Cold Monday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cold Monday Morning

Postby Irmi » Mon Feb 18, 2013 7:24 am

Good morning everyone!

Woke up to 25 degrees this morning in Ocala! Ack!!! Steve disconnected the hose yesterday evening and for the next couple hours we'll be using the water in our fresh water tank. But last night was the last night with below freezing temperatures until the next cold snap. The sun is coming up over the trees so between the heater and Mother Natures help, it'll warm up in here. It's hard to believe that by the end of the week we'll be in the 80's again.

Received a text from Carolb this morning that she is in Carlsbad NM and doesn't have cell service but wanted us to know she is fine. She has definitely put a lot of miles behind her since she left last week.

I made the Deep Dish Crockpot Pizza recipe yesterday which is posted in the recipe forum and it was mighty good. Will definitely be making that again. Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all. It is overcast and cloudy. However it is already 60. Wow, Carolb is already in NM. Glad she is stopping there. I loved the Caverns on our last trip. We are getting ready to head down and test drive the Fleetwood at 9 and then we'll be out of that contract and get our deposit back. Then off to the Tiffin dealer to see about getting into a contract for the Allegro RED. How perfect is that?? The Model is called RED. RED 33aa. I know it stands for Rear Engine Diesel, but I think it's a message that this is the right one for me cuz my nick name has been Red most of my life which has more to do with the color of my hair than anything about my rear end

Wishing everyone a glorious day. Hope it warms back up in FL for y'all enjoying that mostly sunny winters. If you're on the road, stay safe. Aloha y'all

GOOD MORNING IRMI AND ALL WHO FOLLOW!

I had a great dinner last night at Crabby Bill's on the lakefront (although too dark and too cold to sit out on the deck by the lake so we dined inside!) with great company----Linda, Sandy, Sarah, and Wendy! We had a delicious meal and some good gabbing! Today they are going to see some manatees, and I am going home to get some papers and bills to pay while Kathy is out looking at homes for sale or to rent. Then I will come back here until I know she has moved out, which I hope for us both is sooner rather than later. I also need to pick up my warmer sleeping bag and some more clothes.

I hope this will be the last of the colder weather for this winter, although I must say this was the nicest and warmest winter as a whole that I have ever lived anywhere. Our FL weather has been picture-perfect this year. The rest of the nation has experienced quite another winter!

Hope you will all have a good day wherever your wheels or feet take you.

good morning ladies
well, it is currently 48 degrees and I've got my little heater going until after sun up. It always gets colder
as the sun rises but will warm up to a comfortable 75 today.
My day will be consumed with daughter while we shop for dresses. Hoping Jack gets to tag along too.
Oldest grandson has been here all weekend with his dog that keeps me holed up in my room. :( :o
Its a scary dog and it just drives Gracie crazy and that in turn drives me crazy so it will be good to
get out today. Grandson is learning how to bondo and fix dents and stuff on his car. I expect before
too long it will have a new paintjob.
Off to cruise through a few posts and fb and then jump in shower. Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Irmi, we have frost all over everything here this morning. Ack is right. The sun is out, so it should disappear pretty soon. I am going to have to try Zee's recipe for crockpot pizza too.

Red, have fun with the test drive to cancel the contract. You should be able to find things you just don't like. :P You are right, the Tiffin is very aptly named.

Soos, I am really glad you all had a really good dinner. Tell Kathy good luck on her hunt for a house.

Ava, have fun shopping for the dresses. That is not fun being holed up in your room, so hopefully your day today will be great.

I am going to buckle down and get my chores done today. Didn't get any done yesterday since I was working on getting the shelves I needed to put up in the bathroom so I could have all my makeup and hair products within easy reach. I was really happy with the results. They should ride just fine so I won't have to move anything there when driving. We'll see tomorrow when I take Sunshine and Hissy FIT over to have the baseplate and braking system installed. Need to go to Winn Dixie for groceries today too. Wendy and Sarah are due in tomorrow and so will be cooking again. It will be good for me.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning... it is cold and to boot the furnace quit working... I keep lighting the fire place but it goes off in about 5 minutes... The park is trying to find someone to come fix it... Oh when it gets that cold Irmi it is burrrrr even in FL....
We stayed nice and warm in bed Shadow and I slept until about 5:30 then I realized something was wrong with the heat... much better night...
We are suppose to get to 50 later today and they say an abundance of sunshine...
Red I am getting excited for you!! hope it all works out... Soos that sounds like a great dinner even if I am not a sea food person the company would have been great...
Not sure what is on the agenda for today just the broken furnace...
Take care everyone...

Good Morning,

I am back in Salome. By the time I backed into my site, LeRoy had come out - he got the leveling blocks in place, hooked up water and electric. Then we had 'Christmas' with all the packages from my online shopping that had come while I was gone! Within the first hour back, I really knew why I liked boondocking - dogs barking, people yelling, quads cruising - just a lot of noise! I did play the board game last night and we had a lot of good laughs!

Today is to be the last nice day for a bit so we will go quad riding. So far my sore throat has gone so thinking maybe it was allergies tho I have no idea as to what!

Red, I thought of you as I drove past all the MH deals in Quartzsite yesterday.

Dawn, I am afraid to look at the websites for your laundry 'tools' - I have absolutely no space for anything else :(

Irmi, Lori, Kathleen, brrrr - Kathleen, hope they get your heat up and running quickly.

Ava, the shopping will be fun!

Soos, that roomie arrangement didn't last long! I totally understand tho.

Everyone have a good day!!
