Time of EXERCISE...No not that kind

Just a reminder to run your generators if you have them. Just patting myself on the back for doing so earlier. I started the genny, turned the furnace on, got the snacks ready and decided on a DVD to watch and settled in. so, I watched the movie, ate and shared snacks with the pups and then took a nap. There, exercise done for the month. I'm good to go till next month.

Seriously, all generators need to be run with at least 1/2 load once a month. This also applies to those fulltime gals, even if you are on hookups regularly. Also those units that are put away for the winter need to check the battery as well. Gotta keep the RV's in good shape for out get-aways.

Take care all

Good reminder Linda.

I have a Honda 2000 so it is here in the house with me. I take it out on the deck and crank it up at least monthly. Yes, with a load. Re: battery, I bring my battery inside for the winter, keep it in the basement on a board. Never on the cement floor. Of course my type of rig is different than most and probably a lot more simple.

When I worked at Kaibab Lodge I had a built in generator and once a month I'd run it. Everytime people would come running up to my rig, are you leaving? Did you get mad at someone? I have to take my portable genny in to Corpus today. I got sand in it when I was living on the beach. It may be nothing, I can see it, but I can't get it out,

Very true about the genny. Hubby says to actually run it with a full load if possible so after it is warmed up we turn on the AC units if it's summer. In winter it's not easy to load it up unless we run the micro and TV, heater, etc.
