Possible Snowy Sunday !!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Possible Snowy Sunday !!

Postby Carolinagal » Sun Mar 24, 2013 6:48 am

Good Morning !!! Arrived home safely after a nice drive through the mountains, so pretty, even though cloudy day . Well, going south for the winter didn't get me out of snow, supposed to start this afternoon and continue through the night. I'm not real happy to be here !!!  :!:

My neighbors are gone, so will have to wait to get water turned back on and see if I have broken pipes. Hate to admit it but I don't like crawling up under the house and the ole hand doesnt have the strength it used to, to turn those knobs. Another reason I need to not have the responsibilities of all of this. Used to do it all, but now, not sure if it's I can't do some of it or the fact I just don't want to !!!!! I have my home , water and all, so no hurry for help :D

Weather doesn't sound good in many areas, hope you all will take care and be safe. A friend I didn't get to see in Fl will be driving up here tomorrow, she has a nice place nearby up here, her primary home is Fl though. So I'm looking forward to seeing her, hoping weather will be better for driving , doesn't look good.

Hope you all have a good Sunday, enjoy your day whatever or wherever you are,
CArol :)

Choice of items for breakfast, all on the menu, get your order in :D

Carol, I sure hope the snow stays farther north. The cold rain here in GA is bad enough. I have a nice site on the lake, but temps are not expected to be out of the 50s all week. Brrrr!

I am staying near my dd's, where she showed me her blooming azaleas, so I guess it'll warm back up soon. Will stay put here until after Easter, but I don't expect to get the kayak out.

My RV needs a good cleaning inside and reorganizing of cabinets and compartments, so this will be a good week to do it, during the times my dd is at work. My SIL is going to do some minor repair/ maintenance work for me too.

Hope you all have a good day, storm free.

Good Morning CArol and all who follow,

Glad you made it home before the snow comes, CArol. Well, at least you won't forget what it looks like anyway, And even if you have some, it will be short lived, not like here, where we have had it since December, had a couple of big thaws and then winter really set in. February was the snowiest month on record here and March has been very wintery too. After a week of snow and clouds, we are finally seeing some sun. Have around 2 feet of snow here right now, so will be awhile before we see the ground. At least this most recent storm will miss us.

I've been absent from Coffee for most of this week, so have had to do a little reading to catch up. Seems like everybody's doing okay, just waiitng for spring. Need to extend a Welcome to the latest batch of newbies. Have yet to read through Introductions.

I had my Ultrasound done this past Wednesday and am awaiting the results. Should know in a couple of more days hopefully. The wheels move very slowly up here it seems. Friend has hers done the day before mine and is still waiting on hers as well. I have an appt. set up with my NP for Tuesday, so hopefully the results will be in by then. Otherwise it has been a busy week per say. Been to the Chiropractor evey day for minor things and also some very nice massages on my back. They have felt so good. Soon as we find out the results of my Ultrasound, I will get a deep tissue massage done again. Have also been running errands and just seem to be keeping busy.

Ms Tessa had her two week checkup this week as well and other than her Phosporous levels being elevated a bit, she is doing okay. BUN and CREA levels are a little high, but about where they have been. So with an increase in her meds to control the phosporous levels, and a check over, she was happily sent on her way, with instructions to keep up the antibiotics and see her in 3 weeks this time.

This Colliemom is happy to report that I am investigating the RV scene again. Kind of thinking of getting a small rig to do some short term camping adventures this year again. My Flex can tow up to 4500 pounds, so not sure if I want to go into a pop up, a hybrid or small TT. Looking to see whats out there, picking up brochures, studying the interneet etc. When I get to the bottom of my health issues and the weather warms up, snow melts etc., I will start prowling the dealers lots and watching the used want ads as well. Am also keeping an eye out for a used van that i can make a project out of.

Time to move along here. Just stopping by to say hi and wishing you all a great day.

Good morning everyone!

We've got lots of snow here in KC - thankfully it was slightly above freezing when it started yesterday afternoon or we'd have several more inches than the 5 or so we have now. It's supposed to continue heavy all morning & lighter the rest of the day. Glad it's Sunday & I made it to mass last night. :) Basketball fans may have some challenges getting to the March madness games today though. :(

CArol, hope you don't get too much of this stuff... it sure is pretty, but it would be a mess if it hit on a workday.

Liz, I love your blogs... thanks for including the rest of us in the beauty everywhere you go.

Sue, glad the massages helped your back... hope you get your results back soon & glad to hear Ms Tessa is holding her own.

Ava, enjoy the warm weather & your GTG & congrats on passing your recertification... :)

Dogs wanted to go out about 4 times last night - Sadie is showing how much of a puppy she is - delighted to get outside anytime day or night. I need to get some of her doggie cousins to come over to play with her. She's not sure how to play with toys but I'm sure she'll figure it out with time. Daughter's cats tried to help teach her with their strings & toys - so cute watchiing them interact. :o :D :D

Worked on taxes last night. Going to get house back in order today after kids have all left - and of course, get some exercise shoveling.

Hope you all stay safe & warm....

Good Morning,

A cool 61 F, cloudy Sunday morning in the Butte. It rain (lightly) yesterday afternoon and last night. It is suppose to clear up, but not sure if the sun will be shining.

I will be taking granddaughter, KaitLyn (9 yrs old) to a Easter Egg Hunt and Party this afternoon. It it will be 4 1/2 hrs of fun for all the kids. She is looking forward to the hunt and party. A friend of mine has been throwing this annual party for over 13 years. She started this for her godchild, then granddaughter and now grandson. She has the "Animal Lady" come out with her variety of animal to hold and pet, games to play, crafts to make and plenty of food for the kids. There is also someone that is dressed in a bunny suit that the kids sit on his/her lap for pictures. And the main event, the Egg Hunt. :D

Have a great day!

Good morning, It is another cold cloudy day here. I'm actually wishing for just a little snow so my friend can hitch her pony up and try out her new sleigh. She picked it up in MI last week and is so wanting some snow.
I'm sorry you came home to snow CArol I understand about just not wanting to do some chores. Carolyn the Easter Egg Party sound like it will be a fun day and 61 sounds good to me about now! Liz and everyone else in the chill of the south hope it warms up for you to enjoy your visits. Catherine I hope the weather warms up sounds like you don't need more snow. Sue, can't imagine living with the amount of snow you have to deal with brrrr. Hope you and Tessa start to feel better soon. Ava have a fun GTG today!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Good grief, Red!! Snow you are getting! And so is Carol in NC, apparently.....what is going on in this country this spring? I am so far very happy to be right where I am here in my wonderful trailer home right in my son's yard in St. Cloud, FL. Carol, sure hope your snow melts fast and that you can get some help moving back into your rooted home.

Sue, I am sorry to have been out of touch lately, too, but was so hoping you MIGHT have your ultrasound results by now. That has to be so frustrating! I am happy to hear that so far, Tessa is still holding her own, however. Vets are much more on the ball up there than MDs, apparently! I will try to be on here at 7:00 tonight.

Sunday has dawned windy, warm (81 degrees in shade) and overcast, with possibility of rain showers this afternoon. We have just been sort of hanging around waiting for that much-needed rain for all of Central FL.

I need to look around more for other truck deals, and then make up my mind about either selling or keeping my vehicle. I pretty much have decided that I can't manage selling both trailer and truck to trade for a Class B. I simply do not have any kind of money to be able to manage this. But I could definitely trade my truck.....trade--not sell outright and then buy new. I cannot be without transportation, so, regardless if I could do better by selling outright and then buying new, I am forced into trading if I can get a good deal, which I have already found. The hangup now is the long wait (2 months) for the new one to arrive as I am designing it from bumper to bumper, and whether I pay NY taxes or FL taxes on the sale. Confused about FL registration, FL car insurance, and whatall, and needing a NY inspection 30 days after I take possession of new truck. Lots to think about right now.

For now, I am concentrating in healing up my back so I can take a bath and wash my hair! Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's up with you-all!

I really wish that when I scroll back over the messages that the real names of the avatars were included in them-----I can never remember who is who without seeing the entire info. Sigh! And that use of KC that somebody had today? Is there a state with that abbreviation? If so, I will danged if I can think of it! Sorry to be such an idiot when it comes to abbreviations----I simply cannot seem to get any of them through my thick brain. Happy Palm Sunday to all!

Sorry, Soos... That's KC as in Kansas City... heart of the midwest - lots of snow today... didn't think I could interest anyone with our current weather.
Cleared my driveway, then trucks came thru clearing the streets, then I cleared the entrance to my driveway again... Grateful for the trucks though, it's a small price to pay for having passable roads. :D

Red, did you drive to the midwest or is that in TX? :?

Morning.

A cool 21* here today and we will gladly take snow if you'll just send it our way because we need the moisture so badly. Nothing new. I'm in the process of trying to get used to the new laptop the flat keyboard is an adjustment for me and Windows 8 is a PITA! I'm still catching up on here from being computerless for 2 weeks. I did take some sneak peeks at work but we've been busy so haven't had a lot of reading time.

Have a great week. Isn't it funny that we always think of Monday as the first day of the week rather than Sunday? But then after being either a student or teacher for 36 years when some says the beginning of the year I think August/September and the end of the year is May...the middle of the year is December/January and everything else is summer. I haven't taught for over 14 years...you'd think I would be getting over that.

Good afternoon ladies, Per my cell phone its a sunny 42degrees here in Reading Pa. I'm a seasonal camper and the campground had our spring welcome back dinner last evening. It was really packed so I know there are many other people anxious to get back to camping. Unfortunately its still too cold for them to turn on the water. My camper is parked temporarily in another site until the weather permits leveling of my site to repair last year's storm damage. It was quite cold there last night. We are expecting 3-6" of snow tomorrow. Its seems like we've had snowy Mondays several weeks in a row. I'm envious of those living/camping in warmer climates. Spring seems to be in hiding! Hope everyone has a great day today.

Hi everyone!

It's so great hearing from so many this morning! CArol is back home in NC, Tina is at her homestead in Ohio, I believe Sarah is also home, some are looking at new RV's and others are traveling in what they have.

It's been a very wet day in southern South Carolina, but right now we're having a lull in the rain. Our stay here is coming to an end in a few days but we're in no hurry to make it to MD, which my parents understand. Between all the food that Lori & Ernie have fixed in their kitchen and us in ours, we're taking a break from cooking and the guys are going to a sub shop. Sounds like a plan to me.

As an edit, SandyB53, I hope you check out the GTG at Ferryboat in PA this summer. It would be an easy trip for you!

Soos, guess I missed something, what happened to your truck thought it was fairly new? Hope your back heals soon!!
It has rained, sleeted and now is snowing since I posted earlier this morning. The temp is 37 so not much is sticking. It is just really a dismal day out.
Red, sorry for your first outing to have snow, it is really a strange spring. Hope everyone is keeping warm.
