Solved Fantastic Fan problem! Decided to take it apart for a look, fownd that a bolt to hold the arm in place was gone. Fixed in less than 15 mins! Hooray for me! Fownd a "mobile repair" in Hemet, $70 service fee to come here, so will hit him on my way back to Phx. Will spend a night (or two?) with Sharon if she's available--yew owt there Sharon??? Didn't get a response to my PM to yew :(

Didn't feel the earthqwake here. Maybe was driving? Bt all is well it seems.

More hot coffee & doing taxes today--like so many others! Y'all have a great day, safe travels! :P

Good Chilly Morning

I traded the sands of FL and SW GA for the red clay of AL yesterday. By late afternoon I will be home. Sad that my 2 month adventure has come to an end but thrilled that it went so well and I got to visit with so many forum members. A big thanks to all of you who helped make this first major trip such a success.

Hope you have a great day.

Don't get yer panties twisted Carolb!  I didn't get on the computer yesterday after I got home and just got your message this morning! I told ya and told ya and told ya, call me, don't depend on me getting on the computer! I picked up the Chewmonster on the way in yesterday, dropped off my suitcase, grabbed some clean clothes and took off for my daughters. You have mail!

Had a lot of fun in Laughlin with Evie (Pooker), but then we always have a good time. Evie had never been to Slab City and I wanted to check on Donna (ryegal) so we took a loop out that way and visited with Donna for a few minutes before heading on to Laughlin. I took a beautiful picture on 95-S on the way home but my pooter is messing up this morning so I'll try and post it later. There is something about the desert that just refreshes my soul, even just driving thru it.

Gotta run, the Harley dealer is picking Big Bikey up this morning for some work he needs done, so I need to get him out of the garage and ready to go. Naturally, now that the weather is pretty I'll be bikeless. sigh. And I heard a couple of squeaks from the bedroom, so Miss Chewy is ready to get up and start her day. The Samcat gets up at O dark thirty with me.

Good morning all. I'm just not used to the new time. By the time I wake up it seems like half the day is gone :) Sounds like fun out on the left coast. Well, we got all the stuff done for our Corp taxes and our personal taxes and delivered to our CPA. So there is no excuse not to go on an adventure. It is spring break here this week. So we are playing with the idea of going next week when there might be room at the cgs. Other than that, it is the same ole stuff, cleaning house, running errands. Everyone have a great day and stay safe if you are on the road. Aloha y'all

Another Burrrr Morning from cloudy snowy Normal... on my way home from getting groceries yesterday it was snowing at a good clip... just a dusting to remind us winter is not completely done...
Having coffee this morning will have tea later...
Wow Sarah you have had such a wonderful trip... Red's adventures are about to begin... will you have a toad? Carolb you are on the move this winter for sure...
I will start cleaning out kitchen cupboards there is a lot of 'stuff' in there that I never use... did not have room for some of my groceries so they are on the counter...
Oatmeal for breakfast and blueberries to top it off...
Take care everyone

GOOD MORNING ALL!

After staying up until almost 4:00 am to see the first two finishers in the Iditarod dog race, I am a bit weary this morning! But a friend of mine has been keeping us updated on Facebook each day about the racers and their dog teams, and I was drawn into getting wrapped up in how it would end! An over-50-year old, Mitch Seavey, came in first about a half hour ahead of a girl, Aliy Zirkle....what a grueling race for both man/woman and beast out there on those Alaskan trails. I have always loved dog racing ever since Lake Placid NY used to be a major race site when Alpo sponsored it. I miss it now. I used to have a dog who had a harness and could pull me across the snow in the old days, and I always aspired to become a dog racer. However, then came marriage and kids, and that hope fell by the wayside. I still love to watch those races, however.

It's cooler here today, but sunny, and not a day conducive to tackling my income taxes which I again put off yesterday. Think I will just dog walk and dream of the snowy trails in Alaska----there are still many racers out there who have yet to finish.

Hope you all have a wonderful day whatever you do and wherever you may be.

Happy travels!

Late good morning from Macom, GA. I had dinner with my cousin last night and am waiting to meet up with her this afternoon to play tourist. In the meantime I shopped for the "pink" stuff and have winterized the Short Bus for its trip back to Ohio through Kentucky. I don't trust those states to be as temperature gentle. We will be living off water jugs till we get back home on Sunday......then it will be time to get everything in order so that I can report back to my seasonal scoring job and earn some more gas money....(or is that pay for the toys I bought this trip?)

Good morning all…just got last load of laundry in..bedding from company…..yesterday we spend the whole day over at Wickham Park again…tool walks around and also in the campground area…missing camping….people watched and read awhile…went looking for steps for the RV…as step still is broke I sure made a mess of it…found something at Home Depot but not really happy with it..did find some Rubbermaid at the Old Time Pottery…that folded but cost was $30.00 more than I wanted to spend…Saw an on site RV repair man at the campground so I added his phone to my contacts…Not sure what I will do this afternoon..maybe go to the home park.

have a great day and stay safe

good morning ladies
I slept in, and don't even remember turning off the alarm, TWO of them! and the girls are still sleeping, would think
they would be hungry. The girls had a great time running around the entire house yesterday, sniffing all the spots
where the big dog layed. Gracie actually got out the back yard where the worker had the side open to access the
electric box, (he's putting in 220 for the dryer son got) she thought she had died and gone to heaven with all their
cat smells back there,
The agenda for today, guess I'll get the taxes done. Have put that off long enough and then I'll continue reorganizing
my shelves and drawers. Have two bags of stuff to get to the goodwill, and more to come I'm sure as I go through
the drawers etc.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe. Warmer weather is around the corner.

Love waking up at Gamble Rogers State Park in Florida! I've been here for 10 days and have another 4 left. It is wonderful to hear the ocean all night and wake up to check the surf from my front windows! All for a whopping $28 per night! I checked online what a commercial campground about 15 miles away is asking for bechfront sites: $130 this time of year! Anyway, it is very, very hard to get a site here, but if you have a smaller rig, the sites on the north end are a little more available because they can only hold smaller rigs and tents. Still need to make reservations 11 months and one second in advance!

I am really worn out today. I left here at 7:00 am yesterday morning and drove to an RV dealer 75 miles away for warranty work. After a 6 hour wait, I left and drove home with a couple of stops to look for cameras and some other things. Did not get back until 6:00 pm, hungry and ready to relax. Got a good night's sleep (at least for me) but still worn out.

It is going to be a windy and sunny day, temps around 70, which is not bad. Will be spending almost all of my day indoors catching up on work.

Love this place!!

Donna, many rvers go to Walmart or similar and get an aerobic step to use. I can make mine two different heights and if I really get ambitious can even use it for what it's intended. I like it better than any of the steps made for RVs.
