Warm Wednesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warm Wednesday Morning

Postby Irmi » Wed Feb 13, 2013 6:27 am

Good morning everyone!

It's starting off very mild this morning. It's already 72 and we'll get to 82 this afternoon with a 60% chance of rain. It's going to be a quiet day here today. If it's not raining too hard, I may just sit outside and read. I finished a Janet Evanovich book yesterday and today will start one by Stuart Woods.

Coffee is on and sausage & biscuits are ready, so help yourself. Have a good day everyone and those traveling, be safe.

Good Morning All

Hard to believe it is time to turn around and head north already. Our time in the Keys has been wonderful. Will miss all the good company as we go our separate ways plus the constant ocean breeze and bright starry night sky.

Stay safe.

Good Morning from the 45th,

Weather seems to be the topic this morning. Cloudy here with temps around 23. Supposed to be a fairly nice day with some snow and highs in 30's, but more snow heading this way for tomorrow. and then lake effect for the rest of the week.

Irmi, I'll be you and Steve are glad that your are where you are and not at home getting snowed on. Looks like more snow was heading for the Northeast again. Hey, maybe this spring you can go home and not have to fight water this time. Wouldn't that be great. We have a river that starts about 50 miles south of hear and meanders southwest for quite a while before it empities into Lake MIchigan near the city of Muskegeon. Usually always causes problems in spring. Earlier this month when we had some heavy rains, it sweeled the river with melting snow and huge chunks of ice started moving down river. It caused flooding to a number of homes and formed an ice dam causing more flooding. Not only are those poor folks contending with flooded homes, they also have ice piled against them, plus the drop in temps is causing everything to freeze so I am sure the insides of their homes are probably all ice by now cause none of their furnaces are working.

Well, house is cleaned up as much as I'm going to do and as much as my back will allow for now. I somehowe twisted it and wound up going to my chiroporactor to have it adjusted. She warned me not to do any vacuming or snow shoveling yesterday. I think I probably moved wrong when I was painting the bathroom cause I had my step ladder in the bathtub and had to work sideways to paint above the shower wall. Who knows. It's starting to feel better this morning and gym class is coming up in a little while. She said that wuold be good for it. Then home for some lunch, clean off the counters and tidy ujp a little as the Real Estate agents are coming this afternoon to go over the place. After that I don't hav eanything on my agenda.

I'm enjoying reading about the GTG in the keys and all the plans everybody has for later this spirng and summer, on both coasts. Makes me want to get out there and join you. I took my application back over to Otsego yesterday so I will have a job for this summer again. There are only 4 of us from last year who have returned them so far. But rest have till March 9th to do it. I really didn't want to go back there this year, but need to make some money till my SS starts later this summer. If by chance a position comes open at another park I want to go to, I will make a switch.

Well, nothing much doing here, so will get off and let others post. Have a wonderful day all. Those of you who are heading out on the road, travel safe and enjoy the trip.

Yep, warm and wet in Sopchoppy but they say dry and cooler temps over the next few days. But warmer again after that. I figure anything is better than the weather up north. Just got here late yesterday so will get out and explore today. No TV reception here except PBS (that's good for Downton Abbey season finale on Sunday) but 46LTE on my mifi so I'm good to go.

Sausage and biscuits sound good. Hope I get to them before they're all gone.

Good morning everyone.

Irmi, I am kind of looking forward to a couple rainy days too. Glad you are getting some down time to read your books. Enjoy!

Sarah, I for one am looking forward to you and Wendy heading north. Cannot wait to see you guys again if you stop in here. The office said they normally have spaces they hold for people staying only a day or two. If there aren't any here, there are several CG's really close and I have the toad now, so can come get you or take you anywhere you want to go.

Horizonseeker, I cannot believe it is already the season finale for Downton Abbey. It just came on!

Sue, hope the chiropractor can get your back fixed where it doesn't hurt anymore and the real estate people give you pricing that allows you to follow your dreams.

Donna, I need to wash Sunshine too. I imagine I will wait until the rain is out of here. Will probably be after next Tuesday when they get it and Hissy Fit connected to tow.

KarenS, glad you had a great time with Carolb. She is a hoot.

Carold, enjoy that time with the GKs and stay warm.

I am not planning on doing much around here today except putter in the rig. I dug my afghan out last night to crochet on it again. There are some other things I want to make for Sunshine but I made a promise to myself when I was clearing out my craft room that I would not start anything until I finished the project I was working on. I had entirely too many projects "in progress". Plus I don't have the storage room to have a lot of partially completed projects. I do want to find some wallpaper borders for my bathroom and bedroom. Working on really personalizing my home on wheels. Will be searching online today to find just what I want.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning all. It is clear and chilly at 40 this morning. Not much going on here. Cleaning house, and catching up with mail and stuff. The dealer put the test drive of MH till Monday. Yesterday, DH & I went to lunch and stopped at Jeep dealer to see if he could fit into any of the Jeeps. Only the Grand Cherokee. He thinks I should trade my 05 Volvo wagon in on a car that we could use as a TOAD. But then I would have to get something big enough for him and that would not necessarily be my first choice. My other thought is to not tow and just rent a car at the destination. All the decisions can be overwhelming :P Everyone have a good day and be safe. Aloha y'all

GOOD LATE MORNING TO ALL!

It was supposed to get into the mid-80s here this morning, but heavy clouds and a strong breeze are keeping it much too cool for a pool swim before the anticipated rains storms of this afternoon. Soooo....have been working on bills and money stuff. ACK!

Those wondering where my house is for the GTG in August, I believe I have a map and instructions stored in the private room on my website, but I will look again and see when I get off here. I haven't had the time to update my website yet for this year's dates and all, but I promise to work on that this week! Richard just sent me the summer's schedule of bluegrass festivals, and I see that there is one the weekend of the 16th of August. If that week is the best for all to come to the Ruckus, I will not attend that one, unless others at the Ruckus would like to attend with me! So that also leaves the first full week in August, the 4th through the 10th, as a possible series of dates for the GTG.

Off I go to get Dinah's bed out of the dryer and see what is on the docket for today. Molly had her yearly doc checkup yesterday, and was pronounced healthy as ever. She also got squeezed and given shots and nail clipped.

My legs are still extrememly sore where they radiated them, but I am so hoping those are cells dying in agony.

Hope you all have a decent day wherever you may be. I will now go and check out the directions to the Ruckus in the private room, too.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good Morning,

Arrived at a good boondock spot near Quartzsite about 4 yesterday. Followed with TV on hulu.com, caramel vodka (yum) and a 1 hour call from LeRoy. I could stay here at least a week. Only thing drawing me back to Salome is nice weather and RZR rides!

No alarm clock this morning and slept until 9. Now if I could just figure out what to do first!!

I posted in General Talk about a young friend losing her vision. She is really on my mind and all the ways I can help her with her bucket list.

Wishing you all a great day no matter what life brings.

Just checking in here. I cancelled my cable and internet service for awhile so I am at the library right now. Will try to keep up on things going on here until I can get hooked up again. I am getting a lot done at home now that I can't be on my laptop all the time! I didn't realize how addicted I am to it!

Nothing much new up this way. Been pretty warm but we are in for another snowstorm early next week. We really need the moisture so no one is complaining.

Hope everyone is doing well and having fun!
