Good morning everyone...great day here a little cool but will warm up nicely! Out and about with sister.Yesterday sis and I went out and did a little shopping, went to Viera. Went over to The Avenue, stopped at Michaels. Then went over to the WM plaza and stopped at Holly Lobby and Ross’s. I got a couple tops and a table cloth at Ross’s. Took us all day for 3 stores, we would have to spend a week or more to visit every store there. Also had lunch at Chic -fil-A Here is a link to the shops at The Avenue

Good Morning from the 45th,

HorizonSeeker, thanks for starting Coffee this morning. Seems to be kind of quiet here this morning. Guess evrybody's busy or just waking up :) I see you are busy "spending money" and having a good time doing it :) Shopping, lunch and time with friends, plus a few bargains along the way, makes for a great day.

Not much doing here today. Getting ready to run the vac and then run to town to pick up a few supplies to keep the dogs homemade diet going. Mostly bread and the Tums which they need for the calcium. Wish I could find some Calcium Carbonate, but so far no luck around here. Will have to go on line I guess. Tums is another sourc for it, but they are all flavored and dogs aren't too peachy on flavored stuff for the most part.

Reading all the posts about the GTG over the past week, looking at all the pics, seeing where everybody's going and plans beginning to form for summer travel, has me wanting to get out ther and go. Am RV dreaming again, but funds are prohibiting that at the moment. When the time is right..... I've been reading about how Cudedog (new member) has been turning a van into her personal RV and that's seriously what I have been thinking of for the last few years. I hope she will post again and let us know how she is doing with it, or at least post and let us know how she is doing. I see Soos is already thinking about her Ruckus later this summer too.

Had a good "Cabin Fever Reliever" day yesterday. A good hour long aerobics workout at the gym followed by an afternoon of talk, laughs and Quizzler with my cousins. Was fun. We were all getting bored. Winter is going to be here for awhile, none of usfelt like doing anything in the house etc., so we just said lets' have a "play day". I love Quizzler. It's a great game to make yuo think and also using some math skills too.

Well, not going to take up this space with a lot of nothing. Time to run vac and head to town. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning. Back to unloading for me. Then we will haul her down to the dealers for some warranty work. Mountains of laundry and mail!!! Just want to get back in and hit the roadside meet up in The Keys :P Tyler is happy to be off leash and patrolling the properly again. I probably was not giving him long enough walks while traveling. I'm really tired, so I think I'm gonna go back to bed for a little snooze before tackling the long list. Everyone have a fun and safe day. Aloha y'all

Good morning everyone. I am sitting here enjoying my second cup of coffee. I decided on Hawaiian Hazelnut this morning. I bought a Mr. Coffee Keurig type coffee maker. It is about $100 less expensive than the Keurig and I get to enjoy my coffee one cup at a time again. I was getting really tired of pouring out coffee everyday. It's just too expense it keep putting it down my drain. Also got the little reusable kcups so I don't have to buy the boxes of kcups. Another savings there. I am moving slow here today too. I need to get up, get my shower and start working on getting my chores done. I am hoping my car is ready to pick up today. If not, the dealership can pay for another day in the rental car for me. When I do get it, going to go see Irmi and Steve then over to Barb's. Need to take the car to Alliance RV too so they can order my base plate and braking system. It would be really great if they can install everything in the car and I don't have to take the rig over there too, but doubt if that can happen. I just hate having to stow everything to drive 2 blocks.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning,

Dawn, I am loving my single cup coffee maker as well. I have used the 'fill it yourself' coffee basket twice - wasn't too impressed. Treating myself to the K-cups at the moment, but that will change. Coffee is so strong, I have been using K-cup twice! Also just went to yesterday MC and read about your mother. I'm sorry you have some of that stress back - vent all you want!

Once again I am tired and stressed - I want to be relaxing in the Keys!! I don't know how people just go, go, go! I am so ready for a day off. I am thinking of Mitch's recent post about regrets when dying, and I am making myself miserable by doing what others want. Today my friend and I are going shopping at stores I have no need to go to. She is good company so guess I should look at it that way. Sigh.

Sunday at the casino was fun, but we were there 5 or 6 hours!

We had another ride yesterday and have exhausted this area of Yuma. Not that much to see. The fields of veggies are beautiful.

I got up early so I could get some organizing and cleaning done before time to go so best get moving

Such a mix of news on here with grandbaby visits, illness, travel, staying in one place - prayers and warm thoughts for all.

Good Morning to all - The sun is up and Bill is still sleeping so I am enjoying peace and quiet. The first thing out of his mouth when he gets up is "What are we going to do today?" Some days I just want to say NOTHING! Let the day take care of itself.
Yesterday though we went to a little shop in the golden zone where they sell Huichol beaded items - they told us about a big project the Huichol Indians did - they beaded a 1990 volkswagen - I post a link to it on my blog - really amazing work.

stopped to talk about parasailing - working my nerve up to do it. I want a warmer not windy day to try it.
went to the used book store again and got more reading matter.
Stay safe on the roads everyone - hope winter is almost over.

Good Morning, the sun is out and hopefully it is going to warm up. It's going to be exciting as it is Toby's first day at school ACK!! I hope we aren't sent home or advised he needs to go to a special class for behavior issues  I took him to Petco again on Sunday and there were others dogs shopping nice with their owners. He barked and was aggressive, I think it is fear aggression but still, we made a hasty retreat for the exit.  He did however learn his first assignment they told us to work on last week in two tries, not that I expect he will do it at class but, he does learn quickly.

I have the Keurig coffee maker and use the refillable cup attachment, I love it and I can make a 1/2 decaff 1/2 regular cup with it. I like to use my coffee that I order coffee from a place in NY http://www.portorico.com/store/ and can get several varieties. Would like to try the coffee Carol talks about that they buy in Mexico, you really can notice the difference when it is made in smaller batches and they only use the ripe beans. She did a blog entry on how the coffee was made which was really interesting.

Think of us this evening!

Good Morning from 26 degree Normal...
My son is out of the hospital and back to work... they concluded he had the flu... I have my appointment for knee injections tomorrow very early!! actually the time is before I wake up... Thursday Margie gets more injections in her spine... I will spend the day with her...

Oh did I make a mess yesterday had my lunch and a glass of milk... thought I could carry it all... the lunch with tomatoes wound up on my living room floor... I ate what was left and drank the milk... before I did that I had to clean up... I never eat in the kitchen always in my recliner...

I had the Keurig bought it from e-bay it was the big one and I also bought the insert that you use for your own coffee... I found I got more bang for my buck if I used my coffee grinder to make the coffee very fine... that way I used less... one day I will get another but the smaller one cup version... I saw that you can use the k cups more than once simply take off the cover and put a layer of the stick to itself film and you can use it several times... have not tried that but if and when I get the new one will see how it works...

Everyone does sound so busy... I have grown very lazy over the years...

Is there a big enough rv park at the Keys to accommodate all of you gals? Sure sounds like a fine time you all are having...

Have a great day use your face muscles smile often...

Good morning from beautiful Slab City! Supposed to be another nice day here but then the weather starts going downhill tomorrow night. Another winter storm coming down from Canada area and temps dropping down to low to mid 60's with wind. I wish Canada would keep their crappy weather up there!

Just chillin' out here until Anita gets here later in the week and then we're supposed to do some exploring in the RZR's. Should be fun! Anita, sounds like you need a day or two off to just chill. I may be able to arrange that here if you want...

Go Toby!! He'll learn, BJ, he's still a puppy and they absorb knowledge like a sponge!

Good luck with your knees, Kath.

Hope everyone has a great day and travel safe!

This stupid virus had me too foggy to do anything constructive yesterday, so I just laid on the couch and surfed the net. I found this:

Antique carved rosewood and lavender jade -- wow! I sent the link to Sister #2 and told her I wanted it for Christmas; she could find one in China this summer. She got a pretty good laugh out of it, since the price tag is $120,000.

I think I'll be able to get out as far as the library today. I'd better, since they're holding a book about Natchez for me. There's incentive!

BJ so good to hear from you.

Anita, remember how you said you don't like controversy? Sometimes you need it to put your foot down and take necessary time for yourself. We'll let Sharon do it for you this time :-) .

Morning - it's still morning here anyway. I had to go in for my annual squishage, my mammogram. PSA - if you haven't had one in a year, please schedule your mammogram soon.

I gave DBF a Keurig for Christmas in 2011. He loves it. I got the smaller one so he could take it with us in the Land Dinghy if he wanted. So far, he's left it at home.

That's about all that's going on in my world.

It's a bit past morning, but I slept in and have been catching up on some stuff.

Yesterday, I turned in my rental car, ran some errands, did a bit of exploring, and bought some stone crab claws for dinner. They were delicious!!

Highs of 77 today and mostly sunny. My goals for today are to get caught up on grading stuff and read more of the new textbook for the class I will be teaching next semester (April). I have been teaching the same class for 22 years, so it is about time I got out of my rut! :)

Also, am going to start some ribs today, eat a few and freeze the rest. I posted my recipe, by the way, for those of you who wanted it.

Was so glad to hear yesterday that they were able to rescue that little boy and killed his captor. What a terrible ordeal. Finally a positive outcome on a potentially tragic situation.

Got some snow overnight but it is starting to warm up now and will be near 30 for the next week or so. Yay! I am so tired of the frigid temps we've been having lately.

Carol, that beaded car is beautiful! Tons of work! That one restaurant on the beach looked really nice. Too bad they had no service! The food probably wouldn't have been too good tho, either.

Wish I was heading for the Keys too! How many are heading down there? We need lots of pics gals!! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
