Been using AOL for many years for email and hometown info - pretty much works okay except the Banda Ancha here in Mexico doesn't like AOL so here I'm using IE with MSN as my home page and or Google Chrome with my blog as my home page. They all have a favorite button bar that I like.

I can't use something like Comcast as I don't have home internet service. I use my phone as a hotspot.

Janet, I want more than just a search engine so Bing wouldn't work for me.

I had my old Yahoo page set to bring up my mail, finance for my stocks and I had chosen what types of news stories were loaded to my page. I, too, HATE the new Yahoo. Maybe I will try MSN.

Thanks for your input ladies. Now I have to learn Photobucket all over again. Why can't the damn techies leave things alone and stop twiddling with them.

Have you tried "My Yahoo". I haven't seen any changes on it and it is totally customisable.

I use Google, I like that they don't have anything but the search bar and a Google emblem. I don't like MSN, too much advertising and I never read news article they are nearly always depressing or sports related. I Google everything, health, finance, computer problems, my left toe hurts  etc, I don't think I've ever asked a question that someone else hasn't already asked. And yes, I know much of what in online is no true but you can get a pretty good idea on most issues. For all the sites I visit regularly I have bookmarked.

Mine goes to CNN because I like to check the news. Just click where I want to go from there.

I use Goggle. I like it because I am always looking up information for garedning, sewing , knitting, dogs, cats etc. Sites I frequent are on my favorites list.

Yes, I went to "my yahoo" and had to "sign up". When I read their disclosure that would have access to almost everything I did on my computer I decided it was way too intrusive. I like having current news presented to me as I don't subscribe to any newspapers. From looking at the comment sections on Yahoo I'm not the only one who HATES the new setup. I didn't see any favorable comments.
