Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Day and Monday....

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:14 am

Good morning, all....Yep, it's raining here this morning....so looks like we'll have a lazy day today....

Our corned beef and cabbage turned out great...The 4 of us ate until we couldn't move.... ;) And the trip to the Flea Market was fun....we're so enjoying Irmi & Steve's company and as soon as the sun comes back, we'll do more sight-seeing....

Being Monday, I have laundry to do, but will wait and see if the rain lets up before I get all that together....

Well, coffee is ready and some cereal on the counter for ya'....

Have a great day, all...

Barb in Bushnell, FL. Rainy here, but warm. We're nearly packed, so we'll have a lazy day, do a few errands & have lunch at our favorite Mexican place. Getting ready to head to Cedar Key tomorrow- about 100 mi. NW of here- for a week of sunshine and beautiful sunsets.

What!- it's going to rain all week!? Guess we're going to be singing in the rain..... This is our first visit to the area and it looks like there are cute shops & cafes to explore as well as swamp, river & coastal tours. Oh- let's not forget that the Sunset Isle RV Park has it's own little cafe & sells homemade fudge!!

Hopefully the rains will clear off before we have to continue north. Have a great day- :D

Morning all. Supposed to snow here today...winters last hurrah I guess. Hope it warms up by the 29th as I'm going camping for a long weekend. Shakedown trip for the new rv. Had a blah weekend here and feeling blah still today. Im going to blame it on the weather and try to shake it loose. Have some mid month bills to pay and some laundry to get done and dishes to clean too. Exciting? The old man cat has been sick again off and on. I'm pretty sure it is his liver and that we probably don't a whole lot of time left before I will have to help him to the rainbow bridge. Then I can put the young one on a diet, as he weighs 18#! He's a big cat, but it's just not a healthy weight for him. He's a character though...almost like he's part dog. Keeps me laughing with his antics.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and week.

We've had a blah weekend here too lots of rain and thunder making for a very nervous Andy dog. The other two ignore the weather but he wants to be held, think my DH had a long night! Hope the weather cooperates for your shake down trip Paulette.

When the electrician was here he found that part of our crawl space had water and mold, I am now calling a plumber to see if they can find the water source, someone who installs vapor barriers and someone who does mold. Has anyone had any experience with the dry ice method for mold? It's looking so far like the safest method.

I saw this on FB this morning and thought it was really funny and explains a lot.

Good Morning,

I'm very grateful for the beautiful weather here!! Truck upholstery and carpet was shampooed yesterday - luckily the wind died down in time for that. Got new sewer hose out and the various adapters I had laying around - figured out what I needed and the rest it the garbage. Hey, that's progress! Also filed my income tax.

Life in this park can be such a joy - not! We have had a winter resident that has pulled some pretty weird stuff and has wandered around drunk from time to time. While I was visiting with Carolb in Quartzsite, the lady went into the clubhouse during card time, caused some trouble and the cops were called. By the time they came she had gone back to her rig, but got a talking to. It's a long story, but L and the friends we usually play games with were involved. I just got the whole story yesterday.

This also became a KOA franchise under Encore. So we have KOA people and Encore people telling the manager what needs to be done. No biggie except one of them wanted the windbreak fabric removed from the pool fence. So now there is wind, flying dirt in the pool area - and reportedly rabbits found in the pool. Someone started a petition to have a windbreak put back and the manager is taking it a personal affront so he is po'd at everyone! Dang I love boondocking!! :)

Hope you all have a good day - some of you in spite of the dreary weather!

Good rainy Monday... think there is a song out there... rainy days and mondays?
I went to the Easter Program last evening... it was one of the best I have seen in a long long time... I had to leave when Mark was singing the last song...
I may have to call the pain doctor for more injections in my spine...
Oh Lori sounds like you are having a fun time... RV people are the best!
I hope the water problem is solved... mold is very bad...
Oh poor kitty sorry when they are so sick... sometimes we hold on too long...
Barb sounds like a good thing to have rain in Fl it has been so dry..
I ordered a keurig from e-bay... it is a mini pluss... it came Sat and I love it... it is brand new but without the owners manual... if I need one I can go on line...
I also ordered my dress for the June wedding...
I hope everyones troubles go away fast...
Kathleen

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Another partly sunny/partly cloudy warm FL day here in Orlando. Possible rain showers for the next two days, but chances are, we won't get the rain we desperately need to moisten our environment.

Sorry to hear about your pain returning, Kath----wish you didn't have to suffer with that stuff.

I had fried chicken, cuties tangerines, and an ice-cream-man strawberry sugar cone for my breakfast/lunch----YUM!

Temperature at my northern home was zero (0) degrees this morning, and a winter storm warning for another snow storm has been issued for up there. At this rate, my driveway won't be driveable for months to come!

Hope you all can find some nice weather and get outside to have some fresh-air fun wherever you might be.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

I have been to Lafayette and back already. I guess when I leave early I can get home before dark. ;) I had to throw 3 pair of sandals away and was trying to fine some I liked. The only pair I liked they didn't have my size. Stopped at Stage on my way back. They didn't have anything I liked either but they are crazy if they think I am going to pay $80 for a pair of sandals. Guess I'm going to have to look on line. They probably quit making the style I like.

Paulette, sorry to hear you old kitty is sick. We have one that is about 13 and we can see her fading. I switched from weight control cat food to regular because she has lost some weight. The others need the weight control. I can't give her canned food because she throws it up. Two of my cats are Maine Coons and one of them is 17 pounds. I find that they are dog like. They follow me around the house and aren't afraid of strangers. The rest evaporate if someone knocks on the door.

Anita, your campground sounds like a subdivision with a homeowners association. My son is living in a mobile home park and the owners have all kind of rules only they pick and choose who has to follow them. I complained one time about some kids that were climbing up on our patio roof and partying on the porch. They told me to call the police. My son was out of state at the time so no one was there most of the time. I wasn't about to call the police, they would have trashed the place. They finally evicted the family after they had about 4 people move out. I think the final straw was when the kids super glued a coke can to someones car hood.

Good afternoon
Rain, rain everywhere here too. In fact we have been under severe thunderstorm watches/warnings since before daylight. Think the worst of it has finally passed. High wind, hail and lots of water - few trees down, spotty power outages, etc but no serious damage that I've heard about yet. Hail was bad enough for a little while it actually caused I-65 to be closed down briefly. Thankfully most of the hail stayed just west of my house. Temps are falling rapidly as spring approaches; shame as it was beautiful and near 80 over the weekend. At least there is no snow.
Nicky is coming out of hiding so think storms are gone for the night tho the rain continues.
I've got a pot of veggie soup of sorts on the stove. Missing some stuff but didn't want it bad enough to venture out today.
Love yesterdays pictures of Sierra & Sadie.
Need to get back to work.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
