Readytotry - Had to laugh about Winnie eating your flowers. My ShihTzu, Rags LOVES to eat flowers - especially the red Hibiscus on the side of the house. He's been doing it for years so I guess it won't hurt. LOL

A little late posting here today but I had an appt. at DMV to get my license renewed this morning and then some shopping in Hemet. For some reason I didn't get my renewal in the mail, so I went online yesterday and made an appt for this morning. Sure did make the folks standing in the long line angry when I went to the head of the line. That's where they send you when you have an appt. The guy that was actually next in line threw his paperwork at the guy handing out the numbers and gave me a dirty look. I just looked at him and said Problem? You should have made an appt! Guess it's a good thing there's an armed guard there.

Anyway, beautiful gorgeous sunshiney day here and I'm sure lovin' it! We canceled the trip to Dumont for the sand drags, it was gonna be really cold up there and Ali's husband had some things he had to get done and so did I. We've got sand drags about 20 miles from here at Soboba Casino so I'll probably make it over to those on March 1st.

Red, looked at pictures of of the Tiffin you looked at, sure is purty!! BJ, you need to post a larger picture so we can really see it! Anita, you're having way to much fun by yourself, I should have come with you to keep you out of trouble. LOL! Hope everyone else is doing well and staying healthy. I got my Louisiana travel mag in the mail and am already getting excited about hitting the road in June.

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

Wendy and I had what should have been an easy drive yesterday back to Pembrook Pines. Things were going smoothly until just south of US Hwy 41 intersection where our nice back road was closed. Wendy and Liz had run into a closure on Hwy 997 on the way to the Keys so Wendy assumed it was still closed from a week ago and reset her GPS. I didn't want in the heavy traffic, toll roads, etc so pulled into large parking lot to look for an alternate route. After killing about half hour, I decided to go back to see if 997 had been reopened. Police were removing their cars as I got there so made it with no problem. My guardian angle was watching again.
The park here is full; even the primitive camping area. Lucky again; my site is a pull thru along far back edge of campground and only about 4 sites from a bath house. Had a wonderfully long shower just before dark.
For the first time, the weather here is getting to me. Record high heat yesterday with matching humidity; just about the same today so A/C is running. Rain forecast but missed us so far. Will move a tiny bit more to the north tomorrow and hoping not to do that in rain. Big cool down and lower humidity after front goes by. Cannot complain however as the weather over past 3 weeks has been near perfect.
Was up in time to see sun rise before clouds got it this AM and Nicky and I got in several little walks before it got too hot.
We had to nix plan to go over to Melbourn. Not having advance reservations in south FL during snowbird season and with holiday weekend everything was full. We forgot about Presidents Day. Will know better next time. However we did find place near Okeechobee and to our surprise no blackout dates on Passport America.

Have a good day and eat a piece of chocolate to celebrate tonight.

I had a mini GTG with Carolb in Lafayette this morning. We ate(of course), talked and toured Vermilionville. I think it's called a living history museum. A bunch of cajun or acadian houses and buildings you can tour to see how people lived in the 1800's. So glad I got to meet her.

Sharon, I can't wait to see what you have planned for us this year.

Oh what bewtifol Valentines! Yes, happy day to all, & I had a great one--spending time with Martha! A perfect valentine for me And I may end the day with Red if this traffic dies down. BJ, I love the one yew got with yore 4-leggers on it, bt why did Winnie have only a stem???

Now, it's 8:30 PM PM PM! Yikes, after 7 pm, my mind terns to m-sh!!!! Bt I wanted to say I'm sorry if I missed anyone along the way that was willing to have a mini gtg I have internet on my phone, and I get notifications if I get PM's. So that's the best way to contact me, since I don't get online all that often when I'm on the road. Drove 500 miles yesterday--bt it was a great day. Today, only 250 & maybe a few more if I go to Reds Gotta go, gps Red's address or find a Walmart! Sis calling me to find owt where I am! See y'all in the morning!
