Monday, and No Call for the Bail Fund, YET...

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, and No Call for the Bail Fund, YET...

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Mon Jan 28, 2013 8:13 am

I see that all is going well at the FL GTG....and no one has called me for the bail fund, yet.... ;) But it's still early in the game and you never know about that bunch gathering in FL....They all can be "wild & Crazy" at times.... ;)  And Soos has the "recipe"....and of course, I just know there's wine, too.... ;)  The report has Steve doing a great job as Asst. Sultan and the food is superb as always...The gang visit the Fort yesterday and are enjoying the time together... :D Can't wait for more reports and photos....

We're having a "retired military style" GTG here starting today....Tina, Beth, Peggy, & Carolb have met some of the "old Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, & Airmen"....another crazy bunch..... ;)  Like the WomenRVers, we eat, drink, gab and have fun, but this bunch is in bed by 8PM.. ..unlike the gals who stay up late, like 9PM....  Pot Luck here, too...and we're in charge of the wine.... :D ;)

Okay, coffee is ready and orange sweet rolls this morning....Help yourselves....

Have a great day, all.... :D

Good morning Lori. Those orange sweet rolls sound really good this morning. Steve is doing a great job. Ernie will be proud. So far, so good. Haven't needed the bail fund yet. We did talk about it being available if we needed it yesterday. You never know what this crazy group is going to get into. Especially Wendy. It was really great that JoanE and Carolb came in for the day yesterday. I think Carolb is coming back today. We also were pleasantly surprised to find that Dale (the new crossover from ORS) was also here.

I have been up since about 6:30, but not moving very fast this morning. Just enjoying my coffee and the morning. Will have to get moving when I finish my second cup. Didn't get any housework done yesterday. Just too many fun things going on yesterday. Someone is fixing breakfast this morning but I don't remember who. I am not a breakfast first thing person, so I think I will just hang here and get some things done before I head out for the day to see what everyone is up to. Liz and Thistle along with CArol and Maggie have already been out walking this morning. I'm lazier than that. My group has to stay around the site until later.

Hope everyone has a great day and if you are traveling, stay safe.

Good Morning - coming to life on the west coast....

I think the rains are done so we plan to take the RZR out today for a ride. We won't take all the dead end trails today so will get farther :)

We went back to our winter park yesterday. I got 4 loads of laundry done and L picked up extra stuff for staying gone longer.

I have been attempting to get my blog started, but still searching for how to get more free photo storage on blogspot. Never have time at one sitting to solve the issue and I am ready to post some things!

Have a good day all!!

Morning - back at work for me this morning. Wish I was in FL - sounds like fun abounds.

We did yardwork yesterday and I was in shorts all weekend. That's something I guess. We cut down a bunch of limbs to protect the trailer roof. OK, it wasn't the only reason, but it does help when you don't have branches brushing even the metal roofs.

We do need to get our roof inspected and sealed where necessary. For those that do it yourself, how do you do it? Do you actually climb up on the roof? I'm afraid DBF or I would fall through so I guess I need to make an appt at the RV dealer.

Good Monday to everyone... clouds and rain... 30's is all we will get...
I found 78 cents to add to the bail fund Lori... you never know what can happen down there where we can't supervise what is going on..
Finally broke down and got two books I had to pay for on my Kindle... they give you a free book and it is usually the first in a series... still have Christmas money in my account...
Take care everyone

Good morning all. Love the photos of the FL gtg....it's off to a great start. Dawn is gonna try kayaking :P I think she will enjoy it very much. We are lucky to have missed all the rain that stalled over Phoenix. It has been gloriously beautiful here in Tucson. Beth is driving down today and we will go sight seeing to the mission :P I'm excited to get to spend some time and get to know her. Don't know if DH will feel like going with...he's not up yet and I don't know how he will feel when he does. Met another RV woman here at the park. Not a member of the forum...yet!! She has had several MHs. Then boyfriend talked her into new 5ver just last year, then said boyfriend decided not to travel anymore and moved out. She is a masuess and I got a nice massage yesterday followed by a wonderful soak in the jacuzzi. I really don't want to go home. Having too much fun.

Woo Hoo!! It's cold here! I stuck my nose out the door when I let Chewy out to potty and did a quick backstroke into the house! But at least there's no sleet, no snow and no ice, so relatively speaking I really have nothing to whine about. Not that anything but warmer weather is going to stop me. I don't do cold gracefully...and by cold I mean anything below 70.

Off to Wallyworld again today to restock for upcoming trip to Glamis. Double yay. Wouldn't even go there, but I have something to return from my last foray there for the Q trip. May try and get a haircut while I'm in Hemet.

I had such a great time in Q with the crew I really hated to leave!

I'm planning on meeting up with Donna and Anita (Chalet) at the Slabs around the 4th or 5th if anyone is in the neighborhood, and it's looking like Coastal is gonna join us. IF she can figure out which side of the Salton Sea Niland is on! I'm sorry Lyn (Coastal) I just couldn't help myself! If anyone else is in the neighborhood come on by!!

Looks like the Fla GTG is in full swing! Yay! Have fun guys and watch Liz, the law seems to show up wherever she is! LOL!

Stay warm and travel safe!

**edited to change Coastal's name from Anita to Lyn....

Okay, which one of us are you picking on, my name with Coastal's screen name? Or is it both??

We will be at the Slabs Feb 7.

   On Coastal this time, her name is Anita, too, I'm pretty sure. But that doesn't mean you're safe!

OK, just had a brain fart and went and checked, Coastal's name is Lyn. sigh. I explained to her just this morning how confoosed I can get...didn't realize it was this bad!

You're still not safe.

I set my alarm so I could get my motorhome to the shop this morning. The only reason I want to get up early. I hope the problem isn't the faucet because it is almost impossible to get to. They must have installed the faucet before they glued the counter top down. When I pick it up will pass by the Ford place and get it serviced. Then I hope I can go somewhere. Would so like to be at the Florida GTG.

The rain is suppose to be here tomorrow. Hope we don't have another 10" rain, we haven't dried out from the last one. It is very overcast today but still 70. I had to give up yesterday and turn the air conditioner back on. If our windows weren't so hard to open I would open some windows. They are the kind that are suppose to be easy to clean because they will swing open inside. I have yet to figure out how to do that. I'm sure my son could figure them out but I don't want to clean windows anyway.

Colliemom checking in here. All I can say about the posts so far this morning is     Thanks ladies, got my laughs in for the day. Don't know what i would do without this forum. And Dawn, I thought the shot that Tina took of you was so becoming :x :x Glad to see Vicki and Mitch are at it again. Been pretty quiet in that direction.

Well, the snow, freezing rain and light rain have moved through. I have about 4 or 5 inches of very heavy wet snow in my drive and will be heading out with the blower in a short bit here. The freezing rain let up by the time I got out of the vet's office and roads are starting to clear off. It came through early, so by time I headed to town with Tessa, the roads had been cleared and sand/salted, but still required some careful driving. All i can say is, my Flex has done a fantastic job so far this winter. It's all wheel drive is holding the road very well. Haven't come across anything we can't handle yet and like the one gal at the vets office sisad, you just gotta to know to drive in the stuff.

Dawn, thanks for your concern for Ms. Tessa and myself. It has been a roller coaster week here with up and down's from both of us. As of this morning, her BUN and CREA levels are stlll high, but her phsoperous levels have come down. She is also sowing a bacterial count in her urine which means the infection is back, so back on antibiotcs again. Also has an infection in her right eye and i have stuff to treat that. She hasn't lost any weight which was surprising to both her vet and I, but she is not eating other than some turkey I fed her just to see if she would eat. Now, she has been going out for short walks with Sassy and I these past couple of days and one earlier this week. Yesterday she was barking at the neighbor when she drove home with her car and she does spurt ahead of us on the road sometimes, so there is still some energy left when she feels up to it. I will be watching her this coming week to see how she does. Her vet and I have concurred that as long as there is still some quality of life left and she seems to be enjoying it for the most part, I am going to leave her be. But if I see it's going and she's not interested in doing anything, eating or what not. Then I will make that call and he said he will be ready. Right now she is sleeping, wore out from the vet visit. It's going to be a day by day thing now.

I also have word from the owners of Maple Ridge where I spent the month of December and have been going to for the past 10 years, that they have made the decision to sell the place off. It's been talked about for awhile now and they have plans to form acondo association and sell each of the individual units off as condos. They run from around 900-1,000 square feet. I will have an option to purchase if i want. Now, my situation is such, that i cannot do that unless I sell my house here as I need money from one to buy the other. Plus I am going to have to make a decision eventually as to whether or not I really want to pursue my dream of moving up there or stay in the northern lower. There is also a log home across the highway over here and a small lake that is more dried up than lake, that i have had my eye on for awhile and that was listed in November. Just now found out about it. I love that area over there cause of all the roads and trails to walk on. Don't care that much about the little lake. So my mind is in a bit of a whirl right now with all this going on. ACK, as Soos said. Decidsion, decisions.

Sounds like the FL GTG is going strong and so far no trouble. But I am enjoying reading the posts and geting the laughs, so I can well see what's going on down there. Hopefully the bail money won't have to used. But I'm sure, knowing the ladies on this forum that if it did and was not enough, that fund raising would take place

Enjoy it all.
