I'm so sorry to hear about the poor little dog. Glad he has forgiven your daughter already.
Last week one night I was having a hot flash in bed and I swung my leg out over the blankets and karate chopped my poor cat with my foot! She went flying off the bed startled! She was OK tho but I felt bad. So things like that happen...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

That is so sad, but accidents do happen. I was having a nightmare one night and kicked Radar off the bed, luckily there were no injuries...she forgave me but I felt just terrible. Although she did stay on DH side of the bed for a few nights.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

how sad for you DD hopefully she will forgive herself sooner rather than later.
My family was in an awful accident in 73 I went out with my husband and dd who wasn't that old
for the funeral and then stayed on to help while my mom was in the hospital so I was sleeping in
my folks bed with my dd she fell out and I kept in my dreams kicking this creature off the bed as she tried
to get back in What creature I thought it was I had no idea when I finally woke up and realized who was trying
to get into bed....these things happen but it took me a long time to get over that

I'm glad that things are better with your DD. When I first got Trent he had to find his spot on the bed. Sandy took up most of the room at the bottom of the bed, so Trent was left with the top. Well, I turned over one time and was having difficulty taking the covers with me so pulled really hard.(Trent was lying on top of them) Next thing I hear is a thud. Poor Trent went flying off the bed. He came right back up and we cuddled for awhile. To this day, whenever I roll over he gets up and waits for me to settle down before he does. :D They will be fine. That brings tears to my eyes, too. Hope the pup heals well -- and her heart as well.

Glad that things are getting better. Reading the posts reminded me of my poodle Sugarlump. Bless her heart. We were sleeping and I tried to roll over. I thought Jim had the cover tucked in on his side, so I gave a big yank and was startled when she flew straight up into the air and fell right back in her place  She had no idea what had happened. But she looked at her mama laughing her butt off in the bed, rolled those beautiful brown eyes at me,turned her back to me and settled down again. I will never forget that, it was so funny. Just glad she didn't fly off the bed, because she went up at least 2 to 3 feet in the air.

Many of you know this story, but you newer gals might not: I use a long velcro strap to hold my tv in place on the bunk-over when moving. One time I was breaking camp and Spike wouldn't come down from her favorite lounge place on the bunk. I called. Rattled the Friskies. Darn cat. Now I'd have to drag out the ladder to climb up and get her. She had velcroed herself from shoulder to hip! I had evidently left the hook side up. I was laughing so hard I could barely peel her off and I'm sure it was like taking off a bandaid! She was sure in a snit, believe me. It's hard to say "I meant to do that" when you can't move! And, as any cat owner knows, no matter how embarassing the situation a cat always indicates they meant to do that.

And I'm literally laughing out loud, at work no less!!!! And I know that "I meant to do that" look from cats.
