Hi all
OK - I'm back and already tweaked! Wrote a really nice post and seemed to have lost it - if this shows up twice - ignore me - at least once! I'm an old member (tough in a group that's only 4 years old...) but I've been BUSY! Full timed in a big Alpenlite for 3 1/2 years - have now downsized to my 75 GMC as I sold the Alpenlite to buy a little house in Bend, OR - from whence I came. Am in Quartzsite for the winter, boondocking on BLM land.
Have met wonderful people, online and in person and was convinced this afternoon to come back to the forum. I can't do chat because I can't keyboard terribly long, but I'll be lurking ladies! LOL And, yes, probably saying things from time to time. There's a mini GTG here right now, Carol B, Anita, Sheila and I. The gals who all came out in January were fabulous - well, OK - one guy came too....... They gave me the hutzpah to go visit the Slabs - something I wouldn't have done by myself. Regardless, you all mean a lot to me and I want to be a part of the fun again.
I'm leaving my GMC here in Quartzsite (I hope!) for the next year as I go back to Bend for the summer and then head to North Carolina in the fall. My oldest is at Duke Law and is pregnant with my first grandbaby. Oh my - I remember this time in my life - seems like deja vu all over again. I'm going to be their nanny until she graduates in May of 2014. I feel as if I am simply all over the place - but that's all part of the adventure. I traveled cross country twice last year with her, too and from NC as she interned in SF for the summer. I got to spend August on the east coast - is that the 'right' coast? Got to meet another forum gal of days past, Silverschooner, who lives in New Hampshire. We spent a delightful week together. I realize how much this group of virtual friends means to me and how many of you have become more than virtual friends. Like the real deal!
Talk soon! I guess I'm useful at towing big rigs and old motorhomes - and I don't know a ton, but once in my career I was a parts and service manager of an RV dealership......I've been RVing since I was 6 months old - if you count a teardrop as an RV! So yes Sharon M, you can keep track of me! Maybe.............. Hope Chewy gets used to her meds and if she's going to urp on the bed, be grateful she isn't bigger!
Love y'all
Kerry
