Maybe we need a "can I vent" section

I see no need for a separate "vent" thread. Probably would not read it.

And we can always wander over to the campfire, jump in the near by hot tub with a chilled glass of our favorite adult beverage and vent away.

I think we all do a great job of venting when the need arises in the various threads. I like it that the threads go back and forth from venting to funny depending on the day for all of us.

I have no problem venting in the general thread or in the campfire thread and I think the times I've vented I always
put something about venting in the title so if anyone wanted to pass over it they could.

I agree... Just think how much work it would be for Beth to be constantly moving things in & out of the venting category as the highjacking on the thread takes on a life of it's own. :D

After all we are women & can go from low to high & back again all within 1 post

Plus I don't view using the categories, I just click on 'view active topics' & cruise away... so my vote is to 'Keep it simple, sistas...'

PS. I love you all - your ventings, journeys, laughter & trials fill out my day! Heck, I'd have to work on the house if I didn't need to spend so much time here.

Campfire would probably have more posts if it was directly on the main Board Index, the same as the Morning Coffee, instead of under General Talk. I've always considered Campfire to be the evening version of Morning Coffee.

I also don't think a separate "room" is necessary I rarely go to the other forums unless something
is said that peeks the interest and go to check them out

Campfire would have lost it's uniqueness if it was on the main board - as then it would have required new threads ... instead it is the longest going thread. And will stay where it is. And how it is.

Like some others, I don't read based on the room in many cases ... I read based on what's new since I was on last.
