Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Friday...and still chilly...

Good morning, all....I'm about ready to have a long serious talk with that darn groundhog....what's up with this weather?!!! Normal temps are usually in the low 70s here this time of year and we're getting high 50s-low 60s with wind....Yuck!!! Oh, well, hope it changes soon...

Irmi & Steve and we both have camping friends in the area, so we've planned a lunch-time GTG with them all...seems both couples live almost in the same town...so it should be a nice day for talk, food, and a bunch of good friends having a great time.... ;) Ernie's got a campfire planned so we can all keep warm... :D

I'm trying to catch up with all of you.....so will make this short so I can go read...

Coffee is ready and some oatmeal, too...help yourselves... :)

Have a great day, all....

Good morning Lori and all. It sure sounds like you and Irmi are going to have a really fun day.

It's really cold here in OK. My CG and site are right on the water so the winds are really cold. It is plenty windy today too. Lori, nobody told this part of OK it was Spring too. It is usually a whole lot warmer this time of year.

I am about to jump up and get ready for the day. My day starts before the sun comes up and doesn't end until the sun goes down. I don't get on the computer very much now because of my work hours. I bet I get in shape and lose the extra pounds before summer gets here. I hope so.

Everyone have a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Morning Lori, I see you're up early too. I am back in Hohenwald for a visit. The grands go on spring break next week and I promised them some time. We are looking at a visit to Huntsville and the space/rocket museum later in the week. Should be fun. The 5 year old has to have some dental work done on Monday which I fortunately do not have to take care of. I will be undergoing my own dental surgery in Nashville. How lucky am I? In fact, part of the reason I'm here for a few weeks, besides seeing the grands, is the dental work which will take 3 visits. Also will renew my rv tags in person this year and try to get my taxes done while here. Nice that I can park for free and with the cold (and it is cold enough to snow but that missed us last night by about 75 miles) is is doubly nice that I can sleep in the guest room. Guess I'll find some fruit for that oatmeal now. Stay warm everybody.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Yesterday was a long, long day for me. The doc's office was crowded due an emergency they had earlier in the day, so I was an hour late getting in for my surgery. My body is so not affected by anesthetics that they had to give me tons of lidocaine to get me anywhere near numb. Then the doc was so late in getting to me that it had all died off by then! So all over again! OUCH----that stuff burns like being cauterized! During the surgery, which took much longer than I thought it would, they also had to administer more lido as I kept feeling the deeper cuts. After what seemed like eons of time, the doc said, "I think I got it all, and am sending it to the lab to make sure." Whew! Then the stitcher began her handiwork-----5 deep inside stitches, and one continuous football-like outside stitch. I kept flinching as I could feel her pokes with the needle, so she again gave me more anesthetic. I told her the stitching didn't hurt as much as the lido stuff! When I asked why they did such an extensive job, the doc said that this kind of "abnormal cells" are of the type to turn into melanoma down the line, so I was happy to have that offending mass off my back, both literally and figuratively.

The worst part of it all is that I now have to be extremely careful not to separate the wound as it heals. No bending, no lifting, no reaching, no sleeping on my back, no nothing! So much for my plans to haul and camp during the first couple of weeks in April. ACK! Outside stitching comes out April 5th.

Very cool here again last night, but due to warm up for the weekend. I am off to the Ford dealer this morning for regular oil-change, servicing, and bargaining for a new truck----just for an idea of what I could get.

Hope everyone is having some semblance of spring weather. The mulberry tree outside the trailer has very few berries this year, Weldon thinks due to the two heavy frosts they got while in bloom. Happy Friday to all!

Still chilly here in sunny Florida, but due to hit mid-70's later. No word from the Harley repair guy, but we're going to head that way later. We need to hit a weight watcher meeting and the grocery store anyway. Cedar Key is beautiful, but about 25 mi from the closest Winn Dixie. We're loving our time here, but it's a bit remote for long term. Next Tuesday we'll ease on up the road to find a site that takes our Senior Pass- maybe Ocean Pond near Lake City or a COE up near Eufaula, AL if the weather is improving.
Enjoy the day... Barb

It's still winter here too, 34 and cloudy right now, the forecast is for winter mix tomorrow or Sunday :( But I have to stop and think I'd rather have this than 80 and humid!!!

Soos, I thought you were looking at getting a small motor home. You do realize you would get several THOUSAND less for your truck at a dealer on a trade than if you would sell it yourself. At least tell them you are going to pay cash instead of trade and see what price you get. By the time they give you all their confusing talk you won't know what kind of a deal you are really getting.

Irmi, sounds like you all are having a fun GTG in spite of the weather. Joan, I don't envy you your dentist appointment thankfully mine is over!! The gold they took out was 18k and I was able to sell it for $233.00 :D :D Of course that will not make much of a dent in what I owe for my new bridge....ACK. We seem, to have been hit by several large problems involving fairly major expenditures this spring. Our basement is needs extensive work, where they have to dig trenches around the outside, do some landscaping and put in a drainage system...plus we need a lot of electric work from the attic down.

On the positive side though is, I've met a lovely Japanese woman who has a little boy, at the coffee place I hang out at. She has allergies similar to mine and was so happy to find someone to talk to who understood her condition. She came to visit and was so relieved to find my house was one she didn't have a reaction. I did a bit of Reiki for her and could just see her body relaxing, She and her DH just moved to a new house and the owner painted some of the rooms before he left so she is having a very hard time as he didn't use the no VOC paint. Her little boy is around 3 and fascinated by Toby.

Time to get the day started, the dogs get their Heartworm medication today so I best get their breakfast ready,

A week from today I will be setting up camp in my new "bagel"! Don't know why I'm so excited...not like I haven't been camping before. But I am. One of my bfs and her hubby will be in the site across from me. And my sis and her hubby are coming up for a campfire Saturday evening. My BFF and her gd won't be able to come, cause she is hosting Easter dinner for her family and her gd doesn't have a long enough spring break. My gd will only join me Monday and Tuesday. That will give her a few days with her mom and she isn't too excited about camping anymore anyway. Sigh.

Been tying to firm up summer plans and sent all my kids an email. Not a single response yet. Can't understand why they aren't as excited as I am? I guess they will get back to me eventually. Gd and I plan to fly out to Oakland ca and spend a week or so with son #2 at his new to him house. Then we will fly back home, load up the bagel and head to Houston so she can spend time with her dad (son #1). I plan on leaving her there and tootling around a bit, maybe a few gtg's? Then I'll swing back thru and pick her up and we will head back east via NC and a family reunion there. Then home and get ready for her to start high school! Egads!

Sure wish the weather would warm up here though. I wasn't planning on winter camping as my shakedown trip! But guess I might get to check out the furnace next weekend.

Well, I need to get my chores done...time to suck up some cat hair! And clean some litter boxes.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and great weekend.

It's warm here but overcast. There is rain North of here but looks like it is going East. Yesterday was sunny but cooler. I'm getting over my trip yesterday. My friend called early wanting to know what I was doing. She had 2 doctors appointments, one early and one late so wanted someone to kill time with. I'm always up for that. We shopped and ate lunch and shopped some more. I was walking around the Shoe Station with 2 pair of sandals trying to decide which one to buy. A lady gave me a 20% off coupon so I got both. ;) How nice was that! Then my friend brought me to another town to pickup our truck that was in the shop. I didn't get home until almost dark. I have a headache today, probably from eating Easter candy that I know I shouldn't eat.

I need to get to work on our taxes so I can go camping and not have to worry about them.
