First Kayak Trip

Today I took my new kayak out for the first time to Del Valle Lake in Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore, CA. It was 78 degrees and a beautiful day!

No Linda, just drove over. There were a few other kayakers, but it's a big lake so nobody close by. Was great fun though and everything went smoothly. Don't know why the third calf in the last pic was cut out :( . He was the cutest too ;) .The kayak was a little heavy but I managed. May get a cart.

I loved your pictures Sandi. My kayak is still in the box. Going to take it out when I get to Lake Murray for it's maiden voyage.

It sure looked like it was a beautiful day for your kayaking. 78 degrees sounds really good.

We're getting more and more kayak ears on here. Kinda goes with traveling and camping near water. Congratulations on your maiden voyage.

Yay Sandi! You're supposed to get a picture of the front of the kayak and your toes so we know you were actually in the kayak! But you did good, GF!

OK Sharon, this is the closest I can get. No toes, but you can see the kayak.

Yep, she was in her kayak. :) I bet those cows thought you were interesting! It gets easier to get on the water each time. Keep having fun....

Maybe you can use those "kayak ears" as sails?
