Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday cool down

Postby carolb » Thu Jan 31, 2013 7:47 am

Good morning all! :D

S-e, Colliemom, I didn't see that we posted at the same time yesterday, so want to say that I'm glad to hear that Tessa is hanging in there & I hope the antibiotics help her.. :( Kathleen, thanks for the info on yore dawghter & her health progress.

Oh, yes! Wicked weather--G-lf states & NoFL peoples, are y'all okay? Only 52 this morning in Ocala area. FL GTGers? How is it there??? I know Irmi got back to Ocala, bt don't know if it was with or withowt the help of bail money!!

I was still on a high from the GTG, that I took benadryl to sleep last night, not to mention all the bites I got from the past few days. Anyone else from the GTG s-ffering? So I'm groggy still this morning, so will make this short, rather than ramble, which I'm already doing!

Y'all have a great day, safe travels, & stay warm!!! :P

Good morning Carolb and all who follow.

Yes, the bug bites are all over my legs. Sarah's are really bad. Mine are just little spots now. Her's blistered up, then popped. I am worried she could get an infection. Liz loaned me her Off! last night and that helped a lot. I thought I had some with me, but don't know where I put it. I still have a few things I haven't located yet. When we get to Wildwood, I think I will empty out and re-organize some cabinets.

I was really tired last night, but could not sleep. It was one of those toss and turn nights. Legs were bothering me again. I have had so much fun here and have pushed through times when my body was telling me to lay down and rest. Just did not want to miss out on the fun and visiting. Especially had to tease Wendy about cooking yesterday. She really did cook. It didn't come to her from a hand out a window.  I missed getting to tell Irmi and Steve goodbye before they left. I didn't realize they were leaving yesterday.

We are going to be heading out this morning. As soon as I get finished with my coffee, I will get busy with stowing everything inside and out. We will be heading to Wildwood to spend a month visiting with Barb Zee and our aunt, who lives in The Villages during the winter months. Sarah and Wendy, after I get there, I will scope out CG's in the area for you. Hopefully in the same park as Paul and me. Started looking for a Honda FIT to get as a toad in the area last night. Looks like there might be at least one in Ocala. I need to find out from Nan what the name of her RV place is to get the base plate and braking system done.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good morning everyone. The FL gtg is winding down as everyone heads out. What a fun time had by all :P Yesterday we went to the desert museum again. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. On cooler days Tyler usually goes with us in the truck. He just loves to just hang out and sleep in the car while we tour. Yesterday it was not suppose to get over 60. So I walked him, gave him water, put the sun shade in the window and cracked the windows for air and went to buy our tickets for the museum. It was almost 50 at 11 am. A security guard came to me and asked if that was my truck with the dog locked in it?? Yes, it is. Not allowed to leave pets unattended in the car under any circumstances. They will call the AZ animal protectors and they will take him. Needless to say, we left. Just wasn't in the cards to see the desert museum this trip. So we went to the Titan missile museum. It was cool going down into the missile silo and see the Titan II missile. Growing up in the cold war with bomb shelters in the back yard and the "duck and cover" drills, this was a really interesting part of our history. Then saw the big open pit copper mining. Home, jacuzzi, bed.

Today is travel day. Headed for Las Cruces today. We will continue to research the best way to get to Carlsbad caverns. Neither of us tolerate winding mountain roads very well and DH doesn't have the confidence yet to tow the 5er on these kind of roads either. The maps show 3 routes, but we aren't sure which is the best. Otherwise, we will head east on 10 seeing the sites we missed running away from the cold front when we were headed west almost 3 weeks ago. Everyone have a great day and stay safe. Aloha y'all

The temperature was exactly half what it was 2 days ago as I was coming to work... 36 vs. 72.

Glad Wendy and Sarah were in FL - sounds like a riproarer went through yesterday. A town in GA not far from the AL border had a tornado. I meant to call my mom in Atlanta but forgot - bad daughter.

We're supposed to have a good weekend here - need to do some more yardwork. And I will look forward to having the doors open.

Good Morning,

Hmmm, sounds like Wendy is my kinda gal - doesn't cook!!! I knew I liked her just from her posts!!

We had another fun ride in the desert yesterday after getting the solar panel installed. I was sooo tired when we got home so have 2 days waiting to be blogged. The first day was an interesting abandoned mine, yesterday was the 'Oh Sh** Run' (which I loved).

Today we are off to Yuma for a week to ride with friends and get some shopping done.

So enjoyed the FL GTG - can't wait to be there next year!

Travel safe and hope all in the storm's path are okay.

I had a long drive yesterday--9 hours counting the quick stop at a grocery store, an hour in traffic for an accident, and a gas stop. I was really tired when I got here in Key Largo, so just stayed in after I set up.

My feet and ankles are spotted from bites, but no way as bad as Sarah's blisters! Need to make sure we all carry OFF and benadryl for bites. Luckily I had long pants on except for the last night.

Campground here has tight sites, but there is a little greenery between them, and I am happy when I can get satellite. Weather has cooled down this morning, which is nice. Wish the bugs would go away. I am afraid to leave windows open even with the screens. I am doing nothing today except some work and some reading, but am scheduled for a glass-bottomed boat tour tomorrow.

I also have reserved a rental car for late tomorrow for three days. I thought I would spend one day driving down to Key West. Looking forward to that.
