Last Sunday of Feb.

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Sunday of Feb.

Postby Colliemom » Sun Feb 24, 2013 6:37 am

Ah ha, it's mine, all mine     Nobody's up and posted yet, so Morning Coffee is mine to start this morning.

Bacon, eggs, sausage, toast milk or OJ on the menu today, Help yourselves. Since I dont drink coffee, will have to bring your own though :)

Bit ofa ruogh night last night for me. Back was giving me pain and hard to getcomfty to sleep. But survived the night and am felling better this morning especially having done my little bout of exercises at 3 a.m. At least no dogs were present this time

Gosh, everybody's so busy out there. Red trying to clean out her old rig to get ready for the new rig, Anita has a pile of "stuff" to put away and organize in her little house, Paulette will have a new rig to get organized and made into her "home away from home" as well. Soos has converter problems, etc. etc. Ah the joys of RVing.

Well, we had just enough snow yesterday, that I am going to have to get the blower out later this morning and take my little walk up and down the drive. Also will need to go to town later on and get a new pair of ice walkers for my boots. One has a broken strap and won't stay on anymore, so..... Don't want to walk out on the road without them although with this new snow, it's good traction. Plus i have a memorial service to go to late this afternoon at the park. Some of us are gathering to say goodbye to our former co-worker who passed away last weekend. Maybe, just maybe, the girls might get a walk. They are getting cabin fever.

Just want to thank you all for your concerns about my back issues and also for your support on my considering retirement. Like BJ said, one must follow one's dreams before one gets too old to do that. Today I will see my former boss and also our former lead Ranger who is not a park supervisor. If there is a possibility that I can go work for the former Lead Ranger at her park, this summer, I wll do so. Othewise I will take a summer off. First however, I need to find out some facts and figures from the SS folks. I hav the info I need online, but face to face conversation sometimes turns up something different. so we shall see.

Well, I"m not tying up Coffee with a bunch of nothing jabber here. Just wantd to get breakfast started for you all. Hope you all have a wonderful day, no matter the weather or what else heads your way.

Sue's got us going this morning... ;) I was up at 4:30am with an early Spinner walk, but since I hadn't had enough coffee, just did some reading here....I don't function well without at least 2 cups of java.....

Well, the rain is done for a couple of days...then it will be here again... Hope to get the inside cleaning finished and the outside 5er wash, too in the next couple days...we'll see....

Okay, have been lazy enough on here, so am off to wash the "bed head" hair and get around for the day....Need a nap before the Daytona this afternoon....or I'll miss it...I just know.... :o

Have a great day, all.... :D

Good morning all.

Busy week here. Today after church I will drive to my dd's to collect mail and be able to get all bills paid. Tomorrow is Honda service and eye appt. Tuesday will be RV service, tire rotation and generator service. Wed. Is dentist appt. and funeral for church member that died this week. Still need to reschedule hair cut. Had to change that because of the funeral. Hopefully Thurs. or Friday I'll be able to have some fun with Irmi and Steve. Next Sunday it'll be back to my dd's while she has some medical tests done. If all is well, I can start planning my travels again after that.

I did successfully, on the second try, E-file my taxes yesterday, so one thing checked off my list.

Supposed to be kinda rainy here for a couple of days. I notice all the azaleas are in full bloom around town. Sure sign of Spring.

Wishing all a great day.

Good morning all. It is a clear blue sky and sunshine this morning. But suppose to rain this afternoon. Didn't get much done with Monty yesterday. Got everything put of her though. OMG, how much stuff there is. Had no idea. This is like moving day. And my storage system will have to start from scratch cuz all the cupboards and storage areas are different sizes and shapes in RED :x

Yesterday we went up to Conroe to the gun show. 30 min after it opened there still was a line that circled the parking lot. It is crazy. Panic buying because of the threatened gun controls. Store shelves are empty. Can't get guns or ammo at stores or on line and if you find anything it will cost you 3-5 times more than before Sandy Hook. This is so crazy. Because of this panic, more people and homes now have guns and ammo that would never had thought of it before. And many of them don't know how to properly use a weapon. Not just in TX, this is nation wide buying panic.

Anyway, we didn't go into the show, we went over to the shooting range shoot some clay birds, then looked at some souled up golf carts ( lifted with sand tires). They use golf carts for sporting clays and we want one to participate with the Shrine clowns when the march in parades. DH can't walk, but he can drive a gold cart

Then we went to the KOA in Conroe where the Lone Star Allegro Club were camped for their monthly get together. There were 13 Allegro rigs. We met a few of the men from the club and DH and the guys hit it off. They were helping one of the guys fix his satellite dish. The women were out shopping  It was fun to hear others talk about their Allegros with so much passion and pride.

So, today I need to get out there and clean, clean, clean. DHs son is coming this afternoon to help move the new recliners out and the original recliners back in. So, Tomorrow is the big day and I am having bad dreams about driving her into a ditch or over a cliff. OMG, am I ready for this??? Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good morning everyone. I am getting going on getting my chores done this morning. Have been really off my chore schedule this last week. Visiting with Wendy and Sarah while they were here was so much more important. Have to make up for it today. Today is a good day for it as it is raining. Will be going to my Aunt's for dinner this afternoon. Really looking forward to that.

I am starting to get antsy. Ready to hit the road again heading west. We will be leaving here on Thursday. I have really enjoyed my Florida stay, but am ready to be moving again. Before we go, though, Barb and I are planning one more visit with Steve and Irmi tomorrow. Hopefully Tina and Sarah will still be there. It would be great to see Liz again too, but it sounds like she has a full day scheduled for tomorrow.

Getting back to work on my chores now. Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning ladies
fresh coffee coming up as I continue going through my tub of old photos and negatives. Am thankful
for the negatives cause some of those pictures have gotten lost along the way or given to others.
Have a box of slides in the rv and next time I'm out there I'll grab those and get those done too. Those
are old, from my grandmother many years ago. Will get those put on my computer as well.
Going through photos yesterday really threw my body clock off, was so busy when I thought it must
be time to turn on the tv and catch my evening line up, imagine my surprise when I checked
the clock and it was after 10!!! :o  :o But am glad to be able to get this storage problem
taken care of.
Its 49 degrees out this morning, and suppose to get up to 62 and 70 by Tuesday. I'm so ready for
spring, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Coffee is ready and time to cruise the posts and fb then get busy with my day. Ya'll have a great
day, be safe and be warm.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL WHO ARE UP AND ABOUT!

Sue it would be fun if, you take the summer off, to see you at the Ruckus and I could show you around my home spaces! I sure hope your back will healed up by then and that you can get around and sleep without the constant pain.

I woke up at about 1:00, just in time to see the tail end of Saturday Night Live for the first time in a long time. It's nothing like it used to be, and I don't feel as if I am missing anything by not viewing it any more.

For some reason, as has happened a couple of times before, I woke up often with a tingling in my fingers and a funny feeling in my head as if I were going to pass out, although I was lying prone already. As soon as I rouse myself fully awake, I am fine. I have tried to pinpoint when this uneasy feeling happens, but all I can conclude is it's when I am falling into a deep sleep, or something. It is very unnerving. I got up at 1:00 am and took the dogs out for a pee thinking that would help, but the phenomenon continued throughout the night. I am fine now sitting here with coffee.

We have a 50% chance of rain showers here today, and we desperately need some good heavy downpours. I don't wish for thunderstorms, but a nice long rain would be very welcome.

I talked to Kathy on the phone yesterday as she had emailed me a UPS label to put on a box to send her all her mail that has arrived since she was gone. I couldn't open it....it had a wps ending on an attachment, and I had no program on this computer to open it up. So she walked me through going onto the UPS site, plugging in her username and password, finding the label, and I managed to get it open there. I am hoping UPS comes to pick up the package before I leave for my doc appointment on Monday, as after that I will be heading back to the trailer to spend the week with Melissa's parents, both of whom are blind. Other than the package/mail thing, we discussed nothing, so am not even sure where she is at this time. The package is being sent to a Marriot Hotel in Panama Beach. I just hope she finds some happiness somewhere.

May everyone have a nice last February Sunday wherever you may be.

Good morning all! :D

Glad to hear things are better for Nicky, Sarah! Think someone said something abowt water--I do that too & gradyewally change over to local water. Oh, there was another 4-legger not eating, can't remember now, bt hope it's also nothing serios?

Okay! Ava, Wed evening woold work! & Anita, don't move! I'll come to yew. I jst mention meeting in Qwartzite since that's the "bigger" city I know--let me know where yew are & I'll head that way! Will PM yew, bt plan on me being there Fri noonish???

Martha, sownds like we are travelers akin--I never make a reserv for cg's when I'm on the road. Like BJ, Walmarts, Rest Areas, etc, are jst fine! Hope Elsie recovers soon so yew can do more than camp in yore driveway :( ! How's Winnie doing--feeling better I hope? & Toby doing well in school? ;)

Speaking of dogs, I may be adopting another  Staying with my friend in Mesa, & she has her DD's 10yo little min-pin that's getting "lost" in her "family" of 4 other dogs! Long story, bt looks like I might take her, bt trying to determine if I can handle three on the road--she's a small sweet thing, bt a darter & already have that worry with Ape. Any advice???

Another cp of coffee spending my day with another former neighbor! WINDY here making the 46 degress feel colder than that! Y'all have a great day & be safe wherever! :P

Good morning all,
Sun is bright! Supposed to get up to the 40's today - woohoo!!
Decided to splurge & fixed sausage gravy this morning - even without anyone else here! Such a decadent treat! I put in on multi-grain toast trying to keep it a bit healthy    Anyway, I'll have it for the week now... :D
Kids went back to Lawrence last night - after some grocery shopping including a run to Sam's for lower cost alcohol. I keep telling them they'll be on their own next year to enjoy my indulgences while they can. I know they do. Again, two sweeter kids have never existed! :D Going to miss them like crazy!
Carolb,
Funny you mention taking on another pup... My DIL is constantly' 'liking' a rescue dog on FB - she looks like a younger version of my Sierra. They think she's a Belgian/German Shepherd mix. The real clincher is her name is MaQ - my BFF & her family call me MamaQ. So tempting but not sure I should take in such a young one (about a year old) while I'm still working - not sure how long Sierra will be around to keep the new one company. Also not sure Sierra wants company. So I can't be much help to you - I'm as confused as you are... :?
Soos,
You might want to talk to a DR about what's going on with you... might not be anything, but then again....
Ava, Loving your old photos - keep 'em coming.
Liz, Love this from your post
"I notice all the azaleas are in full bloom around town. Sure sign of Spring."

Thanks for these words of reassurance.

Well, I'd better get ...
Hope everyone gets done whatever you've planned for today - and if not, then at least enjoy the day 'as is'. :D

Where has February gone? That old saying that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer to the end that faster it goes is certainly true! Funny that eight hours at work can seem like an eternity but a month seems to slip by in a minute never ceases to amaze me!
So much activity with everyone on here with GTGs, new places and new rigs.

Nothing much new here. Guess that’s why I only post weekly or bi-monthly. It’s still cold and we had some snow this week but nothing like other places. Looks like we’re in for another week of possible storms. We need the moisture, I just hate the uncertainty of getting to work or getting home from work. I, for one, don’t want to have to spend the night in a prison!

The progressive supper that we planned has been postponed until later. How much later we don’t know. All of us thought that once our kids had left home we’d have more time for things like that but it seems that there is always something that throws a wrench in our plans.

Last night my friend Missy and I went to see Guilt Trip. I have always been a fan of Barbra Streisand’s music and movies. Previews can be deceiving. It was alright, but I guess I was expecting more of a slap stick type comedy.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful week.

Chilly here and breezy, so I'm hoping it'll warm up here later. Had a nice breakfast with my daughter at Coco's this morning. They have raspberry specials this month, I had a coupon, so off we went. The raspberry pancakes were really good. That makes 2 days in a row for pancakes so guess I'm good to go on pancakes for a while.

Have to clean the rv today, Tues. her and the car go in to the rv hospital to find out why the battery on the car goes dead when towing. They were supposed to have taken care of that problem last year before I left. Needless to say, when I got to my son's house and couldn't get the transfer case out of neutral because the battery was dead, I was not a happy camper! So, since I've been busy and so have they since I got home in Nov., it's just now getting around to being addressed. As long as it's done before April.

That's about it from this part of the world....hope everyone has a perfectly wonderful day!

Soos, I really liked Kathy and hope the talking about the package delivery was a start. I had a GREAT time on the trip, and all of you are such great friends. But after a month or so of driving, plugging and unplugging, and such Im ready for home. I hope there are others in the group like me but dont know. You all have a SAFE and FUN day. Wendy

I like Kathy, too, Wendy, but was shocked to find out she hates me! I was dumfounded, and didn't know what to do or say. I really thought she was having a fun time down here living together. I must have missed some important signs of discontent, or something.

I get tired of hooking up and unhooking, too, Wendy, but I am nowhere near ready to head home for another couple of months or more. It was really fun seeing you again, and Pepper, too, who has become a very good camper! I am seriously looking at Class Bs now, as I guess I don't need any more room than just enough for me and pups. (And, of course grandkids who can sleep just about anywhere!) If I find a decent used one with few miles that has been taken good care of, I will trade both truck and trailer for one at this point.
