Colliemom checking in here. All I can say about the posts so far this morning is
Thanks ladies, got my laughs in for the day. Don't know what i would do without this forum. And Dawn, I thought the shot that Tina took of you was so becoming
Glad to see Vicki and Mitch are at it again. Been pretty quiet in that direction.
Well, the snow, freezing rain and light rain have moved through. I have about 4 or 5 inches of very heavy wet snow in my drive and will be heading out with the blower in a short bit here. The freezing rain let up by the time I got out of the vet's office and roads are starting to clear off. It came through early, so by time I headed to town with Tessa, the roads had been cleared and sand/salted, but still required some careful driving. All i can say is, my Flex has done a fantastic job so far this winter. It's all wheel drive is holding the road very well. Haven't come across anything we can't handle yet and like the one gal at the vets office sisad, you just gotta to know to drive in the stuff.
Dawn, thanks for your concern for Ms. Tessa and myself. It has been a roller coaster week here with up and down's from both of us. As of this morning, her BUN and CREA levels are stlll high, but her phsoperous levels have come down. She is also sowing a bacterial count in her urine which means the infection is back, so back on antibiotcs again. Also has an infection in her right eye and i have stuff to treat that. She hasn't lost any weight which was surprising to both her vet and I, but she is not eating other than some turkey I fed her just to see if she would eat. Now, she has been going out for short walks with Sassy and I these past couple of days and one earlier this week. Yesterday she was barking at the neighbor when she drove home with her car and she does spurt ahead of us on the road sometimes, so there is still some energy left when she feels up to it. I will be watching her this coming week to see how she does. Her vet and I have concurred that as long as there is still some quality of life left and she seems to be enjoying it for the most part, I am going to leave her be. But if I see it's going and she's not interested in doing anything, eating or what not. Then I will make that call and he said he will be ready. Right now she is sleeping, wore out from the vet visit. It's going to be a day by day thing now.
I also have word from the owners of Maple Ridge where I spent the month of December and have been going to for the past 10 years, that they have made the decision to sell the place off. It's been talked about for awhile now and they have plans to form acondo association and sell each of the individual units off as condos. They run from around 900-1,000 square feet. I will have an option to purchase if i want. Now, my situation is such, that i cannot do that unless I sell my house here as I need money from one to buy the other. Plus I am going to have to make a decision eventually as to whether or not I really want to pursue my dream of moving up there or stay in the northern lower. There is also a log home across the highway over here and a small lake that is more dried up than lake, that i have had my eye on for awhile and that was listed in November. Just now found out about it. I love that area over there cause of all the roads and trails to walk on. Don't care that much about the little lake. So my mind is in a bit of a whirl right now with all this going on. ACK, as Soos said. Decidsion, decisions.
Sounds like the FL GTG is going strong and so far no trouble. But I am enjoying reading the posts and geting the laughs, so I can well see what's going on down there. Hopefully the bail money won't have to used. But I'm sure, knowing the ladies on this forum that if it did and was not enough, that fund raising would take place
Enjoy it all.
