Superbowl Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Superbowl Sunday

Postby avalen » Sun Feb 03, 2013 7:15 am

Good morning ladies, well, it is Superbowl Sunday but I'm not in to the superbowl. I do enjoy the ads though.
Everybody must be sleeping in cause I'm already through half a pot of coffee and nobodies here.
I did take a drive out to my rv yesterday and got all the measurements I wanted and recorded the size for
my new tires. Also did a little research on where I want to put it when I set it up. The park I had picked
out which is close to daughter and close to work does not allow dogs so guess that one is out. Could go
back to where I was before but their space rent is way over the top now, $511, HOLY MOLY!! Its a nice place
but just don't think its THAT nice. There are other options farther east and it gets cheaper that direction.
Will also check the possibilities on the north side. I'm glad I don't have to make a decision right away, I
have plenty of time to think this out.
Getting laundry done and for the afternoon I'll probably get outside and enjoy some sunshine. Ya'll have
a great day and be safe.

Good morning Ava, KarenS & everyone that follows!

Ava, I hope you find a park to keep your rig in, one suitably priced and pet friendly.

This is the third morning in a row that we've woken up to real cold temperatures in Ocala. But the sun is up and it won't be long before the temperatures will be around the 70 degree mark. It's so much nicer here than the weather we'd be having in MD.

The Superbowl game comes on 6:30 and I can guarantee you that it'll be on here. I'm not a football fan, but hubby is. Since our home team, the Baltimore Ravens, are playing, I may even watch it.

A large handful of ladies from the FL GTG are on their way to the Keys, so I'm looking forward to hearing about their trip. I hope all of you have a good day!

Sunday and cold... I know the Super Bowl will be on at my daughters place maybe I will go and she and I can play a few games... or maybe I will stay home and watch a movie... used to watch sports with my husband but alone is not as fun...
I have had my oatmeal and blue berries and am having coffee this morning... can have tea later...'
Ava those lot prices are over the top... I pay $260 that includes water then there is garbage on top of that... they are letting a few RV"s here in the mobile home park guess that is because some of the lots are empty. If I go away I still pay for my mobile home... I often wonder how people pay for their mobile homes and also have the lot rent...
Almost time to get ready for church here...
Have a fun filled day and half of you will be happy the other half will be crying in their beer!

Good morning everyone. I have been up for awhile but have been looking at my trip planner plotting the trip to Oklahoma. Looks like the best way to go will be I10 and then I59 up to Shreveport to pick up I20.

Ava, I am glad you have some time to think about what park you want to be in. Having your furbaby with you is a very important factor.

Kathleen, I am so proud of you.

Irmi, thank goodness it doesn't stay cool very long in this neck of the woods. I think I am going to grill burgers this evening if you and Steve want to come over. I am just off I75 (Florida Turnpike) in Wildwood. If Carolb is still there, she is more than welcome too. Not sure who all is in Ocala right now. Any of you in the Ocala/Wildwood area is welcome. I will definitely have the game on. Both inside and outside the rig.

I need to get some laundry done today after I finish my chores. I didn't do any while we were at Hillsborough River SP. Didn't want to give up any of my fun time. Going to blow up my kayak today so I can see it in all it's glory. Paul and I are going to make a trip to Wally World then to Winn Dixie for burger fixins. My Aunt told me yesterday all the lakes here are connected for navigation, so may try that. Will be at least Tuesday since tomorrow I have to pickup the FIT and turn in the rental car. I did get a new Betta fish yesterday. I am going to call this one Blue2 (named by Barb Zee). Hopefully I will remember to put the soap dispenser up on any future trips. Sure shortened the life of Blue.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning all. I have just been away from the forum for just 1 day and boy have I got a lot of catching up to do!! Friday we had the truck in for service. Took them several hours, but they figured it out. Couldn't fix it, cuz they didn't have the part. It is the sensor unit for that stuff that keeps diesel smoke from being polluting. It can wait till we get home. We drove from Tucson up to Carlsbad Caverns yesterday. Spent the day wandering about and settled for the night at the Carlsbad KOA. Did not unhitch. This is one of those middle of nowhere spots. Their wifi just doesn't work. I cant even get a phone signal, let alone a hot spot. So I am writing this and will post when I find a hot spot. This KOA delivers food to your door. They do their own Texas BBQ and it was really good. And DH is picky about TX BBQ and he really liked it as well.

We will hit the road soon driving as Far East as we can before time to set up and watch the Super Bowl. Go 49ers. Then our last leg home will be tomorrow. But we are gonna just pull in front of the house and off load, them take her (the 5er) to the dealer for some more warranty work.

This has been a fun trip. We got to see and do stuff that was on both of our lists. I took the truck out by myself and got used to driving the monster. Because it hurts DH to get in & out of the truck so much for hitching, I've been doing that as well. So, I have been doing everything setting up and putting away and now some hitching. I really am getting the hang of our rig. I know I have so much more to learn, but really love it so far. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

Red, so proud of you. This just goes to show you can do this by yourself if you ever want to or need to.

Good morning to all - Didn't the superbowl used to be in January? Here in Mazatlan it is a big deal - all the restaurants withTVs and of course the sports bars are having SuperBowl parties. But the other day when there was an important soccer game on we couldn't find it on Tv anywhere. It is funny to watch American football announced in Spanish - goooooaaaaallllll!
We are kind of doing nothing for a few days - That drives Bill crazy but I kind of enjoy it. He wants to be on the go all the time.
Our house sitter says it's been snowing there for three days.....don't miss that.

Dawn, do you mean I-49 instead of 59? It runs from Lafayette to Shreveport.

Dawn, don't forget that Carolyn and I live near Lafayette. If you happen to stay near there let us know.

Red, good for you learning how to do everything. When we hauled horses I knew how to hook up the trailer and did some of the driving. I always tried to arrange it that I would be driving if we went through Houston. I didn't want to be going 70 and top one of the overpasses and the traffic would be stopped. My DH drove too fast to suit me.

It has warmed back up here and the a/c will be going on soon.

I'm not much of a football fan but sometimes I tape the Superbowl so I can watch the commercials and fast forward through the game.
