Great idea on the "no bugs". Re black vs light colors, I would have thought that a light color would be better but the Magna Shade site says that the black seems to be best and does not create heat. Go figure.

Exactly ... Go figure.

If you're interested here's the company I ordered from - and I love these screens ... slide right over my doors, just a matter of seconds to put on or take off. And they came in their own little case when they are off.

Those look like they are going to make a significant difference. I had screens like that on some windows in Hawaii and they worked really well.
