GOOD MORNING ALL!

Yes indeedy February certainly has gone by fast! This time speeding-up-thing as my birthdays come and go simply has to STOP!

Another beautiful day here in Orlando, with birds singing, (Ilove hearing cardinals as we don't have those sweet songs back in the Adirondacks) nice breeze off the pond, and record-breaking temps forecast for this afternoon.

After my son decided it is my converter that is not working any more in the trailer's 12 volt DC power pack supply (as I had thought) I ordered another converter from Amazon who had the exact model I need and at the best price. Camping World doesn't even carry the name brand or model that I need. So, it should arrive in 3 to 5 business days, and can't be too soon for me. I am having it shipped to the trailer as that's where I'll be for this next week. In the meantime, I need to decide how I will charge my batteries until it gets here. I need 12 volt power to run the signal booster on my TV antenna. Sigh----I have a battery charger back at home in the mountains, but none down here.

Today will be a day of waiting and swimming at the pool. Also plan a dog walk to Shingle Creek.

Happy Saturday to you all!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Having coffee in my HB in my friend's driveway, as my AZ friend is not the early riser that I am. That's the best part of having my own home, tho, right? Don't have to worry abowt bothering any of the people I'm staying with. Took the dogs for a nice walk arownd my old neighborhood yesterday afternoon--hasn't changed mch, a few homes look better, a few needing some attention. A little excitement right before I got here--a SWAT raid in the howse across from my old howse! The sweet old cople had died a few years ago, & their kids/grandkids evidently terned it into a meth lab!!!! Neighbors had been emailing me for years abowt their efforts to get something done. Finally looks like it'll be taken care of!

Hey Red, how's the cleaning going? BJ, the latest on Elsie? Bridgework on yew? Anita, fewse problems? Will see yew this weekend! :D

Need to take time to see all the pix from all the gtg's. Irmi, yo're on qwite a roll entertaining all the reternees from the Keys! Can't get cooking any better than at "Irmi's Kitchen"--hey, yew shoold open a restr!

Y'all have a great day & be safe wherever yew are! 8-)

Good Morning ladies
just a tad cold this morning, but turned the little heater on high for these next couple hours while
I enjoy MC and plan my day. I'm still amazed at how much is still left of my last paycheck when only
little chunks are taken out for necessities, I'm so glad I will never have to go through that again with
making two payments of a major purchase. I have so many options now :D it still just boggles my
mind.
Will try to meet up with Carolb sometime this week, most likely just a quick meeting after work. I
do have two early release days coming up, wed and thurs. Doctors appt on wed, but if ya read this
carol...what do ya have going on Thurs?
Really need to clean my room today and do some organizing. Will get my shed next weekend and
hopefully it will be put together by next sunday evening. Then I can start stowing my tubs in
there that I have organized in my room. Which, in turn, means I can start emptying out the rv for
the carpet rip out. With spring break right around the corner, I'd like to accomplish 3 of my projects.
(tile, toilet and carpet rip out) And of course more if I have the stamina.
Gracie didn't eat breakfast this morning, she's having tummy issues again. But the breakfast didn't go
to waste, Pixie, the glutton that she is cleaned up the dish and they both went back to bed.
Time for a coffee refill and a banana then its off to catch up on email and other stuff. Ya'll have a
great day, be safe and be warm.

Good Morning
How can Feb be over so soon? It is like the whole month rushed by like a raging waterfall.
Just said good by to Wendy. She was getting homesick so decided to head back toward AL this AM. We've been on the road together a little over a month.
I've got to walk Nicky and start packing up too only I'm just going a short distance up to Irmi's campground. I've really been slowly inching my way north. Nicky is doing better tho he still has a slightly upset digestive track problem.
Kathleen you are doing so well. Keep up the good work; very proud of you.
Guess I'd better get moving. I've already made one mess this morning - spilled wet coffee grounds.
Have a great day.

Good morning everyone.

Soos, does anyone around you have a battery charger you could borrow for a few days?

Red, it is amazing where dust can get in our rigs. I cannot wait to see RED at some point.

Lori, enjoy your rainy day. It's supposed to start raining here tomorrow.

Ava, you are such an inspiration. If there is anyway to get all three of your projects finished during Spring Break, I know you will do it.

Carolb, it is wonderful to have your home always with you, isn't it. :)

Kathleen, you are doing fantastic. I need to get some of your resolve and lose the extra pounds I carry around with me.

Sarah, will see you in a few minutes when you bring Nicky up here on your walk. I can fix you another cup of coffee if you want. You are traveling in a great way. Little hops and great visits.

I am sitting here finishing my second cup of coffee. I have been down to get a hug from Wendy before she heads out. Sarah is going to bring Nicky to my site before she leaves so I will get to see her one more time before she heads for Ocala to spend some time with Irmi and Steve before she begins her trek north. Will get my hug from Sarah then. I am sure going to miss them both. Hopefully, I will get to meet up with them again sometime in the future.

I have lots of errands to run today. I need to go to Lowe's and pick up a few things for a super friend so I can get the mailed to her next week. From there, I want to get a manicure and a pedicure before we start heading west. It will probably be several weeks before I can get my nails done again. Then it's on to Walmart to pick up a few things I need. My rope lights have finally bit the dust. They only light up for about 2 feet now. I've only had them for at least 6 or 7 years. I also need to get a small desk lamp because I have another light fixture that has decided to quit working. When I can finally get my warranty issues fixed, I am glad it is only a few light fixtures that need to be addressed. Other than dinner with our Aunt tomorrow, I am glad I will have a few days to get my rig cleaned back up before we leave since it is supposed to rain from Sunday to Wednesday. Good reason not to have little trips planned everyday.

I hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning,

A cool, cloudy 57 F this morning in the Butte. I am waiting for it to warm up and the sun to show itself (as predicted for later this morning) to get some work done around the homestead.

Have a great day everyone!

Sarah, are you giving nicki bottled water or tap water? My dogs used to get upset tummies from local tap water when we traveled, so I started bringing several gallons from home and when that ran out I would buy them bottled water. Seemed to help.

Downright cold here in SoCal, but supposed to warm up a bit today. Off to have breakfast with a former rv'er and good friend from Escondido. I only see her once or twice a year, usually around birthday times. Her and her DH used to meet me out at the sand dunes for some R & R. And that's not Rest and Relaxation, it's Roaring and Racing!!

Have a good day and try and stay out of trouble!!

Good morning, another sunny cold day here but at least the snow/ice is gone. I did finally hear that Elsie does need an alternator :( :( I may have to camp in my driveway this year, but hopefully she is good to go with so many new parts. I finally found someone to give me a recommendation about a local dentist that I'm going to talk to ASAP about the bridge work I need. So many of the local dentists have recently retired it has taken awhile. It involves FIVE teeth so it is also going to eat into the budget even though we have dental insurance. Oh well, got to keep the economy going ;)
Sounds like the group in Florida is scattering I was wondering where Wendy was, safe journeys to all on the road. Have a fun weekend.

Good morning all,
It's so good hearing what you're up to - GTGs, listening to the cardinals sing, warm weather escapades, new rigs, packing up, moving on to the new stop. I just have to tell you that this forum is what keeps the dream alive... the hope of one day getting away... those of us still working 8-5 know our day will come when we'll get to join in on the fun, but for now - THANKS! to each of you allowing us to share in your daily coming & goings.... might be simple stuff to you, but it means the world to the rest of us... ;)

Baby girl (ok, she's 22) & BF are here for the day. Had dinner with them, his mom (my BFF) & baby sister. Need to cherish these days as they excitedly talk about their plans after graduation - Gaby looking at CA, B (her BF) looking at grad school either in CA or staying here in KS. They are absolutely the sweetest kids ever!!!! :D (no bias at all)  I'm ready for them to strike out on their own, but they've been such a huge part of my life - I'm going to need a bunch of RV ladies to fill in the empty space (woohoo!! :D :D :D :D ) Btw, Dawn, Gaby is very excited about getting that little washer & spin dryer! Her clothes are so delicate I think they will be perfect for her. :)

Today's plan revolve around them - shopping for groceries is always high on the list.
Hoping the sun will help to melt a bit of the snow as more is supposed to come our way Monday morning.
Stay safe on your travels & soak up those warm rays for us if you can!

Good Morning everyone,

Gosh, everybody's up and at em this morning. Well, I've been up since around 7:30 amd finally decided to roll out of bed. I was enjoying the luxury of actually sleeping for almost 6-7 hours for the first time since the issue with my back started. Once I took my pain pill, I was pain free all night. I'm only taking it at night right now and for awhile there, thought maybe I wasn't even going to bother with it last night, but yeah, wound up with it anyway. I'm using an Icy?Hot cream that I got from my Chiropractors office on my back and it has helped a lot. Plus I am also starting to do some exercies to stretch the back and muscles etc. I'm feeling pretty good this morning. But of course I need to remind my self to not over do it here. I stil have restrictions of what i can't do. Had my breakfast, then washed up the dishes, got myself cleaned up and dressed and then did my exercises. Nothing like laying on the floor doing stretching exercies, whie your dog is licking your nose and trying to figure out what the heck you are doing  Just now came in for a little snowblooing episode out back. Cleared out an erea for the dogs to take care of "business" back there and also pushed some of the snow aside on the deck. That's enough. Time to stop. A freind is coming over today to run my cac aruond the house for me :) So I'm content

Sounds like evrybody's ready for spring. Same here. I look out my window at gray skies and a few snowflakes falling. There's abut 2 feet of snow on the ground here roughly and I was thinking yesterday, that if we hadn't had those two big thaws that took the snow pack down to almost bare ground, there would easily be 3-4 feet of snow out there. We still have March to go through, and after that things will start to moderate although it's not unusual for us to see snow flakes on Mother's Day

Paulette, I am so exceited for you. A new rig. How fantastic. Going to be anxiously awaiting the pictures. And Red, you are getting ready to switch over to your new set of wheels too. Congratualtions ladies.

Sounds like the winter of GTG's is windng down as foks start trekking homeward. But a summer of un is awaiting too. I'm really getting antsy to get back on the road myself and am trying to figure out how i can afford to do it right now. There is a neat looking little Shasta MH over at the dealer near me here that I hav been eying for awhile. On Consignment. But I don't want to take on any more payments as I currently am making lease payments on my Flex.

This back issue has me rethinking retirement plans. After having had a stressful summer at the park, I just don't want to deal with it this year. So I'm kind of a mind to not go back. If I can get into the other park that I had wanted to do last year but backed off cause of finances and gas prices, I will go that route, but if not. I quit. A lot of people have told me that I should take a summer off. i"m contemplating putting my S&B up for sale, I have a lot of work to do around here expecially with outsdie clean up after the big snowstorm in December and with this back, I haven't been able to do anything in my house. Had planned to be doing spring cleaning and going through stuff right now. :| Am really hoping that I get some refund back on my taxes so I can head north again later next month for a few days.

Ms. Tessa got mixed reviews from the vet yesterday. Some of her readings are doing good, but her pottasium levels are a bit low and she still has bacterial infection. So she will stay on the meds for that and also just a tad increase in the potassium. She has been eating which is good. Not a lot but better than nothing. Some tmes will clean the bowl and other times maybe half. She's lost another pound as well, which is the way of this kidney disease. But becasue she is still alert, kind of acting like her old self most of the time and generally doing okay, we have concurred that she isn't ready to leave this world just yet. Will see where we stand in a couple of weeks. Right now she's out on my deck starting at me through the door with a "let me in" look on her face

Kathleen, congrats on the weight loss. My diet has kind of gotten sidetracked with my pain issues etc. But I'm starting to get back on track this weekend. Anita, sorry you are having one of those "Murphy" days. Hopefully all well be back in shape shortly.

Well, enough jabbering here. Time to get moving and read some other posts. You all have a wonderful day.

I agree with Catherine, just fun to read all the goings on!

February being over means my daughters are having birthdays - the younger one turning 40 this year. How can that be?!?

At least the sun is shining and the day should be warmer! I have no idea where to start! LeRoy did a couple things in here for me that required moving things plus with that going on, I haven't put away the clothes I brought from storage. I have a stack of stuff to go to storage. Keep in mind there isn't much room in here to begin with!! Plus the laundry has piled up - big time! Truck needs to be cleaned out and back seat rearranged. Argh!

Red, I am still cleaning up Alaska dirt!!

Carolb, just keep me in the loop as to your plans for next weekend. I am pretty flexible, but if I am meeting you in Q, I have to get the camper ready to roll. Sitting in one place for a long while, I just get everything out so I don't move on the spur of the moment! :) I'm looking forward to seeing you!

After figuring out the furnace not running was my error, I still talked with the factory rep about why it won't quit on its own at times. Their list of service centers on the website is obsolete so he did finally figure out they had a couple in Quartzsite. I am still under warranty so will be making an appointment.

Kathleen, the weight loss, no matter how slow, is a big accomplishment. I tried to get back on track last week - thought I was doing pretty well, but that isn't what the scales say! :(

Ava, looking forward to hearing of your progress!

I probably have a new name by some in the park. I got so tired of people walking through my site right next to the slideout, I put out a deterrent! It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have noisy gravel and they could 'sneak' by or if they walked on the far side. I know it has worked with one couple already. I bet at least 20 trips were made through here yesterday.

Hope all have a good day.
