Watery Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Watery Wednesday

Postby Redwahine » Wed Feb 06, 2013 7:17 am

Yep its raining here. Not cold. In the upper 60s.Rain woke me and I couldn't go back to sleep. So up with a cup of coffee and started another load of laundry. Doesn't look like the mountain is getting any smaller  Tyler keeps coming to me and whining. I think he likes being able to run and chase things here in his yard, but he misses the one 2 one time when I walked him while traveling. So taking him for a long walk when it stops raining.

We are towing the Monty down to the dealer this morning to have them do warranty work again. Had to print out pictures of the non stop leak from our sewer connection. We had it at the dealers in Nov to fix the valve, but it still doesn't work. The grey tank will not hold water. This time I filled it with the hose through the kitchen sink and took a picture to show them that whatever they did last time did not work.

Hope everyone has a great day. Stay safe. Aloha y'all

Good morning Red, Lori & everyone that follows!

Red, I would say that picture will definitely show the service people what they need to do to fix your problem. I hope it's a quick fix so you can get back on the road real soon.

Lori, hope you sleep better tonight.

We woke up to temperatures in the low 50's this morning, so it's nice being almost 20 degrees warmer than it has been for the last four mornings. We'll get into the mid 70's with partly sunny skies. It looks like rain will be moving in tomorrow and Friday, but Florida really needs the rain, so I can't complain.

The Asst. Sultan has a cold and is sniffling & sneezing, but he's taking vitamin C with hopes he'll be feeling better soon. So we'll probably have a quiet day at the campground relaxing and taking it easy. I need to get some dishes put away and get the bed made and start my day. Have a good day everyone!

Good morning ladies!

I'm in Cedar Key for a week. Dry camped in the Ocala NF most of last week so decided to treat myself to FHU and free wifi for a week. Woke up to 58 and light rain here. Supposed to rain off and on all day and thunderstorms tomorrow. Good weather for sitting inside and surfing the net.

Red, hope the warranty work goes quickly and that it is all covered under warranty.

Irmi, have you tried EmergenC? Tried it last fall in KY and it works so well for me that I always carry it with me.

Have a safe day everyone.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

The day has dawned warmer than the past few, although it is still a bit cloudy out there. I am hoping for some swimming weather soon here!

Yesterday Kathy and I got her receipt for her Fun Pass changed into her yearly ticket, and toured a bit of Sea World. Although the place no longer has interactions between trainers and the killer whales due to the unfortunate drowning accident of that girl trainer and her whale a couple of years ago, the dolphin show has become spectacular! The trainers and dolphins have taken over where the killer whales have been left out of the interaction. They have also incorporated a wonderful trapeze show with the dolphins which was super entertaining!

I am trying to find an alternative to my home property for the Ruckus next year, depending on how many rigs and people decide they can come....I could have electricity for Sarah's CPAP machine, but, otherwise, it is strictly boondocking there, with generators and whatnot. I have a huge shelter to keep us dry in the event of rains, plenty of firewood and tables, chairs, etc. There is a pond for canoeing or paddleboating, fishing, etc. The dump station is at a state park not far from my house. I will research how much the Wilmington KOA would charge us for a rally rate, which might be better for all those liking full hookups. I am willing to organize either site. As I discover how much and the available dates, I will be sure to advertise and post under the GTG room. I am also open to a site for next year's FL GTG, as well as the month and dates. So let me know your suggestions!

Today will be a clean-out-my-truck date, and I need to find where I have stashed all my maps and planned routes for traveling on the east coast. I need those and would hate to have to re-do all those.

Kathy's biopsy reports were negative but for one incidence of basal cell cancer, the mildest, least dangerous of all, for which she will apply an acidic cream for 6 weeks to eliminate it. She will have one more biopsy to wait for resutls for, and she may be in the clear. My two squamous cell sites on my legs are painful, angry red, and nasty looking right now. I only hope those dangerous cells have not strayed and that they are either dead or dying. Oherwise, it will be surgery removal later on. ACK!

I hope all is well with all of you and that you are having a good winter somewhere. Later........
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Good morning all, The sun is out again this morning, it actually was 57 yesterday afternoon for which I was grateful as the first part of Toby's obedience class was outside. He actually did much better than i expected. He did bark a bit at first but soon settled in and did well. It's a pretty mellow group with no out of control dogs. He did take exception to a poodle mix, so we tried to keep a distance. I like the trainer and her approach. This isn't training for competition but for an easier companion! The class is only 8 weeks and she covers a lot so we have work to do!
Red I hope you get your RV repaired quickly! That must be annoying to have to take it in again. Soos hope your leg heals without further treatment. I need to go see about a mole on my side, I went six months ago but it has changed since then, the doctor said it wasn't one to worry about but...doctors have been know to be wrong...
I hope everyone has a good day,

Good morning everyone. I am being very lazy this morning. I didn't go to bed until about 2 this morning, so slept in until 9. Wendy is never going to believe that! I am still drinking my coffee and enjoying being lazy. The birds are really chattering at me because I have not cleaned their cage yet today. They get pretty load when their routine is disrupted. Have not heard anything from the car dealership today, but the supervisor I spoke with yesterday said it would be this afternoon. I figure when they all get back from lunch. Barb Zee and I had a planning session on Facetalk this morning. Want to do a sandwich spread on Sunday around 11 and have Irmi, Steve and Carolb here. Carolb is leaving on Monday or Tuesday and really want to GTG with her again before she has to leave. Barb has to give Zeke his meds at 2 and it is hard for her to venture very far from her house because of his meds schedule. We can work around that. I will be happy to go get Irmi, Steve and Carolb to get them here.

Red, as was said earlier, that picture sure says it all. They ought to be able to figure out what is wrong from that picture.

Soos, I hope your legs heal without further treatment too. I am glad to hear about Kathy's news.

Irmi, I really enjoyed these temps this morning too. My furnace never came on during the night that I know of. A little rain here would be nice. Good excuse to get my laundry done. I need to do more loads. I haven't done more since the load I did while you were here. Laundry is my most disliked chore and I tend to put it off. Need to get my hiney moving on that, for sure.

BJ, glad to hear Toby did well at his class.

Donna, those crab cakes sound good!

Lori, I hope you get more sleep tonight.

Well, I guess I need to get myself fixed up for the day. Need to fix my hair and be ready in case the dealership calls soon. Then I will get started on my chores. I am usually finished with all by this time of the day. Like I said, I am really lazy today and I realize that is OK once in a while.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.
