Thursday, weekend is closer!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, weekend is closer!

Goooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

Just a quickie this morning I've been lolly-gagging around and time has gotten away from me. I need to get my butt dressed and ready to go. Kelly is in the shower and will be out soon.

Temps are better here than yesterday, it's a whole 30f out on the back porch. Rather breezy but at least I didn't get frosted this morn. :D

We have lost a few people out of our training class. I guess a few didn't even want to try doing the mortgage thing. From what I can figure out they tried to get back into collections but were told no, so they quit. ??? Excuse me? It's not like jobs were so plentiful out there that they can walk right into another one. Shoot if nothing else at least give it a try, ya never know ya just might like it and be a perfect fit.

Got the coffee ready and waiting. Gots the goodies laid out on the table, ya'll need to get some of this ate up so that new can be gotten. Oh we have muffins, English muffins, bagels & cream cheese, a few cookies are still hanging around and of course Biscotte. Might see if I can get the fixins around for sausage, egg and cheese biscuits tomorrow. And baggie omelets too.

Opps my mistake, it wasn't Kelly in the shower. It was Jenny and Kelly is fit to be tied!!! I think we will get a slightly later start out the door this morning!!!!

Hope everyone has a super day, please remember to keep warm and to be safe!!!

Love to all

Good Morning, Echo and All!

It got down to -22F. an hour ago, but is now back up to -20! I am running late here on purpose, as I want it to be light out there before I try to warm up my truck and head out. With my dizziness (sort of Menierre's Disease, I believe) I don't want to falll down and not be able to get up when it's this cold! Also, I want to be sure the house is warm enough to leave without risking frozen water pipes. I will be an hour, or so, late to school, but oh well. My co-worker can hold down the fort until I get there.

It's not expected to get any warmer than about 5 below zero today, if that! If it's sunny, however, this living room with its southern facing windows and glass sliding doors will allow great solar heating which will help keep this place warm. Molly hates it when her little foot pads get so cold she tries to keep all four off the ground at the same time!

Hope you all have a fun day, and that you all can stay warm wherever you are!

Good-morning !! Had internet problems, so am farther behind then I thought I was :D Its cold here and supposed to get colder tomorrow, but not anything like what you have Soos.
I love the scenery of your place up there, but I couldn't live in it, at my age wouldn't even want to try. You are some kind of woman, I admire you very much. If I had grown up dealing with snow like that, might be a different story, but my Dad moved us, when I was 8, from Michigan and snow. I grew up in the south, and my memory of snow, was lost until I was wayyyyy old   The amount I have here is enough to enjoy, then too, I don't have to get out in it to go to work. Maggie and I, just go out and play in it

Better get moving around here, another dr. appt. this morning. When you get old, the yearly visits get more involved it seems. I feel great, but keeps me wondering is there something wrong, he wants all these test? Once I am through all of the aggravation of all the visit and tests, I feel better, knowing as best a person can that I may live a little longer   Many Many travels to do yet!!!!

Have a great day everyone :) Echo and Kelly, such great news for you all. I had to look it up first thing this morning, I am NEVER on this computer this early :D

Stay safe, and Warm

Good morning! It is colder here too. 39f but that's cold enough for me. I'll be loading up today. I have to leave tomorrow & head back home. I don't want to. Home is not a bad place, but I would love to go on down to FL til spring. Well, that ain't happening right now, but hopefully soon. :D

Hope you all have a great day, and stay warm! :D

It's 16 here, didn't get into the single #s after all last night! We've had snow off and on since early AM yesterday. However it's been so light we barely have... maybe if you fluff it up good -- 2 inches.

The wild turkeys are all huddled up in the barnyard waiting for grain but I forgot to go over to the shed and get a few buckets of it so I don't have anything handy to feed them. I'll get some when I go feed cattle.

5 white tail deer are grazing in the little meadow north of the house where the sawmill shed sits. Usually by 1st light they are gone up into the hills but with today's darker skies with snow falling they are late leaving.

The weather channel shows we'll have more snow maybe part of today as the edge of the jet stream is right over us bringing in snow bands. I'm not complaining too much about the weather here. The folks north and northeast of us are much worse off. At least we don't have high winds or we'd really be in trouble.

We had the coach's slide big slide out since Tuesday, a rare deal in winter. The temp dropped to 16 about 10 AM yesterday and by just after lunch -- the kitchen's hot water pipe was frozen. So we pulled the slide back in and in about 3 hours we had water again. It seems odd and I know there's some law of physics that tells why but the hot water line on the kitchen slide is the one that freezes. The cold will freeze but not until we hit zero or below.

We were going to the county seat today to get our MH registration tag fixed. I found out for the last 2 years we've been listed as a 2005 and we are actually a 2002 so maybe it will make a difference on our taxes! Our title is right and the insurance shows the right year. We just thought it should all match. But, since it's not urgent I think we'll delay that trip (20 some miles away). We try to be smart and only head out to get on the highway when really necessary. Our dirt road is usually easier to navigate but the highway (4 miles away) can get slight even if the snow plows have been out.

That's all the news for now.

I am glad we are missing the lovely weather in the mid and north east. Saw it was wind chill of -14 in our home town today. No thanks. Neighbor said they saw a bobcat in our back yard - noseing around our pond. Pulled in here at Huatabampito yesterday afternoon. Really cools down here at night right on the beach, turned the fireplace on for a while. Since the fog lifted it has been warming up a lot. Should get in high 80s. Only about 10 RVs here - most from Canada. The park got ruined last fall by a hurricane. tore out the electrical connections and filled with water. They are working hard and fast to get it up and running again. We are on the sand just behind a 3 foot sea wall. Have 30amps and the park provides wi-fi - some what off and on. Hopefully today we'll be able to get the Direct TV up and running. Our Verizon phone works - just have to pay the 99 cent per minute roam charge. There is a pretty good sized town about 7 miles up the road that has whatever we need.
I'll send you pictures of the sun.

Greetings from the tropic zone! Only -2° here this a.m. and I'm only about 35 miles (as the crow flies) from Soosie. However she's at a higher elevation.

Beautiful bright sunny day here,... all is well in my world. Hope the same is true for all of you. Have a great day! And it was nearly 10° above zero a little while ago when i got home from work.

OK, it's way past morning here - but just wanted to say hi to everyone. Spent another touristy day - so will have to upload pics to Photobucket later and see about posting (unless Sparkle beats me - which would be just fine).

Shell....look up the term, 'Mpemba effect' I vaguely recall something about hot water pipes freezing before cold water pipes, no matter if they are in the same exact location, or not....but can't recall the details at this point.

Already down to -10F, here, and night has just begun! Can't wait until I see how cold it gets tonight!!!
