so after he went out
I put him in his kennel for the night... he is a big subdued this morning... the story:
he wanted to go out so I put him out then he started barking something awful... I went to the
door to let him back in and the neighbor lady was trying to talk to me... Shadow would not
shut up... I put him inside... my neighbor said there was some creature a raccoon I believe
on her porch and the man on the other side was getting it out... her porch is completely
inclosed... they do not know how it got in... when I got back in Shadow started growling
at me I told him no no no you do not growl at me so he went farther and bit my hand...
He knew he was in trouble! such is the life of an animal owner...
Have a great day and smile often

Good Morning Everyone, the sun is out and it is a much warmer day. I think spring is ready now to continue, I think a lot of the trees that were just ready to bloom when the cold spell hit may not bloom as the buds look brown. :(
The full moon must have brought the critters out last night, Toby came in with a mouth full of what looked like rabbit hair. I went out this morning and found a rabbit almost as big as he is dead in the yard. I don't know if he caught it or scared it to death.
Glad you finally got to drive Red and that your husband realized you knew what your were doing.

Kathleen, I can tell you how the raccoon probably got on the porch, it opened the door. I went to the barn one night to feed and there were 4 raccoons sitting in the feed container. We were using one of the large rubbermaid trash cans with the flaps to keep feed in. The raccoons just opened the flaps and crawled in and out. It's amazing how much our feed bill went down since we wired the flaps closed. Sorry you had a fuss with your dog. He could probably smell the raccoon and wanted to get it.

It is warming up here today. We will be back to our usually pattern. It will warm up and rain. There might be rain on Easter so the Easter bunny might get wet. The other day I met a big white rabbit in Walmart. What do you say to a rabbit in Walmart?

Good Morning,

Exciting news - my niece gave birth to a little boy last night!! Rachel is such a little thing but Westin weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and 20 1/2 inches long!!

I may have lost my mind but I feel like a weight has been lifted. Sharon had mentioned that if I flew to Hawaii from California, I could park my truck at her house. May not do that, but I bought a ticket from Ontario, CA to Seattle and back. Will still have my Hawaii flight from Seattle but I won't have to drive up there in a hurry, find a place to park since I can't park at my daughter's, etc. etc. Will treat myself to about a 10 day 'vacation' at one of my favorite 1000 Trails parks - maybe I'll even get a quilt finished!

So now, many minutes later, L has been over to visit and then my brother called with the latest on the fight he and my sister are having! Argh!

Going to storage to get car wash stuff and truck and camper get a bath!

Have a good day all and safe travels!

Anita, depending on when you're flying out of Ontario, I'm a whole lot closer and would be happy to open my home to you. (Sharon, you KNOW I love you!) If I'm not in school I'd be happy to take you to the airport, too. I just don't have anywhere for you to store your truck. :(
