ohhhhhhhh, I am so tired, but just wanted to stop by and check in. Had a very busy
day yesterday hiking with my sister, we did South Mountain Park, drove up to the
lookout, then down to a parking lot and did some hiking. My sister is quite a hiker
but I hadn't done any since I moved here in 2001, but I did great cause I do lots of
walking otherwise. Then drove around town some and then to the Salt River and
Verde River confluence, (where they meet) the state redid that campground and
its really nice now, even has grass! I'll try to get some pictures up for you soon.
Tomorrow we are going to the Desert Botanical Gardens to see the Chihuly: nature
of glass exhibit. The tv advertisements and the website make it look beautiful so
I'm really looking forward to it. Wednesday we are planning a trip to Tucson area,
Tombstone and other points in that area. Thursday I go back to work. Oh almost
forgot, had dinner at my sisters, she cooked chicken and rice, they have a room
with a kitchen and things, took my daughter too so she could meet her aunt and
uncle and had a great time. They figured out which side of the family their oldest
son got his chatterbox habit from, hmm, it was funny, so I said, " does that mean
you want me to shut up once in a while? "
So sometimes I ramble  but for now, I'm going to bed, I'm tired. And I'm happy.

FERNIE!! THERE you are! So good to see you by the fire!! It sounds as if you are having a good time in your new location, and it's great to hear that Bash is enjoying her new knee. We all miss you here, so need to get a new plug for that computer, or have the socket checked out or tightened up so you can be with us!

Thanks for sharing the fire, even though you are in a much warmer climate than many of the rest of us!

Here's some more logs to keep 'er going, and I'll leave my chair set up as I will be spending a lot of time here in the next few days of Arctic weather headed for us! Feel free to use my chair until I return!

I do plan on meeting Fernie while she's here, after my sister goes back to Wisconsin,
and I get rested up I'll get to plannin a meetup. Fernie, are ya listenin? :P and btw,
I hope your electric heater is keeping you warm enough at night, I do know the feeling
of waking up at 1:30 and the blasted rv is so cold cause the propane ran out. It always
runs out in the night  My last big delivery cost me $92 and it was supposed to
last me until mid February except the regulater going out made me loose most of it.
Took my little one down yesterday morning and got it filled so I have something to
use for nighttime until next payday when I can call for another delivery. If I'm frugal
and the weather doesn't get too cold I'll make it last :P
I better get going, gotta get the girls ready for their long day home alone, and pack
my daypack.

Holy smoke-a-ronis!! It's freaking cold out there! BRRRRRRR Suppose to get down in the single digits tomorrow night here.

No freezing cold air down my neck. Got my big blue blankie all wrapped around me and by goodness I'm gonna stay warm. Ahhhhhh that fire feels heavenly. Between the fire, the blankie, coffee and Baileys?? It just doesn't get any better.

Plan on sitting here for a while. Got my thermos full of coffee and what's left of my bottle of Baileys. I'm all set.

I'm bringing more logs for the fire Echo. It's colder than a "crick rock" here in Indiana. It's supposed to get 4 degrees tomorrow. BR!!!!! But at least it's toasty warm here at the campfire. Cheryl

I had to stop by the fire this morning to bring a few more logs and warm my hands! It's -20 F. this morning here in the Adirondacks, and my truck is not gonna like starting and rolling down the road to work.

Soooo.....a quick warm-up for me and Molly before I head out to warm-up the truck! Can't spike my coffee with anything this morning, but sure wish I could! Keep the homefires burning, y'all.....see you later!

Gee--thought I was cold here till I read how cold ya'll are. I haven't turned the heat up yet. I just have a blanket around me and thought the campfire would be the perfect place to warm up!! Looking forward to meeting you Ava. It looks like I'm going to have to make a trip to Texas sometime or other. My sis developed an infection in her foot (yes she is diabetic) and had to have her toes removed on her right foot yesterday. It is time for her to make some hard decisions like living closer to family. I am waiting to see what my brothers do and what she decides. I spent 4 months there two years ago when she almost lost the same foot. I can't do that again so waiting to see what she is going to do.

I threw some more logs on the fire and I'm headed to turn up the heater!!! Got a big pot of hot chocolate too!! Help yourself. Also got some donuts from Crispy Creme!!

Going to enjoy me a cup of hot choc.

We need a campfire here this morning but it was only 53 when I got up and took Tobey to the dog park. I sure can't complain about the weather since it will be about 75 here today. It was 6 above back home this morning!! Wind Chill was minus 6!! Yikes!!

I grabbed a couple of your candies Sheila---one in each hand like a kid!! They sound great to me!!! Don't need them for sure but what the heck!! LOL

Thanks Beth. I just tried to call Mary and she didn't answer so I assume she is down for surgery again. They were to clean it and make sure the infection had drained out. If so, he will close the wound. Don't know what they will do if it isn't draining. I hate to think. I thought I'd wait an hour or so and call the nurse's desk there.
