Kayak Accessory Backpack/Bag

Postby monik7 » Sat Mar 09, 2013 1:12 pm

I decided carrying my new kayak from campsite to launch site might necessitate my carrying the 4-part paddle, dry bag and anything else on my back. So, this is what I came up with yesterday. Since my kayak is dark orange with black accents and my vest is orange and charcoal, I decided to coordinate and chose this quilted material in similar colors. It has a drawstring at the top. Now I'll have both hands free to schlep the inflated kayak from here to there!

Well, aren't you clever!!! Maybe you've found a way to make some fuel bucks! Have you had it out in the water yet?
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.

Not yet Sharon. I've been waiting for warmer weather, although my outdoor thermometer says it's 75 on my deck now. Maybe I might venture out Mon. or Tues. for the first time.

Sandi, you definitely have most of us beat. I remember just seeing piles of "stuff" being shlepped down to the water in piles just this week.... Also, it great ly helps to kayaks with friends. That two person carry make the trek to the water more pleasant. :)

Your idea is very attractive 8-) I just use a big dry sack for all my crap  I don't usually break down my paddle, as I have such a hard time pushing in that little button. I am usually kayaking with someone else and then I can throw my stuff in my kayak and do the two person carry.
