Slippery Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Slippery Friday

Postby havingfunnow » Fri Feb 22, 2013 9:26 am

I can't believe I'm the first! This is my first time to start morning coffee. :D

I figure you all are either very busy or sleeping in like crazy. If you were here, sleeping in would make sense, because there's freezing rain out there. Luckily it's slowing down, and the salt trucks are out. I'm supposed to meet friends for lunch, so they'd better get those roads cleared!

Happy First Coffee to all!

A Good Morning Welcome from snowy Normal... everything is pretty and white... have coffee this morning and my oatmeal is cooking...
It was nice to go out with my neighbor yesterday... we went to Olive Garden and had soup and salad... that is always good... then we went to UPS to mail a couple of packages I had then we drove by Anglers Manor a senior place that she had not looked at before... a quiet afternoon...
My daughter Margie got me some groceries yesterday and she is coming over this morning to fill out some papers that I do not under stand...
Keep warm everyone and have a great day...

Good Morning,

Things are going wrong right and left here - nothing serious, just annoying!! This, too, shall pass.

Furnace wouldn't turn off last night until I pulled the fuse. This has happened before, but this time it won't restart - repairman will get a call. At least it didn't happen while I was boondocking!!

LeRoy is working on a project for me that didn't end well - glad this was his idea! He put a kit on my propane water heater so it can also be run on electricity. Yesterday he wired a switch in for it which meant moving everything out of his way so I really have a mess in here now. He finished about 4 o'clock and the switch didn't work. Tracing back, it looks like a hard to get to connection is the culprit. He will be back this morning.

It is still cold here, but today there is sun and blue sky!

Happy travels, visiting or whatever you are doing today!

Good morning all, we had sleet, snow, freezing rain yesterday but not too much accumulation, nothing like over in Kansas! Thankfully it warmed up during the night so all roads are clear and it will be gone by noon.
Some guy has registered at a dating site called Plenty of Fish using my email address and I keep getting mail from young girls wanted to meet me  This has been going on for several months and I'm not sure whether to go in and delete the account or just keep sending them to junk mail. If I go to their site to delete it I'd have to put my email account in & get a new password. Guess since they already have the email address it won't matter but I'm still hesitant. I also wonder if two people could have the same gmail address or if they just made a type-o when signing up.
Finally heard from the repair shop and Elsie does need an alternator :( :( sure hope this is the last of her problems!!!
Katherine, ask your daughter to explain the papers again that she wants you to sign, sometimes it's hard to get every detail the first time. Glad you had a good time with your friend yesterday.
I think I'll call a friend today to see if she wants to get out and go some ,place, any where is fine with me I had to stay in yesterday so definitely have cabin fever today.

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's warm, sunny, and beautiful here in Orlando again today, with temps supposed to climb into the mid-80s by this afternoon. There is a beautiful breeze blowing into the open doors from the pond, and all's right with the world.

I spent most of the day yesterday at the trailer cleaning off the battery terminals and wire ends, reconnected everything, and waited for the indicator to tell me the batteries were getting charged. NADA! So now I am quite sure it is my converter that is not working as it should when I am plugged into shore power. I have no clue how much that will cost to replace/repair, or even where to take it to get the work done. My manual says it is supposed to trickle charge when plugged in, but how slow should that be? I waited for about two hours to see if the level was increasing on my guage, but nothing. It was sitting on the lowest setting all day. (Had dropped from 1/3 charge to Low by the time I got there yesterday.) If I were to plug in my truck as if hauling, and rev the engine for a while, should I see some evidnce of charging, or does that require that the converter work too?

So I came back here for the weekend as there is stuff I need to do here, also. The dogs and I will go for some walks, and I plan to ride my bike to the pool and spa this afternoon.

Anita it sounds as if you are having quite the time! Sure hope you get your furnace thing figured out/fixed. I am again looking at used Class Bs for me to trade in my truck and trailer for. Sure would be nice if I could afford a new one, but know that would be impossible unless they give me a wicked trade-in! So am searching the used lists.

I hope all is going well with the rest of you today, and that your weather would be even a fraction as nice as it is right here.

Happy travels!

Chilly here, but at least the sun is shining and there's none of that ugly white stuff on the ground. Evie picked me up at the Ford dealership Wed in Hemet to go to breakfast and I couldn't believe how low the snow level was around us. (we live in a valley) The lowest I've ever seen it.

Not really a lot going on around here, kind of boring for the most part. Have to go into Moreno Valley this morning to get the Chewmonsters meds, but that's it. Hope everyone has a great day and travel safe if you're on the road. And if not? Try and stay warm and safe!

Good afternoon everyone. It's cold here in md...and I'm so sick of it! Come on Spring! Well, I have some exciting news here...I went to the rv show today and traded Fred in for a Winnebago Access Premier! It's the 26QP and has everything I was looking for in a smaller rig! I figure Winnebago has been around forever, and I'm hopeful that I will get out and about more in this rig than the big bus. It has a lot of convenient features too, and the big plus, lots of outside storage. That's the hard part of downsizing is where to put the chairs and the kayak! Ha! Well, once I take possession I will post pictures. Just wanted to share my news. I'm so excited! And, it was a good deal too, although I was hoping for more on my trade, but being realistic I know that the next person who buys it will get a good deal! Paying it forward maybe?
