Tuesday morning...It's Cold and I'm up too Early...

Well, I knew it was too good to last...my sleeping until 7am....hah!! Up here at 4am in a chilly 5er....the propane tank emptied out sometime in the early hours and so am up to get it toasty in here....It's 39F outside.... So turned on the heat pump and hiked up the space heater....It's dark outside, so will let Ernie do the tank when he gets up....

Boy, it sure did fill up here at Hardeeville/Thomas RV Park, Hardeeville, SC yesterday.....Poor Irmi & Steve got 3 new neighbors to surround them yesterday....Hopefully, they all are all "over-nighters" cause they sure have them hemmed in over there across the way....and they plan to leave tomorrow.....Ernie thinks it's the "Snowbirds" heading North and are taking it slow because of the weather up I-95....

We took a trip to the Savannah Mall yesterday cause Ernie wanted to see the new 2 teared "Merry-Go-Round"....very nice....then we stopped for lunch at a local Mexican Cafe.....

Well, guess I'd better stop cause Spinner's giving me that "you've had enough coffee for now....time to go out" look....So have a great day, all

Up too early- must be a trend, 'cause that was me yesterday. Probably had something to do with the windy storm & my DH on the roof at 3 am taking down his 35' HAM antenna- crazy man! We're still stuck in FL waiting for motorcycle repairs & weather. If you have to be stuck, this is not the worst place.... nice folks & glorious sunsets on the gulf.

Lori, I don't blame the snowbirds for dragging heir feet. I bet Irmi and Steve aren't too anxious to head north in this weather too. I'm trying to be conservative with my propane, but the little space heater isn't quite enough when it's this cold. I'll need to find propane when I leave here.

Going to be doing some inside cleaning and reorganizing today. Thistle has an appointment for bath and grooming, so will have to go out for that. I decided to splurge...first time I've had someone else do that.

Good morning Liz and Lori and those who follow, I slept well last night after a couple of sleepless nights. Why was it so easy to sleep when we were younger Guess it is cold everywhere I'm sitting here in a sweater and still feel chilled, maybe that means I should get up and move around or get my blanket and Toby and watch another I Love Lucy rerun. I bet when it does warm up spring will be over and I'll be saying it's too hot!!! I did go to yoga yesterday with good intentions but there was a sub-instructor so my friend and I left and went for bagels and coffee.
I have another company coming today to do an estimate for the repairs we need in our leaking basement. It's not going to be cheap but the first estimate wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.

Good morning everyone. Have met several snowbirds here at this park in St. Charles. One couple on their way home to Canada, another on their way to SD for a work camp job. Both started from Florida and wished they had waited at least another week. The natural thaw will take till Sat. So glad we had the service clean the snow from our slides and roof so we can leave today and head south. The only time I have seen snow like this before was in a ski slope. My psyche kept telling me to get the skis out. I do wish I had a pair of snow shoes though. Anyway looking forward to warmer weather soon.

One of the routes home goes through Memphis. Is it worth stopping?? what to see other than Graceland?? looking at my Intellicast app to see which route is best weather wise. Everyone have a great day and stay safe, aloha y'all

Good Morning from a person looking out at a winter wonderland !!!!! And not all that happy about it, it is pretty, but next winter hopefully I can delay my return later then March. Schools are closed, to many back roads iced and buses can't do the routes. Before you northern people come out with your jokes come drive these roads, in good weather some are scary.

I have no plans to go anywhere today, came here for tests at hospital and Dr app. Called to cancel app yesterday and was told that test can be done day before, so hoping winds and snow is done by tomorrow. Got out yesterday to get prescriptions filled and that wind was terrible, only 10 mile round trip decided then was not doing a 50 mile round trip going over 2 mts. If I have to cancel this app I won't get another unti May, so I hope I can get it over with. It's an important one.

It was a good thing I did come home when I did, always a positive in any negative situation, because I had 2 unexpected bills with late charges piling up. One was propane delivered that I didn't ask for, I'm definitely on the " call for delivery" list now, I always have been until someone got overly ambitious and put me on regular route. Late charges dropped too. Still have bill to pay and my tank is overly full which I have fussed to them before about. I have run fireplace constantly since I've been home, hoping to get tank down to safe area before it does turn warm. Wish I could send you some Liz. Next unexpected bill was county or maybe it's state is changing their personal tax collection on vehicles , now the late charges on that bill was outrages, so I'm so glad to be stopping that total. I just paid this before I left, so called and all was explained and when change is done it will work out better for me, as it will be due and paid before I leave, until that Is I get my life really situated and find where my head is So that goes out in mail today.

Enough of my woes here, the positive and negative evens out and everything always works out, just sometimes not how we wish but in the long run for the best, which I have found to be soooo true in my life.

I know others have winter problems too, one of our biggest being it's supposed to be Spring, so Whats This????????????

GOOD MORNING ALL!

As I sit here with a light fleece jacket and long pajamas on, being quite comfortable inside even though the early morning news said it was in the 40s in Orlando this morning, I feel very comfy and happy to know that this is still one of the warmest places on this coast right now. So far, I have needed no heat in this house, although I feel sure that if I were back in my trailer, I would have needed heat last night and tonight, too, as it's supposed to be even colder for one more night. Carol, what a mess about your propane----just when you think you have things all straightened out, BOOM! You get hit with outrageousness! Glad they dropped the late charges for you, however. After all, it WAS their error!

I really need to get online and find some more Ford dealers close to this house to see if I can get a truck sooner than two months, as I hope to be on the road home before the end of May. Am sort of shooting for the middle of May, which I think is when I left last year. If I find no deals I like, I will just stick with what I have, I suppose.....my truck is like new at this point, needing tires not far down the line, but nothing else that I know of.

It's cold here too. Last night the weather people said there was a chance for a record low of 32 in Lafayette. Not much of a record for the rest of the country. It's suppose to be back in the upper 70's by this weekend but with rain for Easter. I opened the door to see if the indoor/outdoor cats wanted out and they just looked at me. They decided to take another nap.

Red, be careful on the road. Some places are better prepared for the snow. We can't handle 3 inches. It amazed me in New Jersey, they would get a foot of snow and people were going to work. I just wanted to get the heck out of there.

Good Morning... I do so enjoy reading everyones posts... sorry for the early morning Lori... glad you have a space heater... our foot+ of snow is melting with temps today in mid 30s
Margie and John came and shoveled me out... then Margie did not want me to drive in the mess so she took me to the dr appointment... spine and hip injections set for next tue 2nd at 8:30... he said do not wait so long next time also load up on vicodin until the injections are done... I will also be getting Physical Therapy...

We're just chugging away here in SoCal, waiting for the rest of the crew to get here. Donna's still here, Kerry and Karen due in tomorrow. Got a text from Karen a while ago, she had a problem with her easy brake this morning and is hoping to get it looked at in Q. I told her no worries, she had friends in Q!

Have a lunch date with my daughter today, really looking forward to it. She's so busy with job and family I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like. Donna and I may take a trip out to Indio today to check out a county park, Lake Cahuilla, to see if it would work for the week in the bus with the grands. It looks promising.
