Busy day!

I have an 9 o'clock appointment in Quartzsite tomorrow to have the furnace looked at to see why it sometimes does not shut off. Hoping it is just the thermostat, but it is under warranty. So I have been trying to put everything away.

Got 3 loads of laundry done and dried. The laundry rack is empty but the laundry room is now a zoo so no more today.

I have been researching sewing machines. Finally decided on one that is available only in stores so called the sewing store near my DD in Washington. The machine just happens to be on sale so paid for it and DD will pick it up for me. Love my 40 year old machine but it is big and heavy.

Soos, assuming the Class B you like is a private sale. You might consider a consignment lot for your truck and trailer, tho you would want the trailer to be sold first or you wouldn't have a way to tow it.

Hope you are all having a good day - especially Dawn on her birthday!!

I was unable to post on MC yesterday. I am curious as to why talking to SS in person gets a better result.

Soos, just remember it won't be worth nearly as much to the dealer if you aren't getting something from them, and even then it's still not worth as much as you could sell it outright for. Take a look at the sites that value vehicles like nadaguides.com and get the value there. They'll give you wholesale and retail prices so you really have a good idea.

And please make sure you could park a Class B at your house down there. I remember you saying you have lots of restrictions.

Good Afternoon

After telling us yesterday that no spaces available here (Wandering Oaks) for either me or Tina, when we checked this morning both of us were able to extend stay. Worst of weather is to come thru Ocala tonight and tomorrow. Currently under a tornado watch but other than uncomfortable humidity weather okay so far. Anyway, we have sites until Wed AM and very thankful not to have to move yet.
Most of this park is like a big open field with two sides lined by large pin oak trees. I'm the only one from our group who is under one of those trees. May not be such a good thing as it is already dropping stuff on roof.
Had some very light rain a few minutes ago. Can check off one more thing; the rain sensor on Fantastic fan works like a charm. First time it has been tested and to my surprise when the rain quit, the fan came back on by itself.
Overall things have gone so well on this trip, I may even add some pots and pans for next one. No experience cooking on gas and I am fearful of it. However, now that I know I'm not the one who has to refill tank sounds a little less frightening. There is a big cold front on back side of this storm front; may need the gas to run heater if the little electric heater isn't enough.
Have a good, safe day.

It is blowing like crazy here in San Antonio. Naturally the rain we were supposed to get last night never showed up or it may have blown through so fast it is currently in Florida. I went over to my RV storage lot to tie the tire covers down so I wouldn't lose them to the wind. Then I went to Walmart for groceries. While I was in the checkout line, it started sounding like a freight train heading through so I started looking towards the restrooms for possible cover. We moved to San Antonio from Wichita Falls and up there, if you hear a train and you know there are no tracks right next to you, you start looking for cover. It was just the wind. How windy was it? Well, when I checked my phone messages, my neighbor called to say one of the fence panels between our houses cracked the post and blew down. Not to worry, her dog is inside and her gates are all secured so the dachsies won't get out. My DH has jury duty today so she called her husband to come home and he removed one more panel before it came down. I came in the house and found an absolutely enormous knuckle bone sitting on the family room floor so I know my furkids were over there visiting the big dog toys.

Thanks for the SS explanation, Donna. That subject came up at the Q GTG and with some other friends later. That was never anything I had to think about so wasn't surprised people weren't aware of possibilities.

When I turned 60 and could get Steven's SS as a widow, the nice man told me to call back when I turned 62. He thought perhaps my own SS might be more. Told him we didn't have to worry about that!

No RED for Red today. We made it to dealer at 9:30 am. The weather was clam, misting and foggy. They inspected Monty, we signed the title over to them and gave them the keys. Went to our new rig and spent 4 hrs doing walk through. A few things need to be fixed. They still had not finished removing all the plastic and stuff. So we went to grab a quick lunch. Then to finish paperwork and write the check. Then back to service to drive her home. However, the wind started blowing. 30 mph gusts. They had not finished prepping her. It would be another hour and then we have to deal with rush hour traffic and ever increasing winds. We both have Dr appt tomorrow. The kind that you make months in advance and to reschedule would postpone for months again. Resolution?? They will deliver her to our home tomorrow afternoon. So tomorrow will be my RED day :P Meanwhile we are sitting here with a stack of manuals and reading till our eyes are blurry.
