FL GTG 2013!

Let's get together!

 Maybe not, Mitch. My upside-down cake was doing pretty good until I opened the lid to check on it (yeah, I know that is a no no, but I did it anyway). Lid slipped right out of my hands and corner fell in the slow cooker on my cake, twice. Not sure how it is going to turn out after this little mishap, but it still smells good. Sister just headed to the grocery to buy fruit for tonight's potluck. Oh, well. Will post outcome after dinner. Bye.

It was such a wonderful gtg and the location was great. Hated to leave this morning but it is off to new adventures for at least 2 or 3 more weeks. We did leave about 6 members at Hillsborough to close up the gtg and finish off all those yummy leftovers tonight.

The nasty bug bites/blisters on my feet and ankles are beginning to look a bit better. Swelling has gone down some; I may be able to get my tennis shoes on by first of week. Used an entire tube of antibiotic cream and think I have escaped without any serious infections.

The drive today was a relatively easy one and even started without any giant butterflies jumping in my stomach.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!

Sarah I have your broom, down in the beachy area you might need it, tell Nicky he has to shake good OUTSIDE

Safe travels all, I personally had a FABULOUS time !!!

I made my 5 hour drive today Park here is very nice, but listened to 4 hours of cuban music. Such a repetitous beat...got old after 2 hours, pulling hair in 3rd hour and turned on AC vof the 4th hour and tv up...

Will be here two days on on southward, looking for the sun..

The gathering was a good one, had a great time. Sad to see everyone pull away, but there is next year!! Save those stories, that are only told at gatherings.

Thanks so much to all for making this GTG work for all, as we all got to choose what we wanted to do when we wanted to do it and how we wanted to do it! I believe that is the finest way to GTG----after all, we are mostly schedule-less these days, those of us who are retired, and some more unscheduled fun is the neatest way to visit, I believe, even if you have to retunr to a work schedule afterwards! I would not hesitate to plan another GTG in such an easy manner-----I had the bestest time ever!

Happy travels!

My final blog post of the GTG is done now.

Soos did a great job with the GTG. I don't think it could have been any more fun or successful. Thanks also for allowing us to hang out at your site so frequently. It was nice to meet Kathy too - bring her next time, the meatball sandwiches and corn were great. It was great to finally meet you, Soos, you are a special person.

Ok, it should work now. I didn't forget to publish, but I guess I didn't wait for it to finish.
