Saturday Sunrise

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday Sunrise

Sunrise over the Skydivers camp across the lake.

This morning it was a hot air balloon in the sky. Skydiving later, I guess.

I love the RV park with lake view sites. Full hook-ups for $12 a night.

I missed the pancake breakfast ay 6 a.m. in town, but Thistle and I will be there soon for the rest of the Wild Chicken Festivities. It's going to be a beautiful day in the mid 70s.

Hope your day is great too.

Good morning all!

Liz - Awesome price for such a nice looking area? Not sure where you are but after you leave, please let me know. We may want to check that out. We are sitting at the Wekiva KOA (again) for the weekend. Until Terri fully recovers from her mastectomy, we can't travel too far but are planning on a much longer trip at the end of April (good Lord willing!).

Safe travels to all who are on the road and hope all enjoy the day!!

Liz, what fun!! What a beautiful spot :P Back in my college days I joined the campus skydive club. Those fests were so much fun!! Ours were out at Lake Hemet and Lake Elsinore (near Sharon). The last jump of the day @ sunset was my favorite. It felt like you could see the curvature of the earth :P the crazy things we did in our youth!!

It is a beautiful day here in Houston. It is currently 60 and will hit 80 today. We are taking RED over to fuel up. Those store points sure help. I was shopping at Randall's, but their stations don't have diesel. So switched loyalty to Kroger. They are having a special 4 x pts on gift cards for Easter. Bought gift cards for the grand kids and now I have a $1 per gallon off. It sure saves a lot when filling up a big tank. :P

Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good Morning Ladies,

A little snowy here at the 45th this morning. Less than an inch. Been doing this both Wednesday and yesterday. Typical March weather. Melst away by mid day usually if the sun is out. I'm still looking for one more big storm before winter is over and done with.

Liz, beautiful picture. Sure looks like a great spot to be camping. What more could one ask for. That's the beauty of full timing, you get tired of your view, you can move to another one.

Red, you had way mre courage than I did, joining a skydiving group. No way would I want to do that. Congratulations on your upcoming Anniversary too.

See the folks our in AZ are having a heat wave. I'm out of the loop as far as the weather is concerned. Haven't been watching the Weather Channel lately. Hope it cools down for you all.

And looks like Irmi, Steve, Lori and Ernie are having a great tme visiting and chatting. And some nice weather to boot.

Well, the latest news from here is that I am now officially retired. Appplied for my SS this past Thursday and because they back dated my application to my original call dat in February, I should have my first check next week :D Now I have to figure out a new way of budgeting after having every two week checks all these years. And the realization of it all hasn't sunk in yet. No more having to head off to work this sprng for the first time in 16 years. Bosss said he wants to have a little retirement party for me after our rangers start back next month.

Some the joy of this has been tempered though by my current health issues. I hadn't heard about the ultrasound I am supposed to be getting, so yesterday made an apppt. with my NP, and when they found out I still hadn't heard, they got on the phone pronto. I had the time and date in my hand when I walked out the door :) Will be next Wednesday morning. Then hopefully we can get down to the bottom of all this. It's been a long month.

So. Not much on my agenda around here today. Slept in till *:30 this morning and can't wake up. May be some naps in my future today. Do want to do a few things in the house here. Bought some new bathroom rugs for my one bathroom yesterday, so would likek to clean the bathroom and then put them down. Also have a load of wash in the dryer to fold and put away.

You all have a wonderful day out there.

Good morning to all! I love the weekends. Gives me more time for dreaming!

Today we are off to the Rose Bowl. It's a RV show put on by a dealer but they have Winnebagos and that is what we are leaning toward at this point. We hope we can do some looking without being bothered by salesmen as much as when we were on their lot.

Have a great weekend!

good morning ladies
ahhh, Saturday.. doing laundry of course but since the uniforms and such are all done I'm doing rugs today.
Its been a great week off and I certainly got alot accomplished. I'm really liking the organization I did on
my shelves.
Funny story....Gracie kept whining and looking at me last evening, didn't know what she wanted, she'd been
fed, had fresh poddy pads, and her tummy was fine. She kept jumping in my lap and I'd love on her a while
and she'd jump down. Well, duh, found her blanket in the dryer this morning as it was the last thing of the
day I had washed. Her dog bed is under my desk and although they sleep with me at night she still likes
using her dog bed when I'm on the computer. Poor thing, no wonder she was whining and staring at me.
She'll be happy when she wakes up and checks out her bed this morning.
Its 63 right now and suppose to only be 86 today. That's comfortable for me. Maybe I'll go to Ross's and see
if I can find an outfit for the wedding. Will also check Kohls, I really like that store.
Done with coffee for the morning but I'll have a couple waffles and call it good. Ya'll have a great day and
be safe. Hope you have good weather where you are.

Skydiving! Liz, what a great thing to see -- and Red, what a great thing to have done! That just sounds like so much fun.

The William is quite puzzled about my sister's cat, Max. He is a new addition since our last visit, rescued from the shelter, and he doesn't like strangers. He disappeared for the first few days we were here, but yesterday he must have decided we weren't leaving, because he came out of hiding. William bounced up all tail-wagging and wiggling, wanting to play -- and Max smacked him across the nose. William was shocked! He retreated to the far side of the room and spent several minutes wiping his nose on the carpet, trying to get rid of the smacked sensation. :D For the rest of the day, he stopped two feet away from Max every time he wanted to say hello. Max hasn't really made friends with him yet, but I think it's just a matter of time.

Happy Saturday to all!

Good Morning,

Liz, I sure wish I could follow you - you find the best spots!!

Sue, congrats on the retirement!!

We had the best RZR ride of the season yesterday - I asked L why it took him 3 winters to take me on this trail! Absolutely beautiful scenery and some geode digging. We brought geodes back but haven't 'opened' them yet. Did open a couple at the site. The plan is to boondock in the area when I come in April next year -Sharon has been invited to join us. :)

So far I think I will be cleaning today....haven't heard otherwise. Hoping for an afternoon ride through the little hoops looking for critters.

Have a good day all.

Beautiful day again here at the beach. I just wish the motorcycle noise would stop. I guess it will in a couple of days, but I will be gone by then. There are just thousands and thousands of them driving up and down the highway with little stopping. Last night around 8:30 pm, I also heard the sounds of a lot of sirens, so I am guessing that there was either a big accident or a problem at one of the bars down the road. Luckily, it is peaceful here other than the noise from the road. I really like that Florida state parks are all gated and many have separate gates for the campgrounds--good security.

Next time I come here it will NOT be during Daytona Bike Week! Also, need to remind myself not to come during Spring Break either, and that is next week, I believe. Anyway, I plan to be in the southwest for next winter. Any places I should avoid out there at any times???

Wonderful news, Sue! Now you will be able to relax and enjoy your summer. My guess is that you will get at least a small itch to travel.

Got lots of work to do today, plus some laundry, so I had better get started doing it.

Congrats Sue! Now you can relax and just enjoy your life more.

Ava, I got tickled about the doggy blankets. Rascal is my worst about just putting his paw on my foot then cocking his head at me when he wants something. I have to figure it out based on what he couldn't need, like you. The other two are more direct at letting me know what they want.

Red, $1.00 off per gallon is great! Cannot wait to see you and Birdie tomorrow. I am looking at the sites directly across from me. One is empty and the other is supposed to leave tomorrow. It has gotten much quieter this afternoon. We had a lot of people come in yesterday and leave out this morning.

It has gotten quieter this afternoon. We had a lot of people come in yesterday afternoon and leave out today. Next week is OK Spring Break, so it should get busier as the week goes on again. We have a Camp Host meeting Monday at 1:00. It will be great to see some of the Hosts I have met in the past who are still here or back for this season.

I have been working on getting my MH back shipshape. I got my bedding changed out for Spring and Summer. The dogs can sure tear up comforters so I throw away and put new on each Spring and Fall. I like a new look too. I have been putting things back where they go when I am not traveling. Also have been trying to get a handle on the mountain of laundry I have again since leaving Florida. I still cannot believe how much dust I can get in a week of driving too.

Hope everyone is having a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.
