Waiting for Rain Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Waiting for Rain Saturday

Postby Colliemom » Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:51 am

Good Morning everyone,

Rain in the forecast here for late today. Hope it's not too much as with the ground covered with snow and frozen yet, it doesn't hav any place to go, but it will help take down the snowpack and thaw the roads out. At least till the temps drop again.

had a good day here yesterday for the most part. Not much in pain for me. That was tolerable. Took Ms. Tessa to the vet for her two week checkup and she got the best report she has had in the kidney disease started. Her BUN/CREA levels are more normal and her Phosphoruos levels have dropped way down thanks to the increase in her tabs for that. So the vet says her kidneys are functioning to the capacity that they are able to. As long as her red blood cells don't take a nose dive, we are fine for now. Only lingering problem is the bacterial infection which refues to respond to the anitbiotics she's on. Anything stronger, then she quits eating, so it's a merry go round there. We have added Amoxicillian to the mix, but I can see signs where she may not tolerate that either. Time will tell.

I got a good look at her devious nature last night though. She woke me up about 1 a.m. for potty call. Then came back in, but unfotunately mom (Sassy) had commandered her favorite bed for the night, so she had to slep elsewhere. Around 4 she woke me up again, gifured she had to go out again. Turned on my beside light which woke up Sassy and she got up. I started out the bedroom door, Tessa just watched and as Sassy and I left, she took a quick look behind to make sure we were leaving and beelined for that bed    So Sassy had to go elsewhere when she came back in. Talk about doggie conniving  Tessa didn't have to go out, she was just getting her bed back. Very clever I might say. Had to laugh a Red's description of Tyler on the RV slide too.

Suonds like the FL gang's slowiy heading out. Gonna be quiet down there. But you all had a wonderful winter and so have those of you in AZ and other areas west. Guess next winter the same gang will have to headback to FL for another winter of fun and GTG's. Looks like there is going to be a small one in SC with Irmi, Steve, Lori and Ernie. That will be fun. Did you and Ernie get your tax refund spent yesterday, Lori?

Not much doing for breakfast around here. Have cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage and toast handy for anybody who wants some.

Need to head for town today. Couple of errrands and gets me out of the house to do something for a little while. Did take the dogs for a walk yesterday as the sun softened up the top of the hard packed snow/ice on the road. Will probably do same today later on. Yes, spring is coming in slow but sure and now that our spring "Frost Laws" (truckers road restrictions) are in effect, that's a definite sign of spring.

Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning, Sue and all that follow....

Spent some of the return...new "tenni-runners", new tops, a stop at Harry & David's for some goodies, and had lunch at Robert Irvine's "Nosh" restaurant. Very good and fairly priced...

Today, a run down I-95 to visit friends in Darien, GA with a stop at Walmart on the way back....

The management finally got us a fire-ring so that we can have campfires when Irmi and Steve get here.... ;)

Okay, looks like I need to get my butt in gear...coffee and cranberry muffins set out for ya'll....

Have a great day, all.... :D

DH headed out the door for his skeet shooting league, then gun show and fishing show :P I'm having a gtg with 2 forum sistas today :P After they see RED, we will head for town in search of good food and trouble  Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

good morning ladies
well I slept good last night but I still feel so stressed out. Wanting to start a project this morning and the worker that helped
me with the shed base did not return my tape measure or my box of long screws, will have to go buy some more cause I
searched around sons stuff and couldn't find them anywhere. My own fault, I should have specifically told him to RETURN
to me after he was done. Was not planning on a trip to Home Depot this morning. Then of course there is the issue with
the new cell phone....frickin windows 8 is a pain in the patooti and its so hard to remember where stuff is located on it.
Its driving me crazy and makes me worry its my memory going south.
Grandson is still here with that scary dog. Think grandson is getting ready to move out of his apt. (my suspicions, will have
to find out whats up) The bathroom has been in utter chaos all week since he's been here, well I guess more than the bathroom when I think about it. I love my grandson but don't want to live with a teenager, even though he's polite and he's
a good worker. The frustration is setting in and might have to step up my plans on my remodel and get it done sooner so I
can get moved back in. The girls need to relax too, the scary dog has them reacting too even though I'm sure they are
sensing it from me.
Alright, I gotta get outta here, catch ya all later, have a great day.

Good Morning,

A cool, cloudy 57 F in the Butte this morning. It should be warming up to about 72 F or so.

I am waiting for the dew on the ground to dry up, then it will be time to mow the yards. The weather man is predicting rain tomorrow afternoon, so need to get it done today. Once daylight saving time changes (tonight), then I can mow the yards after work which gives me the whole weekend for other things.

Have a great day!

Good Morning,

We had a good rain and some wind yesterday for awhile. There are some nasty lookin' clouds now.

L replaced the 'porch' light on both our rigs with motion sensor lights. I continued to move things around in here and box up more to go to storage.

Thursday would be our normal shopping day, but we are both doing other things this week so we are off to Avondale this morning.

Have a good day all!

[color=#800000]GOOD MORNING ALL!

Another nice sunny day here, and much warmer than it has been lately in the mornings. Yes, we are in the middle of a drought down here, but so did we have one for every winter that I have been down here. Wildfires break out all over the place during the winters, which seems to be "normal" for this area, if not dangerous and scary for those near those fires. Now summers are quite another story, with heavy and nasty lightning storms nearly every afternoon, and enough rain (before I arrived here) to flood many areas. Summers I will be back in the mountains where I hope we will have as nice a climate as we did the past two summers----a little rain, and mostly sunshine. The drawback to being up there is the myriads of biting bugs that love to attack at all times of the day! It has always seemed a miracle to me that I can always leave my trailer doors, including the screen, open all the time I am here. Dinah and Molly love it, too, at my son's as they can come and go whenever. I do remember one onslaught of little, non-biting midget-like bugs last year that came out in the lights at night, which were small enough to come through the screens. We call them no-see-ums back at home, and spraying the screens with bug spray is the only thing that will stop them from flocking to your lights. But they were short-lived, and no problem at all.

My neighbors set up a HUGE inflatable slide and bouncer thing last night for their middle daughter's third birthday party today, to which I am invited. They are having hot dogs and hamburgers and beer, and I am taking a new recipe of my infamous RECIPE, which I think I like even better than the older concoction! I got the birthday girl Emma some sidewalk chalk to make some hopscotches, two hoola hoops, (one small, one big for all age kids) one plastic ball-in-cup game, a froggie washcloth, and ten little boxes of goldfish for the neighborhood kids.....thanks to the dollar store!

Poor manatees are dying right and left down here in FL this year...some to red tide that infects their vegetation that they consume, and many to ship propeller injuries. Poor, lumbering mammals that seem to be so endangered right now make me sad.

Have a fine Saturday you all----Goog and Melissa may show up today to go to the Sea World concert this afternoon, after they go boat shopping once again.

Good Morning ah the sun lasted but a day! The rain has arrived... that is fine as it helps the snow melt... did not get rid of enough snow to clean up the dirty poo... yes Beth it is better to get it up with it frozen but I am not very studious... lol I am for sure it will be a soggy mess...
Well it is Sat again... not as good news as the past weeks... -0 total -20... it is surprising to me that eating more makes me lose...
My daughter went to Starved Rock for a couple of days with some lady friends... I have never been so one day I will have to go...
my oatmeal and blue berries are gone now having coffee...
I woke up in the night and turned on tv got hooked on a movie and then went back to sleep... did not get up until 10...
Shadow doesn't like the rain so he was glad to stay in bed a couple of hours longer...
Have a dry day everyone...

I totally understand your frustration with Windows 8 Ava.....My son had knee surgery & was unable to get around for quite a while. A big sale on laptops was advertised around Christmas time so I bought him an inexpensive Lenovo laptop...Not realizing it came with Windows 8....My son (who is not really computer literate) has just about given up on trying to use the computer as Windows 8 is sooooo confusing. He brought it to my home to check it out & after fooling with it I told him maybe we ought to consider buying Windows 7 & downloading it .... just to get rid of 8...so he could at least have an easier time learning how to use the laptop...he declined as he didn't want me to spend any more money....Maybe once he is healed & on his feet again & working, he'll decide to buy it himself.....
My personal opinion about Windows 8 is that it is extremely confusing & absolutely needs some corrections by Microsoft....The bad thing is, all the new computers come with 8 now....guess it's time to check online for how to use it....
