Wednesday With Good News

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday With Good News

Postby Colliemom » Wed Mar 27, 2013 6:32 am

Good Morning everyong,

Another person here who was awake in the wee hours of the monring too. I'm kind of blaming it on the Prednisone I am taking right now. But it's only for a few days and that's all.

Boy, sure sounds like it's cold all over from what I read of yesterday's Coffee. But am kind of laughing too, cause some of you wee saying it's in the 30's down south where you are and we are lucky we are making 40 for a high right now. But the sun, when we see it, is warmer and there is melting going on, when it's out. Lately though it's been very scarce. We will have a long slow meltdown this year, the which of is good. Will allow it to soak into the ground. The lakes, rivrers and even the trees could use that.

Well, I have so good news to share with you this morning. You all know that I have been suffering from back pains and what not, have had many trips to Chiropractor and also have seen my NP a few times, who ordered an Ultrasound to check and see if my problem may have been in gallbladder, having to wait forever to get a tme and day to have that done, and a follow up trip back t NP who when she discovered I hadn't heard in over a week about that  , called and got my date pronto before I left the office. Well, i have the ultrasound done last week and got the results yesterday. I have no gallbladder issue and after us talking with her for a bit, she checked me over again and has concurred with my Chiropractor that the problem is in the muscles in my back. So she cancelled another test she was going to have me do and said to work with my Chiropractor and if i have any further problems, to jsut let her know. Plus she gave me a prescription of Prednisone to help take down the inflammation My Chiropractor has been sure that it has been in the muscles all along, but a pain in my right abdomen one night also suggested that I might have a gallbladder problem, but now that it's been checked out, we are off to the tissue massages. I had one done on Monday, am heading in a little while here to get a half hour deep tissue massage and will go back Friday for a soft tissue massage again. As it turned out yesterday, I stopped by the Chiropractor office to tell them what the prognosis was and while i was there, the gal who is giving my my soft tissue massages asked if I would like one yesterday sinceI was there. Hey, why not :D

So needless to say, I am a very happy person right now. No further tests needed, just keep up with the massage treatments and weekly Chiropractic check overs etc. And best of all, I don't have to watch my diet so closely and can eat what I want again. I am going to king of keep on the eating plan i was doing until I found out my results as it's helped my lose weight and I wold like to lose more. Since January I hav dropped 11 pounds, most in this past month or so. But I want to say thank you for all the well wishes from everybody, while all this has been going on. Very much appreciated and also very comforting knowing that some many people care, even if you have never met them.

So, that's my news for today. I need to get off here and take a quick bath and get ready to head to town. Everyone have a wonderful day, keep warm wherever you are. Will be talking to you later.

Good morning everyone. Sue, glad to hear things are ok with gallbladder. Hope the muscles in your back relax out soon. We are in Little Rock, AR parked right on the Arkansas river looking across at downtown and the Clinton Presidential library.

I wanted to kick a fellow camper where it would hurt the most. We pulled up, parked and I was out hooking up electric and water. The man with an Allegro Bus in the spot to the left just looked at me and said in a pejorative tone, " tell me your not another one of those women doing it on your own?" I just looked, holding back a verbal lashing forming in my head. Then DH opened the bedroom slide and I replied, " yes, and I've trained my dog to open the slides." He went on to explain that he just met a widow that was out doing it on her own and before he had a chance to give me his opinion I told him I had several friends that for various reasons were solo RVers and LOVED it. (No thanks to him). Then DH came hobbling out with his cane and you could see the look of embarrassment on his face as he then politely introduced himself. Enough of my diatribe.

We are headed the rest of the way home today. Everyone have a safe day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Should have kicked him. Bet his wife wishes she was a widow, too.

Well, at least something is happening. Heard from the motorcycle shop & bike needs more parts & more time, so we've given up on trying to get to TN for Easter. It's just not happening. We'll head back 100 mi to Bushnell & stay there until the bike is done and the weather is warmer in TN. Scheduled our doctor checkups for late April, so we will still be ready to go West in early May as long as they don't find anything that needs followup.
The sun is shining, wind is down and warmer weather is in the forecast. Hope y'all are warm & happy today. Time for another cup of coffee....

Sue, that is great news! I'm so glad to hear it. :D

Go at him, Red! Some people just shouldn't be allowed to speak in public.

Good roads today for everyone.

Good news indeed, Sue!

Red, you were much too kind! At least he looked embarrassed. The guy that asked me if 'the old man' was asleep in the 5er when I pulled into a park didn't bat an eyelash when I told him I was a widow.

Hustled myself back to Salome yesterday morning after two nights boondocking in Quartzsite - one with Carolb. Sheila and Kerry came to visit Monday and Carol took off about 6 p.m. I had a few things I planned to do, but suddenly felt woozy. Thought that was strange as I had had my afternoon snack so blood sugar shouldn't be off. Grabbed a little bite then fixed my big salad. Eventually, realized something wasn't quite right - turned out I had a slight fever. Yesterday was aches and headache but fever broke overnight. Spent yesterday sleeping.

Now time to get road ready so I can leave here Sunday to meet Sharon and KarenS on Monday.

Have a good day all and safe travels.

Great news Sue! I once had pains in my abdomen and they were sure it was my gallbladder and were talking surgery. But tests showed it wasn't that, and eventually the pains went away. Never did figure out what was causing them, but they sure got me doubled over in a hurry when they hit!

Some men are just threatened by women who can do things as well as (or better than) they can.

Nothing much new here. Still cold and snowy. Supposed to get near 50 tomorrow but I don't believe it. Back to low 30's for highs next week again. Yuck! I am looking out at trucks and SUVs on the lake right now (ice fishing). Gonna be a really late ice-out this year. Maybe another month yet. Last year ice-out was March 21st! That was unusually early tho. Average is around April 15th.

Gotta get ready for work now. Have a good day!

YAY for Sue! Hope you can now get better faster with no worries!

Red, that is a pretty site for a city, I must say! But your neighbor truly deserves to have his "equipment" kicked hard! Glad Anita is feeling better.

Dickering with Ford truck dealers all day----time for a break and perhaps a sip of something not seltzer tonight!

Happy travels!

Red that is so funny. I knew there was a reason I don't have a man ha ha Some are just plain silly.

I usually get the "little woman" asking how I handle my rig alone, and that I am sooooo brave. The men usually seem to just accept it. I ponder why I am so brave but their husbands arent?? I don't need male "equipment" to drive, park, or set up, so what is the big deal.

I admit I am not mechanical but heck most men arent either. I have a checkbook....that is my security LOL And it is a whole lot cheaper to hire the work done than to have one of my own around all the time. OKAY OKAY off my soapbox now. Your story just reminded me of all the times I have had to hear the BRAVE comment.
